Right, that's the thought I had; will add it to a pending language- selector MP. Just wanted to ask first, for the case there was more into it. > Also, Hung says he's running 11.10 but this change in ibus did not take > effect until precise, so has nothing to do with the issue described > here. Instead, the problem appears to be a lubuntu-specific issue where > lubuntu is pulling im-config into its default install instead of im- > switch. Hmm.. I'm still confused, because in that case it shouldn't be possible to install an Oneiric version of ibus (with the im-switch depend), should it? Anyway, I added a lubuntu package to this bug report, to call the lubuntu people's attention to the issue. ** Also affects: lubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/908762 Title: "Keyboard input method system" drop-down list is emtpy (ibus was installed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus/+bug/908762/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 903098] Re: Please merge (sort of) couchdb 1.1.1-1 from Debian testing
After quite a lot of testing, I feel that it's reasonable to push both my proposed couchdb 1.1.1 package and a fixed desktopcouch package out to the Novacut Stable PPA, for both Precise and Oneiric. This should get these proposed changes quite a lot of testing and hopefully help move this forward. In preparation for this, I've first build all these packages in the Novacut Pre-Stable PPA: https://launchpad.net/~novacut/+archive/pre-stable I'd love help testing the upgrade and that desktopcouch indeed works fine after the upgrade. All these packages will be pushed into to the Novacut Stable PPA this Thursday, December 29th. Also, I revised my fix for desktopcouch: https://code.launchpad.net/~jderose/desktopcouch/uri_file- fix/+merge/85431 I sort of forgot that desktopcouch doesn't write a new ~/.config /desktop-couch/desktop-couchdb.ini at each launch, so fixing that config file doesn't work when one already exists. The correct solution was to deliver the config change in: /etc/xdg/desktop-couch/default.ini -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903098 Title: Please merge (sort of) couchdb 1.1.1-1 from Debian testing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/couchdb/+bug/903098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 905701] Re: Applications display on blank white screen when maximized in Unity
This bug appears to have been "fixed" by the installation of nvidia 290.10 driver, in my case by adding ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates to 11.10 sources. [Bug 908937] [NEW] nividia / external monitor / macbook pro
Public bug reported: I have a macbook pro (5.5 I think) and since 10.04 it has been impossible to set external video modes at a higher resolution than 640*480 which is rather annoying and makes using the laptop in linux for presentations a big problem. Anyway I have tried all the usual stuff - trying to force the resolution in xorg.conf, tryng nvidia-settings and trying the nvidia xorg.conf option"useEDID" "FALSE" but nowt seems to work. I am convinced this did used to work (but I can't remember how) - I previously had a separate problem with the screen turning off when mplayer started in magicpoint that could not have occurred at such a limited resolution [I never did get to the bottom of this]. IIRC the useedid false option in xorg.conf used to allow you to set any resolution but no longer. This seems to be a widespread problem for this hardware (which works fine in macosx) I wouldn't know if this is X, nvidia, nvidia-settings or something else that is at fault. lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 11.10 Release:11.10 cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation C79 [GeForce 9400M] [10de:0863] (rev b1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Apple Computer Inc. This can be closed - I found a 3rd party driver left over from a previous install that was screwing up /dev/video0. [Bug 803943] Re: compiz consuming a lot of cpu
Ruben, if ppa:vanvugt/unity fixed your CPU issues then you probably had bug 861061 which could also cause high CPU. If it was ppa:vanvugt/compiz that fixed most of your CPU issues then I am unsure which change is helping you. But I would like to know... If the CPU was high only when moving windows then that is bug 764330 which is fixed in ppa:vanvugt/compiz. Otherwise I'm not sure which change reduced your CPU usage.
