[Bug 1081600] [NEW] libnfnetlink needs autoconf update for arm64 building

[Bug 1081517] [NEW] i386 libpq5 conflict on amd64
Public bug reported: On amd64 certain 32 bit applications need 32 bit ODBC. An example is wine. Currently odbc-postgresql:i386 depends on libpq5:i386. However, other 64bit packages depend on libpq5 (amd64) like pgadmin, libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql. Both can't be installed at the same time. [Bug 1081615] [NEW] Bibletime crashes immediately with output Segmentation Fault (core dumped)
Public bug reported: I'm using Kubuntu 12.10. The app, Bibletime crashes immediately, without showing giving any feedback as to why. When you run it in the console, it simply says, Segmentation Fault (core dumped). However, I suspect that it is a packaging issue, because I had previously tried to install the version in the quantal repository (2.9.1-2) back when I was still running Precise (12.04). And, at the time, when I added the crosswire PPA, it said: The following packages have unmet dependencies: bibletime : Depends: libsword8 (= 1.6.2+dfsg) but it is not installable Depends: bibletime-data (= 2.9.1-0ubuntu0~r70~precise1) but 2.9.1-1~ppa2~precise is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. [Bug 1081518] Re: Chromium-browser package is outdated and poses a security risk
I'm aware of the third party PPA workaround, but: a) I'm not really sure it can be trusted (I don't know Alex Shkop, sorry) b) I'm certain most people install Chromium from Canonical's repositories rather than PPA (Official or non-official). These people browse the Web with browsers that have known security vulnerabilities. I believe the best way would be to treat chromium-browser updates as security updates (which they are), and push them to LTS releases, just like FireFox. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1081518 Title: Chromium-browser package is outdated and poses a security risk To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1081518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1081518] Re: Chromium-browser package is outdated and poses a security risk
The PPA, as I stated is being re-started by a Canonical guy. It will hopefully be all up and running by the end of this month. Chromium updates already have an exception to allow them to be back ported. The issue is that there was no one doing the 'official' updates. This is going to be resolved. I do know Alex, and he did offer to assist in the updating of Chromium. There was talk of using the script he uses, but the task has been allocated to the Canonical guy. As it also states in the link, it is in 'workaround' for that reason and will be marked as no longer used when there is an 'official' update route. Until then, to get updates that ppa can be used, else people will be running an old version of Chromium.

[Bug 1081631] [NEW] GNOME-Keyring endlessly prompts for password after I buy something from USC
Public bug reported: A MAJOR problem with Ubuntu is the endless prompts that GNOME-keyring gives the user if the user creates an account (e.g., buys something, registers to write reviews in USC, etc) in Ubuntu Software Center. Once user creates an account in USC for whatever reason, the user will be CONSTANTLY harrassed with prompts from the GNOME-keyring to login whenever user is using Ubuntu. This is so annoying! It is so annoying I had to resort to reinstalling the OS to get it to stop. Unfortunately, this means to keep the prompts from reappearing, I am unable to login or create any account in USC. This also means I cannot purchase software from USC because then the prompts will start again. So that users can buy software in USC , please fix the GNOME-keyring so it doesn't needlessly prompt for password. If the user needs to login for something, it should be a user initiated action. That is the user is going to do something that requires a login, so the user manually logs in. There should be no background stuff happening that causes the keyring to put up a prompt. I do not have UbuntuOne active or anything like that. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for the keyring to be prompting to be unlocked. This is a MAJOR bug. I've attached a PNG showing what the prompt looks like. ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: Endlessly Occuring Prompt.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1081631/+attachment/3440295/+files/Endlessly%20Occuring%20Prompt.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1081631 Title: GNOME-Keyring endlessly prompts for password after I buy something from USC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1081631/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
