Having tried the installation with Synaptic, directly with apt-get, and
also with dpkg under three different identical computers and distro
levels. The Same Error occurs at the end of the installation process.
Uninstall breaks the system and the package must be removed manually.

my theory of how this happened was that there was already a trigger in
/var/lib/dpkg/triggers/File for '/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules
libgtk2.0-0' before the upgrade to quantal dpkg, then after upgrade
libgtk2.0-0 was installed, resulting in the addition of a trigger for '
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules libgtk2.0-0:amd64'.  However, the
attached apt term log does not support this; it shows no upgrades of
libgtk2.0-0 after dpkg is upgraded.  So I don't understand how the dpkg
database got into this state.

I was installing RVM using the tutorial at http://www.the-tech-
tutorial.com/?p=1868 . By accident halfway through I started to install
the RVM package by Ubuntu. It saw I had an installation already and I
told it to to keep the scripts and so on in place. Then it jammed. RVM
not work anymore either as there is a PATH issue now.

[Bug 1017051] [NEW] Unable to re-enable wireless after disabling via nm-applet

With network-manager 0.9.4.0 and network-manager-gnome 0.9.4.1, if I
disable wireless by right-clicking on the applet and unchecking "Enable
Wireless", then the menu item is greyed out and cannot be re-enabled.

It appears that when disabling, the rfkill soft block is set on the
wireless device. NM then reports the device as hardware disabled (when
in fact it is only soft-disabled), causing the menu item to be disabled.

If one manually removes the soft block using `rfkill unblock `, then
it is possible to re-enable wireless from the applet.

The applet should instead show enable the menu option when the device is
only soft-blocked, and remove the soft block when the enable option is
selected.

Even in virtual console it freezes.

Steps I performed.

1) Login to my desktop session
2) Run command "pgrep Xorg" to get the pid. Lets say 1122
3) Then I pressed "control-alt-f2" to go to virtual console.
4) Run command "pgrep Xorg" to get the pid and it was same i.e 1122
5) Run command "sudo gdb /usr/bin/Xorg 2>&1 | tee gdb-Xorg.txt"
6) Inside gdb console I ran "attach 1122"

On step it showed it showed some output

Sorry, you are correct the system was not upgraded.  It is a fresh 
install of 12.04.

I only used the word "upgrade" because yesterday, I was running 11.10 
and decided to move to 12.04, though I did so via a fresh install.

As for bug #872701, I clicked-typed my password in as if I were shown a Azerty 
layout (the default French keyboard layout), but it still didn't work.
I have indeed version 3.4.2-0ubuntu0.3 of libgtk-3-0.
Onboard does show the correct Bépo layout.
I barely have other problems with my keyboard layout (except in certain 
closed-source video games).

I just made an additional test: in fact Onboard does not work at all here.
It does show the right layout, but when I click "bépo", I get "qwer". This is 
not only for the lock-screen but everywhere. I changed the bug title 
accordingly.
