[Bug 835304] Re: contained fontconfig setting files force to make it default font
Scott Moser, Thank you for report it to upstream. But in my opinion, this can be not bug to debian. Ubuntu use language-selector and it link fontconfig files - not in debian - to set default font. The problem is these settings are duplicate to fontconfig files language-selector use. It looks like this is bug to ubntu, but just workaround at debian. How about modify ttf-nanum for only in ubuntu and wait for upstream fontconfig settings ready in debian? I think there's no needed to patch ttf-nanum in debian for now. After I create a bzr branch and commit, I can't find any link for "propose for merging" at lp:ubuntu/ttf-nanum page and that's why I only attach debdiff file. I am wondering some packages need higher permission for proposing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/835304 Title: contained fontconfig setting files force to make it default font To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/835304/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. Phil Doroff, Thank you very much for your investigation to this problem. I have had this issue since 11.04, and now with 11.10 Ubuntu. On both these versions I installed gnome-shell and had no problems with window movement and general animation jitters. I've changed my mousepolling to "10" which has solved this problem. [Bug 874693] Re: Invalid chars 'v' at the end of expression '4mv'
Hmm, can't be "really": paul@stromboli ~ $ grep 4mv /usr/share/winff/presets.xml paul@stromboli ~ $ But I expected this bug to appear. You updated winff from a previous version and winff unfortunately stores a copy of the above mentioned file in ~/.winff/ the first time it runs. So the package is fixed, but winff still uses the old file and the user has to replace (or merge in the case of local changes) the presets.xml file in the package with the presets.xml file in the user folder. When no changes were made locally the procedure is simple (in a terminal window): mv ~/.winff/presets.xml ~/.winff/presets.xml.old You can then start winff again. I propose to make the backup, just in case you discover that you did make relevant changes. Of course you can make rename that file also in you favorite file browser. Unfortunately there is no plain method in packaging land to do such a thing in the package, so the only other option would be to fix winff to do that. Unfortunately, this has not been accomplished by upstream due to complexity to do it programmatic, and due to lack of urgency. It now hits us by an major change of ffmpeg, and has hit us long time in the past when we didn't understand the direction of the solution yet. ** Changed in: winff (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - Invalid chars 'v' at the end of expression '4mv' + ffmpeg complains about invalid parameters while the presets.xml file in the winff package is fixed ** Summary changed: - ffmpeg complains about invalid parameters while the presets.xml file in the winff package is fixed + ~/.winff/presets.xml file is not updated from updated /usr/share/winff/presets.xml file -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/874693 Title: ~/.winff/presets.xml file is not updated from updated /usr/share/winff/presets.xml file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/winff/+bug/874693/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 723861] Re: Right clicking on the desktop still displays the “Create Launcher...” option.
@Sebastian: I guess the reason people are still commenting even getting discouraged all the time is that people are missing the functionality that has been removed without an adequate replacement. [Bug 843431] Re: Logitech camera microphone does not work / makes "chipmunk" sound
Adding patch that fixes the issue. Patch taken from kernel bug #35922 as well as archlinux and redhat who already fixed the issue in their kernels. I added many more affected cameras in the present patch. I hope we see it applied to oneiric kernels soon, otherwise the wikis that report how nicely all these Logitech cameras play with linux should be rewritten because the audio has been terribly broken, while it worked fine with natty. --- drivers/usb/core/quirks.c 2011-10-14 12:48:20.0 -0700 +++ quirks.c2011-10-14 22:31:12.0 -0700 @@ -38,6 +38,33 @@ static const struct usb_device_id usb_qu /* Creative SB Audigy 2 NX */ { USB_DEVICE(0x041e, 0x3020), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + /* Logitech Webcam C600 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x0808), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x0809), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Webcam C210 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x0819), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Webcam C260 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x081a), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Webcam C310 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x081b), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Webcam C910 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x0821), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Webcam C270 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x0825), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x0990), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + + /* Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro */ + { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x09a6), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_RESET_RESUME }, + /* Logitech Harmony 700-series */ { USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0xc122), .driver_info = USB_QUIRK_DELAY_INIT }, -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/843431 Title: Logitech camera microphone does not work / makes "chipmunk" sound To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/843431/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
