[Bug 855800] Re: KVM crashes when attempting to restart migration
That's correct for the testing I have performed. I have been able to perform repeated migrate/migrate_cancel operations much more quickly than I have been able to perform actual migrations, therefore the test set of migrate operations after a cancel is at least an order of magnitude larger than the test set of completing migrations. Background in case it's relevant: I was doing this to test the behaviour if (for example) the target system failed during the migration and it was necessary to cancel and restart, as such resilience is important for the services I maintain. If there's any more information required, I'm happy to provide help :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu-kvm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/855800 Title: KVM crashes when attempting to restart migration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu-kvm/+bug/855800/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 842745] Re: Stacked Monitors: missing screen area when lower (low res) monitor is centered under high-res monitor
Looking at the code, the missing dock (launcher) issue does not look like it is fixed in oneiric either. Both versions of unity for 11.04 and 11.10 appear to use the root mouse pointer location 0 (unity 3) or = 1 (unity 4) to reveal the launcher. However in the case of this bug we need the launcher to reveal itself when x is much larger than 1 because the small screen starts at an x offset much larger than 1. Unity 3: if (root_x_r == 0) self-launcher-EdgeRevealTriggered (); Unity 4: if (pointerX = 1) { if (abs(pointerY-self-_edge_pointerY) = 5) { self-launcher-EdgeRevealTriggered(pointerX, pointerY); } -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/842745 Title: Stacked Monitors: missing screen area when lower (low res) monitor is centered under high-res monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/842745/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 849923] Re: Random missing /dev entries for hard drives / udev problem ?
Dear Mr. Murray, thanks for your answer. But did you read carefully my post ? I have 2 problems that seems possibily related to me : * one action that used to be efficient is not any more, and I cannot understand why a HDD conveniently detected (as /dev/sdd) doesn not have its partition accessible in the same way. I have never see this behavior before, from Ubuntu 6.06 to 10.10, and Debian 3.0 to 6.0. If this way of access is deprecated, it should be completely prevented, not just incompletely. That sounds really weird ; * AND the other problem, with changing /dev/ entries which cause trouble to hddtemp and the udisk probe (letting the Gnome panel temperature applet report incorrect values for HDD). There must be a way to fix these /dev entries, but I'm not enough skilled to find it alone. And one more time, that used to work perfectly in earlier versions of Ubuntu. Now, same actions lead to incorrect results. Thanks for your time help. [Bug 856143] Re: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffffff0081a17028
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to New. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. Thank you for your help, we really do appreciate it. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Tags added: kernel-request-3.0.0-11.18 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/856143 Title: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ff0081a17028 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/856143/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 842456] Re: Alt-F2 Run a command doesn't actually run the command
I've installed Oneiric yesterday, and I too have a problem with Alt+F2 (run a command). What I've noticed is sometimes when I press Alt+F2 and Dash prompt pops up at the top, it says 'Search' in the input textbox, other times it says 'Run a command' (and when this happens it actually runs the command I type in). It seems you can get the 'Run a command' like this: - press Alt+F2 - if the 'Run a command' prompt appears, then everything is fine, just type the command and it will run - if 'Search' appears, click on the 'Search Application' button at the bottom (second button after the 'Home' icon) - press ESC - press Alt+F2 again, now 'Run a command' will appear, type in the command and that's it -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/842456 Title: Alt-F2 Run a command doesn't actually run the command To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/842456/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
