Public bug reported: I have this notebook SONY VAIO YB3V1E/S with AMD E-450 I am running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Lubuntu) When I first login, I can use the fn+ audio keys on the notebook to adjust the volume and mute/umute the audio. I get the small visual feedback window and the audio feedback as well. But if I use the fn + brightness keys to adjust the brightness, then the fn+ audio keys stop working. The brightness keys continue to work. Public bug reported: I'm a longtime ubuntu user finally driven to KDE by Unity. I'm slowly finding my feet and am quite excited about the Activities feature of KDE. I understand I ought to be able to name activities and set other features of them in the desktop settings screen under activities but my Desktop Settings screen is actually quite bare, showing only view and mouse. I installed kubuntu using apt-get install kubuntu- desktop but I suspect I'm missing some packages or something. Appreciate any help. From what I see, disabling mouse integration in VirtualBox makes the autoreveal work again. My impresión is that VirtualBox stops sending mouse events to the host system as soon as the mouse cursor hits the border, and that breaks the preasure effect. With mouse integration disabled, all mouse events go to the virtual machine anyway, so autoreveal works. Public bug reported: After installing Ubuntu 12.04 on my desktop PC and installing proprietary graphic card drivers and rebooting ubuntu fails to boot up and switches between black screen and flashes of desktop without unity menu. I am currently running on PC Nvidia Geforce 7100 Graphics card. Have tried fresh install several times but just does not work. I also have two laptops. One which I installed 12.04 Beta 2 on a month ago and kept it updated and it has kept running ever since with no issues. The other laptop has 12.04 LTS installed and it has a issue on startup sends a message through apport but does go and has no other issues. Obviously the issue is with the desktop pc. I do note this bug has been around for a while now but has not been addressed. Is it likely to be addressed. I don't know how all the desktop parts work together. However, it is a waste of resources to let your computer run only because for example you need to access it remotely in a couple of hours/days/month, or have it do some task. And I see many user that keep their machines running, just because they do not see a way to schedule it. This is just one config value (autologin user). If that's all that's envisioned, I'm not sure it's worth having a special config file. But if you plan to add more display manager settings to accountsservice, maybe it starts to make sense.
