[Bug 685783] [NEW] Search folder for Unread mail displays read mail as well after application launch
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I have a search folder that displays unread mail. It is configured to Include threads NONE. Find items: IF ALL CONDITIONS ARE MET. STATUS IS NOT READ. And in a few specific folders (some imap, some local). When I Launch Evo the contents of this folder contains some unread mail, but also a lot of read mail, some dating back years. I have looked, but have found no apparent pattern regarding mails included into this view. Sometimes unread mail show up as the last email in the view and reading it causes a new one to take its place. I.e. all unread mail is not shown from start, and reading one will cause another to take its place. This conditions goes away after some time, some sort of refresh is required for it to do so (new mail arriving does not fix it). [Bug 683609] Re: icons in music source and music folder dropdown are different size
I attached a patch to the original Gnome bug report yesterday which uses the Gtk.Icon.SizeLookup () function to determine the actual size of the theme icons (see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=175841action=edit), because 16 is not a guaranteed size for all themes and all icon sets. The folder list is a default Gtk folder browser control, so there's no work to be done on that one. But it was pointed out in the original bug report that the reason it's so large and bold is most likely done to have it stand out a bit. If that's the case I agree with Andreas that it should be converted into a sidebar. That looks to be more consistent with other applications and similar screens. Unfortunately that requires more work than I have time for right now, so feel free to take a look at that, but make sure you notify people via the original Gnome bug report so the Banshee developers are aware that someone is working on the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/683609 Title: icons in music source and music folder dropdown are different size -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Okay, an update: I'm still running Maverick, with current packages from xorg- edgers/radeon (mesa @ git20101130), and the 2.6.37-020637rc3-generic mainline kernel. Many improvements: * The drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22 error is history, thanks to Alex Deucher: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25544 * I'm not getting GPU lockups anymore! * I still get the X server crash if I try to switch desktops while a GL app is running in (Ubuntu) GNOME. I was ultimately somewhat able to get a core dump, and send in bug #671293, but the use of PPA packages didn't play well with the Apport tracing service. * Still seeing the wonky text, but this only shows up in the (Ubuntu) GNOME environment. My normal desktop is Xfce, and it's now running on Maverick with all the latest stuff, and I don't see anything like it there. [Bug 685801] [NEW] Serial console not working on Ubuntu 10.10
Public bug reported: I am trying to setup a serial console between two ubuntu machines. Basically, I am trying to follow the below mentioned article for the same, but with no luck so far. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SerialConsoleHowto I am pretty sure that my server side configurations are done properly since I am getting the login prompt when using windows machine (hyperterminal) as client to connect any of these machines. But, when I am trying to connect to the same machine from another Ubuntu machine (via minicom) as the client, I am not getting the login prompt on the serial console. Since setup is working fine with the windows (hyperterminal).
