This bug was fixed in the package cups - 1.5.0-16 --- cups (1.5.0-16) unstable; urgency=low [ Till Kamppeter ] * debian/filters/, debian/local/backends/, debian/local/filters/, debian/local/cpdftocps.convs, debian/local/oopstops.convs, debian/local/oopstops.types, debian/local/postscript.ppd, debian/local/pstopdf.convs, debian/local/pstopdf.types, debian/local/text.convs, debian/local/textonly.ppd, debian/cups.install, debian/cups-common.links, debian/cups.links, debian/rules: Removed all add-on filters and backends which now get hosted by OpenPrinting in the OpenPrinting CUPS filters package (Debian package "cups-filters"). Also removed some obsolete or redundant filters/backends/PPDs: mailto, oopstops, dvipipetops, samba-to-ps, postscript.ppd, pdf.ppd. * debian/rules: Removed filters, backends, and MIME conversion rules from upstream CUPS which have now moved to the cups-filters package. * debian/rules: Do not apply the PDF filters add-on package any more as the filters are supplied by cups-filters now. Call aclocal and autoconf explicitly, as the add-on package does not call them for us any more. * debian/control: Let the cups binary package depend on cups-filters, so that the moved filters and backends stay available. * debian/control: Do not build-depend on liblcms1-dev any more. We do not have the PDF filters in this package any more. * debian/control: Do not depend on ttf-freefont any more. * debian/cups.lintian-overrides: Removed entries for serial and parallel backends. * debian/cups.postinst, debian/cups.prerm, debian/cups.templates, Updated debconf for the removal of the parallel and serial backends. * debian/patches/ubuntu/poppler-0.18.patch: Removed, as the CUPS package does not contain the PDF filters any more. [ Martin Pitt ] * debian/rules: Stop setting LC_MESSAGES, this was fixed upstream in the test suite a while ago. * Drop debian/dirs: Unnecessary. * Drop debian/suid: Not used anywhere, and the time when cups shipped suid backends is long gone. * Drop debian/docs: Redundant with debian/cups.docs. * Drop debian/patches/pdftops-testsuite.patch: Not applied, and fixed upstream. * manpage-translations.patch: Update German translations, thanks Helge Kreutzmann. (Closes: #630217) * Add Polish debconf translations, thanks Michał Kułach. (Closes: #657670) * debian/local/apparmor-profile: Allow cups-pdf to read /var/spool/cups. [Bug 921315] Re: lightdm greeter provides no access to pam accounts
No. We are fine with users who have already logged in having their username visible; that's helpful. It's not a lightdm issue, but I'm really quite flabbergasted how even one user shows up in the accounts manager before anyone has logged in, on our configuration. In any case, we like the idea that if a user has logged in on the system they'll be listed in the accounts manager and lightdm won't hide their username. But there must always be an "other accounts" if PAM might let in people that the accounts manager does not know about. I hope I'm really clear with this...this bug is not merely a cosmetic bug. It makes the system completely unusable... ** Changed in: lightdm (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921315 Title: lightdm greeter provides no access to pam accounts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/921315/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 922162] Re: pdf output file is 6 times bigger than if created by simple-scan
As I said, the file size depends heavily on the compression. You are using JPG compression, which is good for photo-type images, but not for scans of text. The image is 8-bit, when 1-bit would have done. You say that you are using thresholding, but the log file doesn't show this. [Bug 923609] [NEW] Sync from other computer doesn't finish loading
Public bug reported: After reinstalling my system I was hoping to get all my applications reinstalled using the software center's sync feature. After choosing the "Sync Between Computers..." option in the file menu I see "This computer (ceo)" and "ceo" in the listing of synced systems. When I click on the "This computer" option I can see the list of installed applications. When I click the other configuration ( from the previous install) the main pane on the right shows the animated spinner indicating the list is loading but it never finishes. I ave tried restarting the app as well as the system to no avail.
