[Bug 1435706] Re: DevLossTO, FastIoFailTO settings do not match multipath.conf expected values

2015-07-30 Thread Tore Anderson
To me fix doesn't actually appear to work. After upgrading to multipath-
tools 0.4.9-3ubuntu7.4on an amd64 trusty and rebooting, the
fast_io_fail_tmo and dev_loss_tmo values do not get written to sysfs:

$ grep . /sys/class/fc_remote_ports/*/*_tmo
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-0/dev_loss_tmo:30
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-0/fast_io_fail_tmo:off
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-1/dev_loss_tmo:30
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-1/fast_io_fail_tmo:off
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-0/dev_loss_tmo:30
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-0/fast_io_fail_tmo:off
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-1/dev_loss_tmo:30
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-1/fast_io_fail_tmo:off

The device stanza from multipath.conf contains the following:

device {
vendor "DGC|EMC"
product "RAID [0-9]*|VRAID|SYMMETRIX.*"
path_grouping_policygroup_by_prio
getuid_callout "/lib/udev/scsi_id --whitelisted
--device=/dev/%n"
path_selector "round-robin 0"
path_checkeremc_clariion
features"0"
hardware_handler"1 emc"
prioemc
failbackimmediate
rr_weight uniform
no_path_retry queue
rr_min_io 100
fast_io_fail_tmo3
dev_loss_tmo2147483647
}

FWIW, I can manually set the sysfs settings to the desired values:

$ echo 3 | sudo tee /sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-*/fast_io_fail_tmo
3
$ echo 2147483647 | sudo tee /sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-*/dev_loss_tmo
2147483647
$ grep . /sys/class/fc_remote_ports/*/*_tmo
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-0/dev_loss_tmo:2147483647
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-0/fast_io_fail_tmo:3
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-1/dev_loss_tmo:2147483647
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-2:0-1/fast_io_fail_tmo:3
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-0/dev_loss_tmo:2147483647
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-0/fast_io_fail_tmo:3
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-1/dev_loss_tmo:2147483647
/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/rport-3:0-1/fast_io_fail_tmo:3

[Bug 1480101] [NEW] [Wishlist] Website for shop

2015-07-30 Thread Krzysztof Tataradziński
Public bug reported:

Hello,
I think that creating official internet website for Ubuntu Store will be great
idea. Many website, apps has got sth like: "Available on Android, iPhone and
Windows Phone", and names are hyperlinks to website of exact store. Ubuntu
missing :( For now we can only provide links to unofficial (but still great!)
uappexplorer website. What do you think about that?

[Bug 1471790] Re: Audiotrak MAYA U5 not fully supported

2015-07-30 Thread jollaman999
I solved this problem by this method.

Download attachment file in Windows machine.
(It contains Release F firmware with Release 10's Firmware Upload tool. There
was a problem with original Release F upload tool.)

Connect MAYA U5 to Windows machine and flash firmware.

Get it back to Ubuntu machine.

Comment this line in two files.
load-module module-suspend-on-idle

sudo vi /etc/pulse/default.pa
sudo vi /etc/pulse/system.pa

Reboot your Ubuntu machine.

Hope this work!

[Bug 1470730] Re: [HP EliteBook 840 G2, Realtek ALC3228, HP UltraSlim Dock 2013] Line in/Line out on docking station doesn't work

2015-07-30 Thread Christoffer Holmstedt
Ok, I will give it a try to recompile. Not sure what you mean with "mute
led" but the laptop has the following keys/buttons:

1. Mute sound, this works as expected (both the button and the led
showing state).

2. Turn on and off WiFi, this button does _not_ work to 100%. It will
turn off/on the wifi but the color of the led doesn't change. Should be
orange when it is off and lightblue when it is on.

3. "fn+f11" toggles 4 different levels of keyboard backlight including
completely off. This works as expected.

commit 4b269775964f75300d3af56a4c57234d54a32e94
Author: Jorge Niedbalski

Allow ramdisk_id, kernel_id to be null on schema

Since is possible to create images with no
ramdisk_id, kernel_id parameters on glance v1,
then the schema-image.json needs to be modified to
allow null, string values for both attributes
and prevent LP #1447193 to happen with a glance v2
client.

[Bug 1480056] [NEW] eog create wrong window size and the image is not clear.

2015-07-30 Thread Ramil Minnigaliev
Public bug reported:

Try open example.png from attachment in eog and you will see that image is not
clear because of wrong window size. Image is scalling and that is why not clear.
Also you can see screenshots 1.png and 2.png.
On 1.png we see small black stripes on the sides of window because window is
smaller than need to image.
On 2.png we see vertical scrollbar that approve conclusion from 1.png.

[Bug 1471504] Re: X11 crashes when opening LibreOffice

2015-07-30 Thread rjasmin
It has to do with the open sourced ATI driver. Im using an ATI HD7850,
two of them. This is a problem for v14 as well. Ubuntu is the only
distribution having this bug. Fedora and Debian do not have this issue.
Gallium .4 works with this hardware.

This is a really odd bug because Fedora team have found a way to mimic
the proprietary driver functions using open source ATI drivers.Im
surprised they havent backported the changes so that debian based
systems can benefit. Even OpenCL is supported this way. On other setups
you need the fglrx packages installed for this to work correctly.

Also Im suprised that Debian has the lead lately with stretch. I thought ubuntu
was based off of sid releases. You seem to be a tad behind.
I would have to try again with a live cd, as Im on debian. Will have to get
back to yall.

[Bug 1480047] [NEW] failure to build on wily proposed due to wrong LDFLAGS usage

2015-07-30 Thread Tiago Sturmer Daitx
Public bug reported:

quota build in Wily proposed is failing due to '-ltirpc' being added to
LDFLAGS instead of LIBS.

As stated in
https://wiki.debian.org/ToolChain/DSOLinking#Only_link_with_needed_libraries
and http://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/manual/autoconf-2.60/html_node
/Preset-Output-Variables.html#index-LDFLAGS-93 libraries must be added
to LIBS instead of LDFLAGS.

The attached debdiff fixed the issue by:
1. Moving the '-ltirpc' entry from LDFLAGS to LIBS in debian/rules
2. Adding a $(LIBS) entry to binaries builds in Makefile.in

[Bug 1480032] [NEW] python 3.4 vs python 2.7 ??? package hplip-data 3.14.3-0ubuntu3.3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1

2015-07-30 Thread David Wilson
Public bug reported:

I previously had problems loading software and the had to type the
following to get it to work.

setpython2.7 ! to revert default python 3.4 back to 2.7

ll /usr/bin/pyt* ! test reversion worked then run the software update

setpython3.4! return or reset to python 3.4 as default then test again to
confirm

That worked before and I stopped doing it when for several updates it
did not appear to be necessary.

Hope this helps.

The new Dell laptop with codec 256 can't detect headset mic when headset
 was
inserted on the machine. From alsa-info, we check init_pin_configs and
 need to
define the new register value for pin 0x1d & 0x1e because the original
 macro
ALC256_STANDARD_PINS can't match pin definition. Also, the macro
 ALC256_STANDARD_PINS
is simplified by removing them. This makes headset mic works on laptop.

If the first loop is removed, there is some situation the second one
can't handle.

e.g.

a quirk table has:
{0x12, 0x9xxx},
{0x14, 0x9xxx},
{0x21, 0x02xx}

while a machine only has
{0x12, 0x9xxx},
{0x21, 0x02xx}
and the NID 0x14 on the machine is a [Vendor Defined Widget] instead of
a [pin complex].

In this situation, only the first loop can detect they are not matching.

Hui.

I would also deserve to be provided to Ubuntu Trusty, as Trusty is the latest
available LTS. The current Midori version from the repos is filled with bugs

Is there a bug report of the kind in Debian too? That would need a
