[Bug 950713] Re: Brother printer fails to print anything but a blank page
Michael, if I understand you right you have some other issue, some kind of pdf's are not properly handled. What is discussed here is the broken postscript code that makes Brother printers to fail completely. Did I understand you right? I installed the release version of Xubuntu 12.04 and printing on my Brother DCP-7045N is working fine. Before I was testing Linux Mint Debian Edition (which is based on Debian testing) and had the problem which is described here. What I must say here: the Ubuntu developers are making a good job! The printer installation procedure is much easier than under native Debian. My Brother network printer was completely automatically recognized, even manufacturer and model was detected automatically. Under Debian I had to select manufacturer and model manually. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950713 Title: Brother printer fails to print anything but a blank page To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups-filters/+bug/950713/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 993051] [NEW] totem sound cuts out predictably on repeat
Public bug reported: Expected behavior: When totem is set to repeat indefinitely, the file should play continuously until a new file is opened in totem or totem is closed or paused. (This is the behavior in Oneiric.) Actual behavior (Precise): The audio file plays normally on the first playthrough. On the second playthrough, the sound cuts out at 12 seconds in. (To test, I used elf-land.ogg and legends_of_the_north.ogg from wesnoth). The audio file appears to continue playing, but no sound eminates. If you pause, the song jumps to the end. If you unpause at this point, the song appears to jump back to the point at which it was stopped, but there is still no audio output. If you seek at this point, the song cuts out 12 seconds after the point at which playback was started (so if you start at 0:28, the music will cut out at 0:40). I have also observed the sound restarting for no reason. I also receive the following error message in console: (totem:4869): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: Read/writable property 'object' on class 'ZeitgeistDpPlugin' has type 'TotemObject' which is not exactly equal to the type 'GObject' of the property on the interface 'PeasActivatable' This appears to be confined to totem. Running mplayer -loop 0 does not create any discernable playback problems, including the issue described above.
[Bug 983884] Re: wrong help text
Just an addition to my reports so far: Christopher indicated a potential error with respect to the German translation. I assume he pointed to the help text translations, which would not be the crucial point though: From his comment I would expect the "RADIANS" to be a correct invocation of an existing function, which at least in the German version of LO it is not. Instead the "RAD" is, which I found out only by experimental computer science. :-) So, for my part, I doubt, whether: # The correct function should indeed be RAD, and the help documentation adapted accordingly, or # the correct function should be RADIANS. in that case the LO code would have to be adapted in the German version. [Bug 510059] Re: Gvfs keeps asking for password when trying to mount Samba share
Medium is not high enough priority for this bug. If the solution in #29 works for everybody, can't it be fixed downstream by adjusting the default settings for smb.conf? It's great that there's a fix, but asking users in a remote location to modify this setting on each one of their machines is obviously not ideal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/510059 Title: Gvfs keeps asking for password when trying to mount Samba share To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gvfs/+bug/510059/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
