At least I think that it was pulseaudio but it may have been indicator-sound. Indicator-sound appears muted and when I click on sound preferences it shows "Waiting for sound system to respond". I have a good feeling that if I don't hit the cancel button, this would show for eternity. Hello, This bug are confirmed in my system (Ubuntu 10.10 x32, cairo-dock with cairo backend). That's happened when Dustbin Applet try to know the weight of many elements I put inside the trash. In my case, about 1500 (images, text, old folders, etc.), but with a limited weight (total was just 25 Mio). So, the CPU is used at 100% and the RAM increased for attain 100% too. What will happen, of course, is that the kernel will copy data outside of the (then smaller) 2GB DMA region to the 2GB DMA region, even for hardware that is fully 32-bit DMA capable.
