I hope this will reach bug triage. My Bug Description included: ERROR OCCUR DURING security-only update ~2200hrs 22 Feb 2014 I was mistaken. As you can see from the attached screen shot of Update Software Source Window, I had not 'reset' selection of 'important security update (precise security). [Bug 1180219] Re: Update to 2.68a
I faced the same problem when backporting to Debian/Stable (Wheezy). It seems that you'll actually need a libAV* of the 9er series. For Debian, these are in available through the backports repository. In my, case, on Debian/Stable, I did the following upgrades apt-get install libavcodec54=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 libopus0=1.1-1~bpo70+1 libavutil52=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 apt-get install libavcodec-extra-54=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 apt-get install libswscale-dev=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 libswscale2=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 apt-get install libavutil-dev=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 libavdevice-dev=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 libavformat-dev=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 libavcodec-dev=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 libavdevice53=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 libavformat54=6:9.10-1~bpo70+1 Obviously, the exact version numbers might vary, but you should try to get some 9.x versions known to work together for each of the libavcodecs libavcodecs-extra libavformat, libavutil and libswscale -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1180219 Title: Update to 2.68a To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/blender/+bug/1180219/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Christopher, Independent of the Incomplete or Expired status, it is a duplicate, that's why I corrected it again. Have you looked at the error message and oops trace? They are as identical as can be. This is the first time I am criticized for lessening the amount of bugs instead of creating more duplicates. :-) Anyway, I'm just trying to clean up here, asking for more info on a bug after 3 years is a bit strange, don't you think? I don't even have this system anymore on which this bug appeared. Or if that's your way of cleaning up, then let's make it a duplicate. Because else, if I would really, after 3 years, provide the info that you're asking for, that will just create more work for you. :-D Can you give me a compelling reason why you think it's not a duplicate? [Bug 1283864] [NEW] nvidia-cuda-dev depends on nvidia drivers
Public bug reported: I'm working on a software project that uses CUDA to accelerate some operations if the system has a compatible GPU. In order to support this, we need nvidia-cuda-dev installed when building. However, not all our build-machines have NVIDIA GPUs. Building without an NVIDIA GPU works fine if I install CUDA manually (not using the packaged version), but if I try to install nvidia-cuda-dev on my Intel NUC, X11 seems to break. My best guess would be that this is caused by nvidia-cuda-dev getting installed due to dependencies. This is on Ubuntu 13.10, nvidia-cuda-dev is v5.0.35-7ubuntu1. [Bug 1280842] Re: [enhancement] Need a method of hiding surfaces until they are ready to draw themselves
I'm a bit lost after the above comment. If there is a nesting-only bug I think it would be useful to describe that more concisely in a new bug report. As for this enhancement request, it's still almost reasonable to just implement (comment #2). But we shouldn't do so while there appears to be bugs fuelling the motivation for the enhancement. Bugs should be fixed independently of the enhancement request. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1280842 Title: [enhancement] Need a method of hiding surfaces until they are ready to draw themselves To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1280842/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1283850] Re: Spamassassin update broke Ubuntu GNOME daily builds
18:53 infinity Right, so that looks like a doko bug. g++ transitively pulls that header in, via libstdc++-dev - libgcc-dev, but gcc doesn't pull in libgcc-dev at all. 18:54 infinity Adding libgcc-4.8-dev or g++ to the dependencies works around the issue. 18:57 infinity A bit more heavyweight, but I'd suggest a dep on g++ to just pull in the lot. Of course, it should be a temporary hack until doko sorts out his deps, so I suppose either works. 18:57 infinity (Or just ignore it and reassign the bug to gcc-4.8) 18:57 infinity It's a recent issue, saucy's gcc-4.8 depends on libgcc-4.8-dev Taking my own advice, and reassigning the bug to gcc-4.8. ** Package changed: spamassassin (Ubuntu) = gcc-4.8 (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gcc-4.8 (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Matthias Klose (doko) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1283850 Title: Spamassassin update broke Ubuntu GNOME daily builds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-4.8/+bug/1283850/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1214241] Re: Freezes in midgame
I ran into a very similar behavior as well. There is an ongoing discussion at ubuntuforums where I posted some info but I think it is better suited here. Here is the thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2159402 So this is on Ubuntu 13.10 with znes package version 1.510+bz2-5ubuntu3. Very similar behavior -- the application stops responding to input after 30 minutes or so and can only be SIGKILL'd. (In reply to aceman from comment #125) I knew octal literals are deprecated so somehow I extended that to hex too. Thanks. The only reason old-style octal literals are deprecated is because it's too easy to confuse them with decimal literals e.g. 160 - 060 != 100.
