[Bug 929139] Re: Cannot restore backup from NAS using Deja Dup
Hello! Sorry for not being involved in this thread earlier. I bet I know what's going on. It's because it's running duplicity as root, and root doesn't have easy access to your nautilus mount. Giving it a little thought, unless you've other plans, it seems that the unity-2d session should show Ubuntu-2d on the panel. [Bug 957602] [NEW] cryptsetup: evms_activate is not available
Public bug reported: Fully encrypt system, with raid0 on 2 drives. Upgraded to beta 12.04 from update-manager -d, failed to boot. Verified that the kernel had correct crypted drive UUID's in conf.d by comparing to a back up of the boot partition from before the upgrade. Temporarily fixed by copying the initrd.img-3.0.0-16-generic from the backup and using that to boot instead of initrd.img-3.2.0-18-generic supplied by the upgrade. Re- installing the new kernel through synaptic package manager in hopes it would auto-generate the right settings did not fix this issue. From a previous ticket I researched prior to successfully booting (I don't know the ticket number because I was in the live-cd at the time), cryptsetup might not be the root cause, just the first error to display in the splash screen. (So this might be a dupe of a previously known issue, thought I should report since it still exits) The above is pretty much the limit of my technical knowledge, so if you want further information please let me know what to run to get it for you. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/957602 Title: cryptsetup: evms_activate is not available To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/957602/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 957508] Re: Brasero v 3.3.91 suddenly reports as being a broken package in Ubuntu 12.04
Seem to have been able to change the line 21614 in the file /var/lib/dpkg/status "libgstrmam**.10-0" to libgstreamer0.10-0 using komodo text editor and save it as such being careful to allow it to update as it is an open file in the package system. Now I no longer have the broken package "brasero" however I have a new error which I will probably move to a new bug report- E: /var/cache/apt/archives/gnome-control- center_1%3a3.3.91-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb: subprocess dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile returned error exit status 2 I appear to have fixed this bug and this new bug seems to be completely unrelated. We really need to have some sort of system that prevents these massive interdependencies from having one single character threaten the entire system-- it is not a self healing and functional way to go- it makes Linux very difficult to justify using in high activity corporate environments. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/957508 Title: Brasero v 3.3.91 suddenly reports as being a broken package in Ubuntu 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/957508/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: I have tried importing from CD a few multi-CD sets where there is more than one CD for each album. It appears that Rhythmbox only identified the first CD correctly, and misidentifies the second (and potentially other) CD as the first appears. I.e. the second CD has the same track listing as the first, which is clearly incorrect by checking the back of the box. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Start Rhythmbox 2) Insert first disc of multidisc set 3) Verify that the tracklisting is correct 4) Replace first disc with second disc 5) Notice that the track listing is identical to the first disc's listing (i.e. incorrect) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: rhythmbox 2.96-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-18.29-generic 3.2.9 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-18-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx ApportVersion: 1.94.1-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Mar 17 00:35:10 2012 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/rhythmbox InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Beta amd64 (20120301) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: rhythmbox UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-03-12 (4 days ago) ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug apport-lpi precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/957577 Title: Rhythmbox identifies second CD in 2-CD set as identical to the first To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/957577/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 957573] [NEW] Bootup splash screen stalls and displays strange colors upon bootup
Public bug reported: This is a very strange one. Occasionally when I boot up my laptop (ASUS N53), just after selecting my OS in GRUB, the screen will display strange colors - almost like I've broken my LCD - and then displays a black screen with a single purple vertical bar and doesn't continue to LightDM. The only way to resolve it is by SysRq REISUB-ing. The next time I boot it will *always* boot up perfectly. It's only every 5-10 boots that it does this. [Bug 952574] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 beta 1 won't boot off USB key with NVidia GTX 560
The reason it says your driver is VESA and your resolutions are capped to 1280 is because you're running the -vesa video driver. It doesn't do RANDR either, so that likely is why you see only one monitor enabled. It may be running -vesa because of nomodeset being specified. So really the question is why is it not loading -nouveau. ** Package changed: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) => xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/952574 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 beta 1 won't boot off USB key with NVidia GTX 560 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/952574/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 943643] Re: Fonts are blurry after the installation of Nvidia driver using jockey
Sounds roughly similar to bug #940742. I'm a bit confused by your last two comments. In #2 you said you changed the mode frequency to Auto in xorg.conf, then in #3 you have to change it from Auto to 60Hz. Couldn't you just set it to 60Hz in your xorg.conf directly?
