[Bug 1188216] [NEW] [MIR] gtester2xunit

[Bug 1187345] Re: package grub-efi-amd64 2.00-13ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück
Dear Phillip Susi After an automatic update i restarted my laptop, which is now unable to boot: Error message: error: file '/boot/grub/i386/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found grubrescue> I tried to run the boot repair disk, but without success. boot repair detects EFI, and asks me to change to EFI boot, but unfortunately I can't boot from a CD when starting in EFI mode. I therefore have to switch to "legacy mode", which seems to be an additional DELL option, which allows me to start from CD/DVD. Although EFI mode is still enabled in the BIOS settings, the laptop starts in 'legacy mode'. same Error as described above after boot repair. When disabling 'legacy mode', the laptop tries to boot from remote (IPV6), which is one of the boot options available in UEFI - I guess it does so, since it can't find a default boot mode on harddisk. ** boot repair disk copies a log file to: http://paste.ubuntu.com/5738801 ** These are the contents of /usr/lib/grub directory: mylubuntu@lubuntu:/usr/lib/grub$ pwd /usr/lib/grub lubuntu@lubuntu:/usr/lib/grub$ ls grub-mkconfig_lib i386-pc ** Would be great if you could give me any advice how to restore the system (bootloader). thank you for your advice, gerald -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1187345 Title: package grub-efi-amd64 2.00-13ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1187345/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can understand the issue. And I've verified that grep still works in the same way in its 2.14 version. [Bug 1188197] [NEW] Xorg freeze on Toshiba Tecra M9 after upgrade to 12.04 during any ACPI opertions - plugging power
Public bug reported: Hi This laptop was happily running 11.10 release but started to have problem since upgrade to 12.04. I have tried bot 32 and 64 release of both 12.04 and 13.04 - both behave the same: any ACPI related operation hangs system. Those operations include: plugging in / removing power supply (every time) switching of display (after screen inactivity) While booting with “acpi=off” none of mentioned operations hang computer. While PC is in this “hang” state, you can move mouse, but can not click / select anything. Keyboard also doesn't work, so you can not switch to TTY console or send REISUB Luckily I have tried nightly builds 3.10.0-999-generic kernel and it works fine with it. So this ticket is just to acknowledge this problem and hopefully help any other Linux users who tried to install Ubuntu on Toshiba Tecra M9. [Bug 1107642] Re: Plymouth partly working on imac 12, 1 with different results on 32bit and 64bit kernel
Hello Chris, so the latest kernel which is now in stable contains the patches and it does not crash the kernel anymore but i still have issues with a black screen when plymouth is starting. I now have found this patch and i applied it to current quantal-git and fixes the issue. http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/ubuntu- raring.git;a=commitdiff;h=d1f9809ed1315c4cdc5760cf2f59626fd3276952;hp=a10fbb4224e53c6b3528d671051be4b98bd8e9b9 Now plymouth works without issues and so is X. Can this patch be applied to current quantal so the imac 12,1 works ok on i386 kernel? [Bug 828756] Re: getting "connection is untrusted" warnings
I might have a clue. The bug appeared right after I added 'empathy -h' to auto-start applications, and it manifests on every cold (reboot) or warm start (after hibernating).
