[Bug 1175093] Re: K3520-Z mode not switched automatically
I had decided that the next thing to do was to try to get debug output from usb_modeswitch. In my efforts to find out how to do this I came across http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/#trouble which includes a couple of notes about devices with ID 19d2:2000. The K3520-Z is one such device. One of the notes is to the effect that newer kernels attempt to switch the mode of some devices and get it wrong for ID 19d2:2000, thereby messing things up for usb_modeswitch. I've no idea whether that is what is happening to me (if it is, then this is a kernel problem), but the revelation that the kernel switches the mode of some devices probably explains why my K3770 switches mode without usb_modeswitch getting involved. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175093 Title: K3520-Z mode not switched automatically To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1175093/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1173611] Re: Software center's category menu is unreadable with GTK 3.8
It appears here that GtkLabel is not getting the correct calculated height when text wrapping is enabled. Probably this is a gtk bug, however I cannot reproduce it with gtk git master (I also can't find any commits that look like they would resolve the issue). [Bug 1175897] Re: PPTP VPN Service failed to start after upgrade to 13.04
I just got this working on my system. I have ubuntu 13.04 in a vm running on a windows host using virtualbox. I randomly changed the networking this morning from a NATed interface to a bridged interface and I changed the emulated network device from the Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop to the PCnet-FAST III adapter. And tonight I connected with my pptp vpn in the ubuntu vm no problem. I am not sure if one or both of the changes fixed it, but it seems to be working away just fine for the last severl hours and I have even been able to disconnect and reconnect several times. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175897 Title: PPTP VPN Service failed to start after upgrade to 13.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1175897/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1170183] Re: can not boot up in uefi secure boot mode unbuntu 13.04, can run in a live from cd uefi secure mode. will boot non secure boot mode
I too wound up with \EFI\ubuntu\grubx64.efi as a uefi boot entry on a machine which had always had secure boot enabled. This was caused by an earlier grub-install which left a corrupt /EFI/ubuntu directory, which gave an IO error on any attempted access. After fixing the corrupted directory, rerunning grub-install --uefi-secure-boot added a new, correct ubuntu/shimx63.efi entry. Looks like the error checking on grub-install might need a little improvement -- looks like a check for shim failed, but only because the directory itself was unreadable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1170183 Title: can not boot up in uefi secure boot mode unbuntu 13.04, can run in a live from cd uefi secure mode. will boot non secure boot mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1170183/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1178506] [NEW] Cannot switch between juju-0.7 and juju-core
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hi, We're in the process of installing and testing the Go ported version of Juju. It is currently installed on a server alongside the Python version (juju-0.7). We have services already deployed using the Python version so we need to make that the default while we test, and eventually transition across to the Go version. As per the docs, https://juju.ubuntu.com/get-started/, it seems to indicate that we can use the following command to make 0.7 the default: $ sudo update-alternatives --set juju /usr/lib/juju-0.7/bin/juju Unfortunately, juju-core stomps on /usr/bin/juju and setting the alternative wipes out the Go version's binary. Hi Robert, That's interesting. It does work on mine Raring (both of them); but I _do_ have libcap2 installed.
