[Bug 718127] Re: CVE-2010-2951 and CVE-2010-3072 still exists in Lucid and CVE-2010-2951 still exists in maverick
2010-2951 is not relevant to the Lucid package (3.0 series) which does not attempt DNS over IPv6. 2010-3072 correct patch for Lucid package version as referenced by the upstream advisory can be found at http://www.squid- cache.org/Versions/v3/3.0/changesets/squid-3.0-9189.patch Also, Please consider 3.1.10 package (now in Natty) for back-porting as a whole to Maverick. The upstream bug is closed against 3.1 (Target Milestone), since the directive does not exist in 3.0 but was added in 3.1. The 3.0 packaging attempting to use the configure option has no affect. The package reference in the changelog is for Debian bug number and shows that when Debian upgraded their package to 3.1 series the bug was closed. [Bug 719838] [NEW] evince crashes while display LaTeX 'microtype' package documentation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince To reproduce: 1) Download the documentation for the LaTeX package 'microtype': http://mirrors.med.harvard.edu/ctan/macros/latex/contrib/microtype/microtype.pdf (also attached) 2) Open it in evince 3) Scroll to page 4 Result: evince segfaults. Okular and xpdf both display it fine, though there's some 'clever' code on that page that appears to be displaying different things depending on whether the viewer claims PDF 1.5 support. So their ability to display the document may just reflect their being more pessimistic about their own abilities. But it is a real document, that I'd really like to read, and that has legitimate reason to be using these funny features, so it would be nice if evince would stop segfaulting. For the most part all the error messages in dmesg are generic "the gpu locked up" type stuff; the one bit that stands out as unusual is: [ 5486.401830] [drm:init_ring_common] *ERROR* render ring initialization failed ctl head tail start however even that looks a bit generic. Phil, it was already requested twice to attach the information from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingNetworkManager. There is really nothing that a developer can do about this bug without debugging information. [Bug 711225] Re: subprocess.Popen() crashed with TypeError in _cleanup(): an integer is required
Ah, so you can reproduce it? This is a complete mystery to me, so can you download attached file into /tmp/, and then run these commands in a Terminal (please copy & paste to keep them exactly like that:) sudo killall jockey-backend sudo PYTHONPATH=/tmp/ /usr/share/jockey/jockey-backend --debug 2>&1 | tee /tmp/log Then start Jockey from the menu as usual, and repeat the steps that lead to the crash. At some point, the jockey-backend program in the terminal should then crash with the TypeError. Once that happens, please attach /tmp/log here. [Bug 719831] [NEW] Strange artifacts related to the xorg's intel driver
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel Here the details: 1.) Some areas in the GUIs of my wine applications appear as black areas. This bug has been reported here (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30157) and here (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24430) and appear to be related to Xorg's Intel driver (2.12). 2.) The pull-down menus of the main panel or any window's menu fail to appear after a first click. It usually needs a second click to show up. I have a notebook with integrated Intel core GPU and a discrete ATI Radeon GPU (HD 5600 series). The two issues mentioned above only occurred while using the integrated Intel core GPU. You need to cat all gdm log files at once, and then pick them apart yourself (or just store them in one key). I have to think about how to run multiple programs and store their individual outputs in one go. I have an idea, but it will take some more effort to implement. [Bug 719826] [NEW] pc will not boot after update to linux 2.6.38
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I am running Ubuntu 10.10, linux 2.6.37-12 and tonight(2/15/2011) I updated via Update Manager. This update contained the packages to introduce a new linux image 2.6.38. Upon completing the update, I was asked to restart to complete the installation. I restarted. I received a message "mountall: disconnected from Plymouth" and was presented a login prompt. I rebooted, and the same problem occurred. I went to a backup of my syste, from 2/4/2011, restored my system, and then redi all the updates. When I rebooted, the same problem occurred. I restored from backup again, but did not include the seven software packages related to the new kernel. The update was successful. I was able to boot since I was still on 2.6.37-12. When I had the trouble booting into 2.6.38, I tried re-installing all the plymouth packages to no avail. It would seem that I am missing a package in this update. Re: [Bug 673307] Re: libdbi / libdbd-sqlite3 returns incorrect values for several data types
I can confirm this fixes the bug. I upgraded from libdbi0_0.8.3-0ubuntu1 to libdbi0_0.8.3-0ubuntu1.1 on Ubuntu 10.10 i386 and the "make check" script now returns the expected values (i.e. non-zero doubles). Moreover, Gnucash 2.4.2 which now looks the error and had been exiting with a pop-up error message now continues to run and displays non-zero values for its numbers.
