Matters are slightly more complicated because the existing squid packages (both the original squid(v2) and squid3) do not track squid.conf as a conffile, probably because the example configuration is generated at build time. After discussing the matter with several Ubuntu devs, it appears there are two possible solutions: 1. On upgrade, if the user had modified the original squid(2) configuration, raise a debconf dialog box that very loudly warns that the config may not be compatable after upgrade. 2. On upgrade, if the user has modified the original squid(2) configuration, transfer it to the new squid3 location and attempt to start squid3. If the config is compatable (that is, does not contain unsupported config options), squid3 should start successfully. If the user was using squid(2) features that are unsupported in squid3, the proxy will fail to start and cause upgrade errors. 3. Regardless of whether or not previous squid configuration has been modified, use the default squid3 configuration in all cases and start a unconfigured proxy. Perhaps backup the original squid for reference. In either case, matters are complicated by the fact that the example squid.conf shipped with either package is not tracked as a conffile by dpkg (it is generated at build time) To do any conffile handling mentioned above, we'll need to hard-code a list of hash sums in maintainer scripts that cover all previous releases of the squid package, and perhaps maintain this list over time if updates are SRU'd. I solved by from new account using sudo nautilus copynd whole home dir (so all hidden folders for programm configs also are copied) to new location and deleted User and made new user with same name- now it didnt even asked for keyring but its good enough for me- i have no problem changing passw in case someone sees my wifi password. But interesting maybe this will help finding problem root. I installed 10.04.03 with username and latest updating. Then made new user and immidiatly made passw and to not ask for it aand autologin to it. On 1st time connecting to wifi i dont remeber did i made keyring or nonsafe but it was all the time forgeting. I removed keyring folder and that didnt solved. Hi Omer, Please may I have an update on this issue. it is still occurring despite quite a few updates in the last 60 days (this bug has now expired??) I have deleted my zeitgeist database and still happening. When I first log in and open the dash, and type a name of a program, nothing comes up, at all. For about 10 seconds the list is blank, then maybe a file pops up, then after another 5 seconds some songs pop up. I can leave it indefinitely and NO APPLICATIONS will pop up. I have to delete what i have typed and type it again then the dash responds as it should. [Bug 947764] [NEW] hud needs to be activated with double alt due to keyboard layout switch
Public bug reported: when i want to switch to my other keyboard layout(s) - by pressing Alt+Shift - HUD is activated every time.
