[Bug 662578] Re: SNMP not able to poll basic mibs
I give you more informations. Up to Lucid, installing the package snmp, a list of mib files was installed in the directory /usr/share/snmp/mibs This list included a lot of basic mib files, allowing the user to poll those mibs. In Maverick, the direcory /usr/share/snmp/mibs doesn't exist any more. [Bug 662435] Re: megatec_usb driver stopped working after upgrade from 8.04 to 10.04
It works now! I reinstalled 2.4.3 and checked the blazer_usb driver again. First I thought it did not work but then discovered a configuration error: When changing from megatec to blazer, the value for offdelay needs to be changed. In megatec it is minutes and in blazer it is seconds. As it does not allow a value smaller than 6, the blazer_usb refused to work (it was 1 in megatec). Thanks a lot to Arnaud for the quick reply! MySQL 5.1 fails with Incorrect a rguments to mysq ld_stmt_execute on the
following prepared statement:

if and only if mysql logging is disabled.
The problem does not occur on Debian 5.0, Ubuntu 09.04, 09.10, 10.04.
Setting the following lines in /etc/mysql/my.conf makes the problem go away:
general_log_file= /var/log/mysql/mysql.log
general_log = 1
I tried it repeatedly and enabling logging really seems to make a
difference. This was confirmed by rodneymillerpca in
http://stendhalgame.org/chat/2010-10-19.html
I attached a network dump of both a good and a bad case. Note that the
data sent from the client to the mysql server is bit by bit identical in
both cases. The following java code is used to execute the statement:

I am also experiencing this problem on Ubuntu 10.04, openssh-server 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu4, as well as on Ubuntu 9.10. I would like to clarify that the problem appears to lie within the server, not the client. My client is running CentOS 5.5 and the problem occurs when connecting to Ubuntu servers, but not when talking to servers running CentOS 5.5. One of the machines (a NAS) has a number of similarly named exports with spaces in the name. autonfs appears to only see the name upto the first space. The awk script in /etc/auto.net that parses the output of showmount doesn't consider that there may be spaces in the export name. When running amarok from CLI, I am also having this printed to stderr: QVariantMap DBusMenuExporterDBus::GetProperties(int, const QStringList): Condition failed: action During playback of music files, the music will skip and that message will print to the CLI at the same time as the skip. That's if amarok starts at all. I can get it to start once if I rm -rf .kde/share/apps/amarok/ So, if I rm the amarok directory as above and start it with amarok --debug, it works normally until I close it. However it still prints the above message to stderr if I click or interact with the tray icon in any way. It will also print when changing song, even with all kinds of notifications disabled. After I close Amarok normally and start it again with amarok --debug, this is printed, seemingly endlessly (on a 2.67Ghz Core i7, I've let it run for ~5 minutes with no end). Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org The problem seems to be related with the match() function, if I don't include it the macros are opened when I open the document as a template, when I include it the macros are not opened (I get an error message of Script could not be ... ). I create two simple spreadsheets to reproduce. test1.ods: it just has a macro to open test2.ods as a template, and a button to trigger the macro. test2.ods: it has a macro that prints Hello World, customization to open the macro both when the file opened as a new document template) or normally, and a couple of cells with data and another one with the function match() to read from these data. Steps to reproduce: 1) open test2.ods directly, macro is executed. 2) open test1.ods and click the button to open test2.ods as a template, error is reported and macros are not loaded 3) a) open test2.ods and erase the cell with the match function, save b) open test1.ods and click the button to open test2.ods, macro is loaded and executed without any problem Including any other function that I tried in test2.ods instead of match() does not reproduce the problem, as far as I can tell. This happens to me using OOo 3.2.1 in Ubuntu, so it started hapenning with Maverick when 3.2.1 started being shipped. I'm not able to reproduce it using 3.2.1 under Windows, or version 3.2.0 in Fedora 13. The main /etc/bash_completion script and many of the helper scripts
under /etc/bash_completion.d/ fail for shells running with one or both
of set -o nounset (fail if variables are used without being defined)
and/or shopt -s failglob (fail if a GLOB pattern fails to match).
I run my interactive shells with both these options set.
For example:

Also, a few of the eval expressions in the scripts use backslashes
but fail to fully protect square bracket characters on arrays, which
are then taken as failed GLOB expressions.
The attached patch fixes at least some of the problems with the main
script so that it runs without error for shells using set -o nounset
and shopt -s failglob.
The helper scripts for findutils and mutt in /etc/bash_completion.d/
also have errors when used in shells using set -o nounset and shopt
-s failglob, but I'm not so confident that I understand them to fix
them correctly. Here are some patches that remove some of the errors
in these scripts but don't seem to fully work properly:

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xine-ui xine-ui version 0.99.6-1 Ubuntu version 10.10 In the upgrade to 10.10, the volume-up key for xine stopped working when using software audio mixing. Previously, V (capital V) served to increase the volume and v lowered it. In 10.10, v works as before to lower volume but V no longer raises the volume - volume levels remain at the same level. Very occasionally, it will raise the volume a few levels (bars) but then stop altogether and no longer respond. This latter behavior is not reproducible. The keys for amplification up/down behave identically to volume up/down, as if they actually mapped to the same function (in both cases, it's actually Amplification that's display in the OSD - this was the case in 10.04 and prior, and the volume down key work as expected then). Using the volume slider in the GUI window works fine. When configured to Sound card mixing, the keys work as expected. However, Sound card mixing is undesirable. This is also an issue in DK. trying to isolate the issue on 10,04 I had the experiences as #2, 1.0.x worked perfectly and 1.1.x simply didn't work, getting the same errors as #7. My issue is that on 10.10 only VLC 1.1.x is available.
