Not sure if that's a related problem (can't really afford reading all 276 comments). My Ubuntu 12.04 also freezes (completely, the cursor doesn't move). It only happens when running the system on battery. Always within several minutes from booting/switching of the AC adapter. On AC, it works just fine for days, without any freezes. [Bug 952744] Re: gcalctool crashed with signal 5 in g_simple_async_result_complete() (corrupted ecb datas on download issues?)
This happened to me when switching quickly to the 'Financial' mode and then to the 'Basic' mode. Same here, nvidia card+nouveau driver. I can reproduce the error with: xrandr --output VGA-1 --above LVDS-1 most other xrandr commands work. [Bug 1009835] [NEW] Right mouse button no longer works in Firefox. Still works elsewhere.
Public bug reported: What I expected to happen: Today I installed all the suggested and recommended updates for Ubuntu, as I always do when updates pop up. After the updates, while still logged into Firefox, my right mouse button worked fine! But I did get the notice on each open Firefox tab that my browser needed to be restarted to complet updates. So I closed out of Firefox. When I reopened it, I went about my usual activities expecting full function of mouse and keyboard in Firefox as I have always enjoyed. What did happen: First activity after opening Firefox was to check email. I logged into Google. On my first 'reply' email, I went to "Select All" which is usually available on a drop-down menu I receive when right clicking within the field. This time no menu. I instead highlited the entire text myself then used the keyboard to delete it. Similarly, when I wanted to copy text and use on Facebook, I had to highlight it on one tab holding down left mouse and using Ctrl+C, then pasted it into Facebook using Ctrl+V. When I wanted to save a pic to my harddrive, I again went to right click to first isolate the image on its own but again, no drop-down menu when I right clicked. I tried looking on forums about right mouse not working on updated Firefox and found only older posts that didn't apply. I've logged on and off Firefox a few times and problem still exists. [Bug 197957] Re: Include a libasound2-plugins-extra package for a52, maemo
Mike, ac3_fixed is just the fixed point implementation within libavcodec. 'avconv -formats E' will show the list of current codecs with encoder support. You'll see it is there, but I am guessing this is accidental since it is being built implicitly based on the parameters to configure in debian/confflags in the debianized libav source package. If you look carefully through it, you'll see that other non-free formats are explicitly disabled. So what probably happened is whoever wrote the confflags for debian/rules probably forgot to handle the situation for ac3 when the package was refactored since it wasn't enabled last I checked. By the way, AC-3 = A52 = DD. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197957 Title: Include a libasound2-plugins-extra package for a52, maemo To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-plugins/+bug/197957/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1009816] Re: Firefox comes to front when opening link via external program.
@Evan, What I'm saying is I want Firefox to act like it did before the upgrade in regards to focus policy. The way it was before is that Firefox would only come to the front if there were not already and instance running. People often will go through their emails and/or RSS feeds clicking links, but not wish to go see or go to them until they are finished with all the emails/feeds. Firefox 13 should, as it did before, remain in the background when it opens a new tab if that is my wish. Firefox needs honor the users settings/wishes as far as focus goes. I tested this on my laptop, which still had FF 12.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1. I upgraded Firefox and only Firefox. Before the upgrade, Firefox remained in the background when I clicked on a link from an email. After the upgrade, Firefox no longer remained in the background when I clicked on a link from an email. A major operational feature is no longer performing the way it did prior to the upgrade. This is a bug, not a feature request. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1009816 Title: Firefox comes to front when opening link via external program. There are muliple RC6 modes. From "modinfo i915": + | parm: i915_enable_rc6:Enable power-saving render C-state 6.
