[Bug 1089342] Re: Postfix uses temporary IPv6 address for outbound connections
Updated the description with link to the possible page of concern. The serverguide for saucy doesn't have postfix.page. Has it been dropped deliberately? ** Also affects: serverguide Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: + Refer to https://help.ubuntu.com/13.04/serverguide/postfix.html + By default IPv6 privacy extensions is installed on Ubuntu server and temporary addresses are preferred. This means that outgoing connections from Postfix will use the temporary IPv6 addresses, which will likely fail reverse DNS checks and cause mail to bounce. Postfix should implement the requirements of RFC5014 and ensure that it sets the IPV6_PREFER_SRC_PUBLIC IPv6 socket option (or possibly provide a configuration option to enforce that requirement). [Bug 1189083] [NEW] Make Preferences button work in IBus Preferences
Public bug reported: This bug is specific to Raring as we can introduce newer upstream version in Saucy. The fix is simple, backport a patch from upstream https://github.com/bochecha/ibus-cangjie/commit/a85d297bb395f38c4ec5022acc6d641a695b4ab4.patch It adds setup tags to the XML files so ibus-setup can find them. ** Affects: ibus-cangjie (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: patch raring -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1189083 Title: Make Preferences button work in IBus Preferences To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus-cangjie/+bug/1189083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1158161] Re: [regression] Unmaximized windows can't be closed, minimized, moved
This bug is about unmaximized windows having click-trough decorations. If you really see click-trough decorations on unmaximized or user- maximized windows, this bug is not fixed. I have personally tested this with both trunk and raring version of compiz and this bug does not exist there, with or without Unity. Now, then there's bug 1158267. If the following points apply, that's the bug you're seeing: 1) You use a non-Unity session 2) The application with click-trough decorations is _started_ maximized (started is is the important part here) That's a corner case with a fix available in lp:~mar-kolya/compiz/fix- for-1158267. However, that fix is currently blocked on lack of proper test suite for the decor plugin. Once the decor has a test suite in place (bug 1188900), we can be more certain that the fix doesn't cause new regressions and it's ready to go in. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158161 Title: [regression] Unmaximized windows can't be closed, minimized, moved To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1158161/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1125944] Re: (gedit:3366): IBUS-WARNING **: The owner of /home/oem/.config/ibus/bus is not root!
The reason for this bug is that when you start gedit or so IM module from IBus got loaded. As you do sudo, the user of IM module would be root. However, the ibus-daemon is started by the normal user in most cases, which would create ~/.config/ibus/bus if it doesn't exists. IIRC, this is the limitation of current D-Bus technology that two processes having different user (uid) cannot communicate. [Bug 982889] Re: X trying to start before plymouth has finished using the drm driver
Either this fix isn't complete or I have a similar problem. On my fast hardware (a Clevo W370ET with SSD and a quad core i7) I observe the same effects. Even after updating to latest versions I get the fault. I'm running raring (XUbuntu 13.04). I observe at 50% of booting a black screen with a blinking cursor and a mousepointer. I can switch to a terminal console and by entering the command sudo service lightdm restart I get a running graphical session. Also the workaround at comment #5, inserting a sleep 1 in lightdm.conf does help. But I doesn't like the idea of solving a race condition by inserting some sleep. Now I have like 3 sound card Intel Ivy bridge embedded, Creative X-Fi USB, not to mention soundcard over HDMI/Display Port. When I turn my thinkpad the sound comes from X-Fi, but the volume control is still on Intel card ! It works this way since I remember. I would help in developing, just need the clue where to start :-) Thanks. [Bug 875441] Re: ZTE MF190, try to connect on bad ttyUSB2 (ubuntu 11.04 11.10 12.04)
I've got the same problem with ZTE MF636 - modem manager uses ttyUSB2, while it should be ttyUSB3. I think I found a little simpler solution to this problem, just added one line to /lib/udev/rules.d/77-mm-zte-port-types.rules: ATTRS{idProduct}==0033, ENV{.MM_USBIFNUM}==04, ENV{ID_MM_ZTE_PORT_TYPE_MODEM}=1 ATTRS{idProduct}==0033, ENV{.MM_USBIFNUM}==01, ENV{ID_MM_ZTE_PORT_TYPE_AUX}=1 # this is what I added ATTRS{idProduct}==0033, ENV{.MM_USBIFNUM}==02, ENV{ID_MM_ZTE_PORT_TYPE_MODEM}=0 Now modem manager uses proper ttyUSB3 and everything works as expected. There is one difference I've noticed using lsusb between ttyUSB2 and ttyUSB3 - the last has Transfer TypeInterrupt and the others have Transfer TypeBulk maybe it can be utilized to help modem manager to find right device. below I send full output of 'lsusb -d 19d2:0033 -v' : Bus 001 Device 068: ID 19d2:0033 ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM Device Descriptor: bLength18 bDescriptorType 1 bcdUSB 2.00 bDeviceClass0 (Defined at Interface level) bDeviceSubClass 0 bDeviceProtocol 0 bMaxPacketSize064 idVendor 0x19d2 ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM idProduct 0x0033 bcdDevice0.00 iManufacturer 3 ZTE,Incorporated iProduct2 ZTE CDMA Technologies MSM iSerial 4 1234567890ABCDEF bNumConfigurations 1 Configuration Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 2 wTotalLength 131 bNumInterfaces 5 bConfigurationValue 1 iConfiguration 1 ZTE Configuration bmAttributes 0xe0 Self Powered Remote Wakeup MaxPower 500mA Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber0 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 2 bInterfaceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class bInterfaceSubClass255 Vendor Specific Subclass bInterfaceProtocol255 Vendor Specific Protocol iInterface 0 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x81 EP 1 IN bmAttributes2 Transfer TypeBulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0200 1x 512 bytes bInterval 32 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x01 EP 1 OUT bmAttributes2 Transfer TypeBulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0200 1x 512 bytes bInterval 32 Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber1 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 2 bInterfaceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class bInterfaceSubClass255 Vendor Specific Subclass bInterfaceProtocol255 Vendor Specific Protocol iInterface 0 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x82 EP 2 IN bmAttributes2 Transfer TypeBulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0200 1x 512 bytes bInterval 32 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x02 EP 2 OUT bmAttributes2 Transfer TypeBulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0200 1x 512 bytes bInterval 32 Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber2 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 2 bInterfaceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class bInterfaceSubClass255 Vendor Specific Subclass bInterfaceProtocol255 Vendor Specific Protocol iInterface 0 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x83 EP 3 IN bmAttributes2 Transfer TypeBulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0200 1x 512 bytes bInterval 32 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x03 EP 3 OUT bmAttributes2

[Bug 1033226] Re: No close option, only restart
I would also like to see a close button back on that dialog. Don't bother users with this persistent window polluting the desktop. There used to be a nice restart recommended indicator before by making the gear icon in the indicator menu red and IMHO that was more than enough. Those who are worried about the security of their OS will restart and those who just want to get on with our work will be able to do so without additional windows getting in their way. If the updater UX remains so aggressive, it will only result in people turning off automatic updates [1] completely, causing much more severe security risks.
