[Bug 1217723] [NEW] Cups fails printing a specific page of a PDF
Public bug reported: Hello. I am trying to print a PDF and it always fails in the page 11. And the rest is not printed. I have tried with different drivers that show the same issue. I am using a Lexmark printer but with drivers of other printers (because of compatibility, I have proven that the original drivers are not so good as using drivers of HP or Ricoh) Using a HP driver( Laserjet 9050 MFP pcl3),if I print only the page 11 I get this message: /usr/lib/cups/filter/hpcups. I already updated the hplib to the lastest version 3.13. and it is still failing. -Using the Gutenprint driver for the Ricoh 3045 it doesnt show a clear error in the cups console, but seeing the log I can clearly see one error: 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] Error reading a content stream. The page may be incomplete.', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] Error: /typecheck in --run--', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] Operand stack:', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] (/tmp/gs_ouCe76) --nostringval-- --dict:6/6(L)-- --dict:138/138(ro)(L)-- PageSpotColors --dict:6/6(L)-- --dict:1/10(L)-- --dict:2/4(L)-- --dict:6/6(L)-- 108515 13 0 --nostringval-- Coords --nostringval-- ColorSpace --nostringval-- BBox --nostringval-- -1.5 13 (e-05) --nostringval-- --dict:12/12(ro)(G)--', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] Execution stack:', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1914 1 3 %oparray_pop 1913 1 3 %oparray_pop 1897 1 3 %oparray_pop --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 1 1 --nostringval-- %for_pos_int_continue --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- %loop_continue --nostringval-- --dict:1/1(L)-- --nostringval-- 1 %dict_continue --nostringval-- %loop_continue --nostringval-- --dict:5/5(L)-- --nostringval-- 4 %dict_continue --nostringval--', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] Dictionary stack:', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] --dict:1174/1684(ro)(G)-- --dict:1/20(G)-- --dict:82/200(L)-- --dict:82/200(L)-- --dict:109/127(ro)(G)-- --dict:291/300(ro)(G)-- --dict:23/31(L)-- --dict:3/6(L)--', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] Current allocation mode is local', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] Last OS error: 2', 'D [28/Aug/2013:02:46:30 -0400] [Job 201] GPL Ghostscript 9.05: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1', Regards ** Affects: cups-filters (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Page 11 fails" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1217723/+attachment/3791286/+files/1.%20Marketing%3A%20Administraci%C3%B3n%20de%20relaciones%20redituables%20con%20los%20clientes%20%20%20%250A.pdf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1217723 Title: Cups fails printing a specific page of a PDF To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups-filters/+bug/1217723/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1217704] [NEW] Unable to log in when default DE that was already removed still being set as default DE for a user
Public bug reported: If users install additional Desktop Environments then uninstall all the additional DE's, all user accounts that used any of the removed DEs during their last login session will be then unable to log into despite being recreated because there's no way to select alternative DE at login screen when you have a single DE installed so those accounts will be stuck with the DE that was already removed Steps to reproduce: 1. Install any additional Desktop Environment eg lxde 2. Create a new user 3. Log into lxde using that user account 4. Log out and go back to your main account 5. Remove the new user account 6. Remove all additional DE completely and now you're left with your one primary DE 7. Recreate the new user that you just removed 8. Try log into it and watch lightDM kicks you back to login screen Solutions: 1. Make lightdm fallback to primary DE when user's default DE no longer exist on system 2. [Bug 1161776] Re: Failed to download repository information
I have seen this message for a few days. I see two problems here: 1. The user clicks "try again" because they think it might fix the problem and actually find updates. Because of the message "Check your Internet connection", the user thinks it is a problem on their end. They probably think that clicking "ok" will just close the software updater and do nothing. 2. There should be an option like "see details" in order to be able to localise the problematic repository or ppa. Without that option, the "Settings..." button is useless, as it does not direct to a solution to fix the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1161776 Title: Failed to download repository information To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1161776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1217687] [NEW] [mir] [multimonitor] mouse choppy, typing text in terminal slow
Public bug reported: Starting from a single laptop monitor, I plugged in external VGA monitor. The monitor was autodetected and turned on (nice!). I moved the external monitor to the left of the laptop monitor in Settings -> Display, and the, after about 3 minutes of moving windows around between monitors, the mouse becomes extremely choppy and typing text into gnome- terminal has a 3+ second lag between typed character and showing at the prompt. Setup and exact steps to recreate: 0. 1280x800 resolution laptop display with Intel-only graphics (Core i5 M520 @2.4), w/ Wacom capabilities. 1. Using Saucy 64bit iso daily from 27-Aug-2013 08:14, netbooted via a PXE and NFSROOT, with toram boot option. 2. Installed Mir per instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Mir/MultiMonitorTesting . After this I closed Ubuntu Software Center. Then, I opened a terminal and entered: sudo apt-get update Last, I open Ubuntu Software Center again and typed "broadcom" (no quotes) into the search box. This found the following two packages: bcmwl-kernel-source b43-fwcutter After installing these packages I was able to use wi-fi on the Ubuntu 13.10 Live CD. I didn't even need to do a modprobe command. ** Changed in: bcmwl (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075407 Title: BCM4322 Wireless Stopped Working after 3.5.0-18.29-generic Kernel Update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/broadcom-sta/+bug/1075407/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
