[Bug 191472]
I will reiterate what David stated already. Each of the kioslaves are their own independent modules maintained by different people. So if there is a problem in any of them it would have to be fixed in that protocol's ioslave itself. As such if you find issues with a specific protocol, it would be wise to open a bug report against that specific protocol's ioslave, so the issue might get handled in a timely fashion. Please note that most developers are only subscribed to get bug reports against things they maintain ; so a generic bug report like this one might never reach them at all. Anyhow, if the kio_sftp ioslave is broken again, I am to blame since I added an optimization that made it a bit faster to copy files so long as either the source or the destination is a local file. This was done for the KDE v4.8 release. I will check and fix that. I will also see what can be done about the ftp ioslave. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kde4libs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191472 Title: Wrong timestamp on files copied over SSH To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kde-baseapps/+bug/191472/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

Git commit a3b8bc5ec9ecffa45b2d64789a4d571b7af79cc7 by Dawit Alemayehu. Committed on 10/06/2013 at 21:51. Pushed by adawit into branch 'KDE/4.10'. Set the modified (aka mtime) property for direct move jobs, i.e. where the ioslave has implemented copyFromFile/copyToFile. (In reply to comment #41) (In reply to comment #40) (In about two months we can celebrate the tenth birthday of this bug report.) Hey, great! 10th anniversary. [Bug 1170958] Re: [Regression] Panel shadow dropped on full screen windows after notification
In my humble opinion if you release a stable OS that is not able to properly play videos, and fail to correct that after all this time something is very wrong with your QA process. Releasing something with bugs is acceptable, taking this long to deliver a fix (which is already available) to a release with only 9 months lifetime is just WTF?!!! [Bug 1189565] Re: Random CPU hard locks on Intel D101GGC w/12.04 Server
Preliminary results suggest no fix, but there's a hiccup: [104371.521583] Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = 468697105616 ns) [104371.548267] Switching to clocksource acpi_pm That's nearly 8 minutes of lost time, with no other indication of a CPU lock. Because of this very issue, my /etc/default/grub previously contained: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=notsc clocksource=acpi_pm Unbeknownst to me, his had been auto-commented as part of the 3.10 installation. Now that we're back on acpi_pm, we'll see what happens. It would make sense that the tsc issue and my hard locks are tied to the same cause, but as I understand tsc is unstable for Pentium D and should be avoided. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1189565 Title: Random CPU hard locks on Intel D101GGC w/12.04 Server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1189565/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 504368] Re: sdl window intermittently scales instead of resizing
Scaling can be triggered by: - Pressing ctrl-alt-{minus,plus} (on certain keyboard layouts) - a SDL_VIDEORESIZE event SDL_VIDEORESIZE is always sent on an X ConfigureNotify event when a SDL_VideoSurface is active. (SDL_VideoSurface is NULL if a resize was done in SDL_SetVideoMode). So it really must be a window manager or something sending this resize event. What WM are you using? [Bug 1181789] Re: second call of 'initctl start' leads to fork instead of exec ('mount: / is busy' during shutdown)
The problem is in init/job_process.c, function job_process_run(). Upstart detects SHELL_CHARS in the exec line, so first time it launches command with shell and exec wrappings /bin/sh -e -c exec /bin/sh -c exit and set script flag for the job's MAIN_PROCESS. During the second initctl start and job_process_run the script flags is set so the following line is passed to job_process_span and execve /bin/sh -e -c /bin/sh -c exit Because of absent exec, shell forks, it is caught by handler, so upstart believes that daemon has been started.
