[Bug 982771] Re: Scrolling stops working in GTK3 scrolled windows after some time
I'm in the same boat as palimmo. I've been using the /bin directory as my standard test, and 0ubuntu5.1 hasn't frozen yet (after about ten minutes testing), though the bar does seem to "stick" sometimes when I flick my fingers and let the scrolling coast. This might be a CPU issue (I'm on integrated graphics, so no appreciable acceleration), but I don't remember it doing that in 0ubuntu5--maybe this is a side-effect of the fix? [Bug 987807] Re: Possible kernel or udev sending too many events with upowerd, and this is resulting cpu usage increasing
I done the latest 3.4 upstream kernel testing, unfortunately this bug existing with upstream kernel. What the next testing step? Load average is very high when the battery present my machine, cpu usage higher with 50%. Only opened a terminal window, running the top process and Orca Screen Reader to I hear the results. Login operation happening about 19 second later when I press ENTER key after I typed my password, without battery this is maximum 4 second. Prewious founded sudo killall upowerd suggestion not help, because upowerd process started again. Unable to remove this package, because depending too many system components. I tryed remove the indicator-power package, but this is not help. If anybody known a good workaround until this bug is not fixed, I welcome trying, because I need very often my netbook using with battery when I travelling. Testing purpose battery replacement unfortunately impossible, because I haven't got a second battery. [Bug 986269] Re: Unable to open a folder for 10 GB Filesystem", "No application is registered as handling this file... Nautilus pops browser on bash partition mount
I think this is a Unity action, not Nautilus ** Package changed: nautilus (Ubuntu) => unity ** Summary changed: - Unable to open a folder for 10 GB Filesystem", "No application is registered as handling this file... Nautilus pops browser on bash partition mount + Unable to open a folder for 10 GB Filesystem", "No application is registered as handling this file... or Nautilus pops browser when partition is mounted in bash script ** Description changed: I first noticed this behaviour in Ubuntu 11.10. When I run my bash script that mounts partitions on my hard drive (e.g /dev/sda5), Nautilus pops up with a browser window. This is an illogical action, since I've not 'inserted a drive', it's already there, and it's just been manually mounted. This Nautilus action will interfere with the scripts operation since, when the script tries to unmount the drive (rapidly) it finds that Nautilus is still busy with it, producing it's browser window. If I run chmod 700 on the mountpoint prior to mounting (root only access), then I get a popup message stating: "Unable to open a folder for 10 GB Filesystem", "No application is registered as handling this file". This is because the mountpoint is not accessible to the logged in user. You wouldn't expect this if you mount a partition from the terminal - and for the most part this is correct (Nautilus does nothing), but not all the time. I've managed to trigger Nautilus to pop just with a simple terminal mount. I have a workaround in my bash script that creates a udev rule and runs udevadm trigger to hide the partition, but this seems extreme. I believe - it's a bug in Nautilus in how it responds to the signal that a partition - has been mounted. + it's a bug in Unity(?) (maybe Nautilus?) in how it responds to the + signal that a partition has been mounted. Please see this for complete details and discussion of possible solutions (and the bash script code): http://askubuntu.com/questions/121569/prevent-nautilus-showing- partition-mounted-in-bash-script I understand you can prevent Nautilus responding to inserted drives etc., but this is definitely not the case here - the drive is already there, just the partition is being mounted. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986269 Title: Unable to open a folder for 10 GB Filesystem", "No application is registered as handling this file... or Nautilus pops browser when partition is mounted in bash script To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/986269/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 988177] [NEW] the Mantis package links to an outdated nusoap lib that breaks the soap api
Public bug reported: Upgrading to the latest 1.2.10-1 package, it seems it now links to the libnusoap-php which is 0.7.3 version. I suppose that previously, the package used its own nusoap lib that was newer since the timstamp formatting in the Mantis soap API has changed. It now uses an old formatting that (although legal) breaks Mantis soap clients like Mantis Mylyn connector. Upgrading the libnusoap-php to 0.9.5 using the experimental package solves the problem by reverting back the format to the newest one. [Bug 767975] Re: Video does not return after sleep with AMD E-350 Fusion APU and ATI closed driver (Natty Narwal Beta)
Correction - Now I've been able to resume from "deep sleep" a few times, and I've had a hang on resume when resuming from a "light" suspend. The only difference is that when it hangs after a "deep sleep", I need to take the battery out to be able to use the netbook again, as it will stay in the hang (wifi and on led on) when I power it on otherwise.
