[Bug 1470730] Re: [HP EliteBook 840 G2, Realtek ALC3228, HP UltraSlim Dock 2013] Line in/Line out on docking station doesn't work
Ok, I will give it a try to recompile. Not sure what you mean with "mute led" but the laptop has the following keys/buttons: 1. Mute sound, this works as expected (both the button and the led showing state). 2. Turn on and off WiFi, this button does _not_ work to 100%. It will turn off/on the wifi but the color of the led doesn't change. Should be orange when it is off and lightblue when it is on. 3. "fn+f11" toggles 4 different levels of keyboard backlight including completely off. [Bug 1471504] Re: X11 crashes when opening LibreOffice
It has to do with the open sourced ATI driver. Im using an ATI HD7850, two of them. This is a problem for v14 as well. Ubuntu is the only distribution having this bug. Fedora and Debian do not have this issue. Gallium .4 works with this hardware. This is a really odd bug because Fedora team have found a way to mimic the proprietary driver functions using open source ATI drivers.Im surprised they havent backported the changes so that debian based systems can benefit. Even OpenCL is supported this way. On other setups you need the fglrx packages installed for this to work correctly. Also Im suprised that Debian has the lead lately with stretch. I thought ubuntu was based off of sid releases. You seem to be a tad behind. I would have to try again with a live cd, as Im on debian. Will have to get back to yall. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471504 Title: X11 crashes when opening LibreOffice To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1471504/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1480047] [NEW] failure to build on wily proposed due to wrong LDFLAGS usage
Public bug reported: quota build in Wily proposed is failing due to '-ltirpc' being added to LDFLAGS instead of LIBS. As stated in https://wiki.debian.org/ToolChain/DSOLinking#Only_link_with_needed_libraries and http://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/manual/autoconf-2.60/html_node /Preset-Output-Variables.html#index-LDFLAGS-93 libraries must be added to LIBS instead of LDFLAGS. The attached debdiff fixed the issue by: 1. Moving the '-ltirpc' entry from LDFLAGS to LIBS in debian/rules 2. Adding a $(LIBS) entry to binaries builds in Makefile.in ** Affects: quota (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: ftbfs patch ** Patch added: "fix Wily proposed build by moving lirpc from LDFLAGS to LIBS" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1480047/+attachment/4436621/+files/move-tirpc-to-libs.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1480047 Title: failure to build on wily proposed due to wrong LDFLAGS usage To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/quota/+bug/1480047/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

But I think the first loop can be > reduced. If the first loop is removed, there is some situation the second one can't handle. e.g. a quirk table has: {0x12, 0x9xxx}, {0x14, 0x9xxx}, {0x21, 0x02xx} while a machine only has {0x12, 0x9xxx}, {0x21, 0x02xx} and the NID 0x14 on the machine is a [Vendor Defined Widget] instead of a [pin complex]. In this situation, only the first loop can detect they are not matching. [Bug 1465968] Re: New scrollbars in wily (2015-06-04?) are hard to see (lack contrast) in Gnome Terminal
