[Bug 1357471] Re: Samba4 AD DC randomly dies, error: Did not manage to negotiate mandetory feature SIGN for dcerpc auth_level 6.
My two Samba AD DCs run in an environment with frequent network interruptions due to power cuts. It seems that even very brief network interruptions trigger this issue, which then doesn't resolve itself when connectivity is restored. After most network interruptions, the following three messages repeat in log.samba every 5 seconds, and 'sudo samba-tool drs showrepl' shows failures. A 'sudo service samba-ad-dc restart' is required to get everything working again. - Update failed: Miscellaneous failure (see text): Matching credential (GC/{other-dc}.{domain}/{domain}@{DOMAIN}) not found - Did not manage to negotiate mandetory feature SIGN for dcerpc auth_level 6 - Failed to bind to uuid {uuid-1} for {uuid-1}@ncacn_ip_tcp:{uuid-2}._msdcs.{domain}[1024,seal,krb5] NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. In a country with on average 12 powercuts *per day*, which despite a huge arsenal of stabilisers and UPS-es do cause brief network interruptions, you can imagine that this issue is a major pain in the behind :-/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1357471 Title: Samba4 AD DC randomly dies, error: Did not manage to negotiate mandetory feature SIGN for dcerpc auth_level 6. [Bug 1438046] [NEW] Can't download protected images
Public bug reported: In the webbrowser app I login to a site (https://slack.com) which has private image sharing. Under every image there is a link, named 'Open original' that links to the image itself (like https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T02A1MKNL- F046U9A6V/img_20150328_103844.jpg). But to see the image you've to login to the website. So, when you try to download it (long press - save image) the browser calls the content hub, and indeed content hub saves img_20150328_103844.jpg in ~/Pictures, but the file is an .html file, and not the image, so the photo doesn't appear in the gallery app. The first thing IMO is to display an error if the file isn't valid, because it took me a while understand what was wrong with my dowload - it says 'Success' but then my photo isn't in the gallery. Then, there should be a way to download private resources from the web ** Affects: content-hub (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1438046 Title: Can't download protected images To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/content-hub/+bug/1438046/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 518056] Re: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c
@Gunnar first of all, thank you for your (weekend :) time and good will with this issue. And yes, of course, this can be considered an answer. Now I know where to start searching for the changes that affected the old behaviour. Unfortunately, I cannot test your PPA because my machine (this) is running Trusty (14.04.1) in an AMD64. But I have an old spare 386 for tests. I will test in it after work and share here. If all goes well, I'll try to learn how to package for PPA and (if I succeed, of course) publish a version for Trusty-64 too. Is this ok? [Bug 1438045] [NEW] Samba shared printer keeps prompting clients for username/password
Public bug reported: This is a regression from Utopic, and Trusty. With a USB attached printer, when going through the New Printer dialogue in Ubuntu, it prompts for a username and password, despite the guest ok = yes configuration being performed for both [printers] and [print$]. With Windows 8.1 it won't even see the printer when attempting to connect with an IP address. The printer prints locally successfully, and the firewall is off. Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report. [Bug 1418295] Re: Black screen after resuming from suspend
For me killing unity-panel-service as a last resort doesn't work (anymore). I am sometimes, but not always, lucky by preforming these voodoo steps: 1) switch to a VT (text terminal, e.g. CTRL-ALT-F1), log in and type startx. 2) It starts another X session, and asks for a password (authentication is required to change your own userdata). Just press ESC a few times, and you end up with an empty, unusable desktop. You can't do much here. 3) Now switch back to the VT (again CTRL-ALT-F1) and press CTRL-C, which kills the new X session. 4) press CTRL-ALT-F7 to switch back to the original (black-screen) X session, which hopefully snapped out of blackness by the above steps. This bug is causing data loss much of the time, as it prevents accessing all your open apps and documents after suspending/resuming. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1418295 Title: Black screen after resuming from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1418295/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1432599] Re: Network-manager tries to manage virbr0, which it should not
Taking a cue from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1166199 I worked around the issue by adding the following to my /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf [keyfile] unmanaged-devices=interface-name:virbr0 Yet I imagine that the real solution is something more general. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1432599 Title: Network-manager tries to manage virbr0, which it should not To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1432599/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1437393] Re: Allow a confined app to read its own .desktop file
When .desktop files will disappear, there will be something else replacing them, and we'll use whatever that is. But asking the developer to add additional parameters just to workaround a temporary limitation is wrong. The developers are writing a .desktop file and feeding that to the desktop click hook, so they have already given us all the information we need. So, my suggestion is: change the apparmor rules so that an app can read its own .desktop file under ~/.local/share/applications/, and then, when these files will be removed, we'll use the new solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1437393 Title: Allow a confined app to read its own .desktop file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu/+bug/1437393/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
