Hi Jason, thank you very much for the patch, btw, today I was reading this pdf: http://www.compsci.hunter.cuny.edu/~sweiss/course_materials/csci493.70/lecture_notes/GTK_textview.pdf and noticed that lot of words with double f, like 'buffer', are not found[1] when searching for it, also when copied to gedit it shows the unicode not found glyph inplace of the 'ff' in the word. So, is your patch covering this double f case? If so, please ignore this comment, but for a quick reading over this bug I thought this double f case was not handled as it wasn't accented word or diacritic. Thank you. [Bug 1443605] Re: Please sync berkeley-abc 1.01+20141105hg5b5af75+dfsg-2 from Debian sid
Thanks for trying to keep Ubuntu up to date. This fails to build on armhf in Ubuntu (https://launchpadlibrarian.net/203302380/buildlog_ubuntu-vivid-armhf.berkeley-abc_1.01%2B20141105hg5b5af75%2Bdfsg-2~ubuntu15.04.1~ppa1_BUILDING.txt.gz) as well as Debian (https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=berkeley-abc&suite=unstable). It seems that the memory alignment patch needs a bit more from upstream. If there's not enough time to fix this before vivid is released (we have less than a week for final uploads to universe), I would suggest that we remove the package from vivid and request a backport as soon as it's fixed (if desired) to build on all architectures. I'd like to post an update to this bug report. For about two weeks now I've been running kernel 4.0.0-997-generic #201503310205 SMP Tue Mar 31 02:07:04 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux which I got here http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next/ I've also installed xf86-video-intel driver version 2.99.917. All of this was from the assistance of the Intel-Gfx mailing list. Other than having to reboot last week when a new standard Ubuntu kernel came down which was after 6 days of no lockups the system has been stable. Currently I'm again at 6 days, 5hrs with no lockups. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1402331 Title: System will periodically lockup with [drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... render ring idle To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1402331/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
