Many connection_read(): no connection! warnings are written to /var/log/debug and /var/log/syslog by slapd. As stated at http://www.openldap.org/lists/openldap-software/200811/msg00079.html , this is apparently not a problem with slapd, but a client that is disconnecting without first unbinding. This appears to be an issue with the libldap client library provided by OpenLDAP itself (2.4.21), and not the slapd daemon. Issue is reproducible even by just using ldapsearch -H ldapi:///, but only if a bind DN is specified (-D) and external authentication is not used. Running slapd with logging enabled (-d 8) shows the attached 3 sequences - ldapsearch command followed by the slapd logs. Note that the connection_read(): no connection! is only visible on the middle pair. If this can't / won't be fixed in the client library, the logging of the connection_read(): no connection! event from slapd should at least be demoted to a lower level so that it doesn't fill the default logging output, without having to change the overall configured logging level and potentially missing other logged events that do require attention. Just like the ethernet ones do! Instead, nm-applet appears greyed out. If I, then, click on wireless, my connection automatically starts up. Therefore, the problem seems to be not in the connection, but in the fact that the wireless is disabled. While GIMP will react with drawing a straight line to the edge of the canvas, at least some Krita beta builds crashed due to out-of- range coordinates. Serial Wacom Intuos 2 here, so the report title and Affects is not accurate. This makes successful use of any (?) tablet impossible and turns current Ubuntu into a non-option for everyone relying on working with one. If I move a window with my mouse very fast around on my desktop no screen updates happen. My observation is that compiz has a high cpu usage, please see attached screenshot (compiz high cpu usage). Ok, I followed instructions on wiki and surprisingly under valgrind gedit does not crash. It crashes only in case when I remove 'G_SLICE =always-malloc' from command. Public bug reported: Unfortunately, every once in a while I still need to restart Unity - just now because I played with a setting (Window preview in Launcher) in Compiz and disabled it again. In a situation where all window decorations, the Launcher, the top panel, etc. disappear I need to do unity --reset to get back... It's a bug in the Linux support patch. It byteswaps a 32-bit value as it it's a 64-bit one and so ends up with zeros. Hi, I believe http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~compiz-team/compiz-core/oneiric/view/head:/src/event.cpp#L1023 is probably what you're looking for. That code ungrabs the keyboard if a plugin doesn't explcitly grab the keyboard (eg, using screen-pushGrab ()) while a key event is being handled and the action is dispatched. This means that if you held down the super key, the grab would persist from the time of the super key being pressed, to when the plugin handles the action. Unfortunately that's not a perfect solution to this problem, and I haven't been able to find one. X Grabs are inherently racy, and when we have a keybinding set *only* on the super key, doing a passive grab on the super key also implicitly does a passive grab on every other modifier combination that uses the super key, and that grab remains until it is released. This means that if you were to hit super-space to trigger gnome-do really really quickly before compiz had a chance to dispatch the action and release the grab then that the other application wouldn't get the KeyPress event. The grab is required in order to get the notification that the KeyPress happened on the super key (cannot register for KeyPress events on windows we don't own). In terms of your other solution by not doing anything if another application has a grab, I don't think that will solve this problem. First of all, the key-action requires the passive grab to work (which is what's causing the problem here) and second of all, even if that were the case, there's still a race window where the application registers for the grab and its output buffer hasn't been flushed yet, so you'd get the dash + (whatever). Or worse, there would be unpredictable behaviour depending on which application gets there first. I think that the best solution to this problem is to have a flag in the metadata which says I won't require an active grab, so then you have a reduced amount of time for which the race can happen (since we can release the grab the moment the action gets dispatched).
