[Bug 929054] Re: AltGr key doesn't work properly in xfce4-terminal
As of yesterday (2012-03-07), the situation is as follows: Other layouts which use AltGr combinations work Ok. For example, French, Portuguese,Brazilian,German, Croatian, any US-international layout using AltGr, various UK/GB keyboards and so on. I can install any four of those and switch between them and have them work. However, if the Maori layout is installed with any 1, 2, or 3 of the others, NONE of the layouts work properly with the AltGr key. This is with all the xkb packages reinstalled for 12.04. Earlier, I had tried installing the /usr/share/X11/xkb files with an additional layout for Hawaiian in the rules/evdev.xml and symbols/us files. This layout differs from the Maori layout only by the addition of an ´okina (glottal stop) character on the single/double quote key of the US layout. That worked well. David, thanks for taking the initiative to build the Live CD. It proves the old adage, "necessity is the mother of invention". If you were able to follow it without prior experience and were able to get it to work, imagine what someone who had experience in building it could achieve. I guess it begs the question, how much of an inconvenience would it be for the Ubuntu team to build two versions of the i386 CD (pae and non- pae), and have both available for download from the Ubuntu daily build download page. [Bug 946589] Re: Xorg crashes in Precise with Dual Screens
The idea is to try the mainline kernel to see if the bug is fixed there. If it is, then yay! We can try and find out precisely what the fix was, and apply it to the Precise kernel. If it's not fixed in the mainline kernel, then we need to (a) tell upstream that it's broken, and (b) help fix & test any solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/946589 Title: Xorg crashes in Precise with Dual Screens To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/946589/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

"patrick@patrick-HP-Pavilion-dv6700-Notebook-PC:~$ 'apt-cache policy pkgname' apt-cache policy pkgname: command not found" I'm not sure if this is a bug. I'm new to Ubuntu and am a little lost. [Bug 903558] Re: Unable to boot 12.04 without 'noapic' flag enabled in GRUB
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. You can update to the latest development kernel by simply running the following commands in a terminal window: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. If you want this bot to quit automatically requesting kernel tests, add a tag named: bot-stop-nagging. Thank you for your help, we really do appreciate it. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Tags added: kernel-request-3.2.0-18.28 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903558 Title: Unable to boot 12.04 without 'noapic' flag enabled in GRUB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/903558/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 941695] Re: Broadcom BCM4313 random AP disconnects and network hang
I'm not sure if this will help with this issue but I came across this: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=787649 which is the exact same issue I'm having. There is a patch but nobody can confirm it has been fixed. I've also had a go myself but it was a real pain to find a working wireless stack that compiles and loads correctly. I'm not even sure if I can add the patch from that bug report here? Is that the done thing? Seems dead on the upstream front, I guess I'm one of very very few people this happens to. ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #787649 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=787649 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/941695 Title: Broadcom BCM4313 random AP disconnects and network hang To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/941695/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
