Josef, i am still having this issue on my fresh install of 14.04 (no upgrade from 13.10). The current version of the language packs on my system is 1:14.04+20140410 so they are the most recent afaik. I can't reproduce the bug in Virtualbox or on my netbook with open-source graphics drivers. But on my desktop and my laptop both using nVidia, and on a friends desktop with a Radeon card softwareproperties crash on searching for driver. In all 3 cases, my "workaround" has solved this issue. It leads me to believe that it gets triggered if: 1, Language is set to Swedish, and 2, options to use proprietary graphics drivers are available. nomodeset as a kernel parameter fix the problem. But, if you use nomodeset then you'll get software 3D acceleration in a clean installation (it seems radeon driver breaks suspend). "Mediascanner must scan the files or they can't be queried by the music scope or the music player app." Since I never truly used Music Scope, (not even believe it to be useful for me) uninstall Mediascanner was a better solution - of course in my case. Ubuntu 14.04 Gnome 3.10 I have 3 layouts, can't switch between them, not with shortcuts and not with choosing the language in the indicator. Sometimes it works to switch between two layouts, sometimes not. This is a terrible bug for people using multiple layouts on a daily work basis. Found on dconf-editor under desktop.ibus.general the key engines-order, and despite not having english as one of my input methods, the first value on this key was 'xkb:us::eng'. Removed that and the problem was resolved.
