*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 824099 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/824099 I think bug #824099 might be related to framebuffer size (plugging in the extra screen makes the display area bigger) and may well be the same issue as bug #789385, whereas this bug relates to max texture size. [Bug 784985] Re: ACER Easyport IV problems with Meerkat and Natty
Sorry, h0nig, but no. I don't expect anything to happen to resolve this because, as I said previously, it doesn't rate high in the bug priorities list. 10.10 and 11.04 have huge video problems with Nvidia cards (I'm one of those affected) and hundreds have posted but, as yet, no solution. So I don't hold out much hope of a speedy resolution of this problem. I will add that the problems I'm having with Ubuntu are turning me off quickly, but I cannot bring myself to revert to Windows 7 as my main OS. [Bug 849713] [NEW] Login screen and Universal Access problem
Public bug reported: After starting the login screen when a password is required for login, I have chosen the option of Universal Access. Then open a new window (Universal Access) in the middle of the screen. First I check-in first option (Use on-screen keyboard), then there is a new window on the top left of the screen, which I covered previously open window (Universal Access). Then I moved the window (Universal Access) to the right (visible) part of the screen, and check-in option Use screen magnifier, after which the entire right half of the screen become black and completely covered the window (Universal Access). More can never access controls in a hidden window, and I wanted to turn off this option, which I turned back and all the original state. In vain I tried to find a hidden window and return it to the left (visible) side of the screen. I rebooted the computer hoping that everything will be as before, but no, right half of the screen was still black with the options checked in the Universal Acces. After many failed attempts, I succeeded again (blindly) to open the window and check-out options that were checked, so I returned everything to default. I propose the following solution to this problem. Restrict moving window (Universal Access) on the right half of the screen (which is scheduled for screen magnifier). The problem occurs in Ubuntu versions 10.04.3 LTS, 10.10 and 11.04. To me, I would classify this problem in a more serious category. Sorry if I made a mistake somewhere in spelling, because I do not know English well. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/849713 Title: Login screen and Universal Access problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/849713/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 845730] Re: bug patterns need to escape parentheses
Right, all matches in bug patterns are regular expressions, and '(', ')', '+', '?' etc. are magic characters in regexps and thus need to be escaped. [Bug 849224] Re: hvm domU doesn't start (qemu-keymaps can't load)
I installed ubuntu server, and all xen packages,... So this is why i'm a little bit confused. From my point of view, is that when i install all these packages the xen packages should also install dependency packages for his functions. Yes it's correct in qemu-common these keymap files are also included. [Bug 849707] [NEW] Another user attempting to start video chat crashes Pidgin
Public bug reported: A Google Talk contact attempted to initiate a video chat with me; he was using the Google Android client, and I am using Pidgin 2.7.11. Pidgin crashes completely when he does that, no error messages, no warnings, the whole program simply closes.
