[Bug 1358294] Re: App .config not removed when app uninstalled
I keep getting an out of storage message in the camera app. The photos are saved to the SD Card that has over 10GB available. The storage ui shows that 'other files' make up the majority of the internal storage consumption. The 'other files' seems to be folders for apps that are no longer installed and there is no method to delete. Laney, all (or atleast most) of the locales have localised image/svg files of about ~2MB each, and while the majority use the english videos, there are 5-6 that have localised videos. Now I am not even sure if the images/videos get pulled into the launchpad translation packs, but I suspect they don't? which means we will still a package for each locale. There's an X- something header that I think you can use to grab translations into the langpacks for Universe packages. Talk to dpm/pitti about it. You could probably also make them split out another package for the video if that's too big to give to everyone. Craig, I appreciate that this is aggravating, but a bug tracker is not a support system. It is a system for helping a finite number of developers make best use of their time. A bug that -- while annoying -- is relatively minor, has a workaround, and probably was fixed three years ago, probably will not attract the attention of many developers. There are several ways you could attract a developer's attention to it. One would be to pay them to work on it. Another would be to raise the issue anywhere *except* this bug report, since everyone subscribed to this bug report already knows that the issue exists. Another would be to do some of the work yourself, to make the rest of the work easier. It's not all that surprising that whoopsie interferes with the test suite. The test suite assumes that new reports stay unseen and unprocessed, but whoopsie does process the reports. Also, it seems that whoopsie-upload-all itself crashes sometimes. Also, apport-noui.service is missing Type=oneshot. I still have a problem with trackpoint (trusty). Using elantech patch is working okay, I installed dkms module and... it's not initializing automatically. Trackpoint is not working, however when I use this modprobing: sudo modprobe -rv psmouse sudo modprobe -v psmouse It is starting work (trackpoint and scrolling) to the next restart. I don't know why it's happening. I have correct entry in /etc/modprobe.d /trackpoint-elantech.conf. Seems mir has the necessary support with mir_surface_set_preferred_orientation, which confusingly doesn't do anything at the moment, as the shell isn't honouring it. I'm currently providing orientation support in neverball and tuxracer by rotating the whole scene and touch input to the user preference, and locking to an arbitrary orientation using the desktop file parameter to prevent automatic rotation interfering with the gameplay. Removing hunspell dictionaries and installing myspell dictionaries improves the situation The regional settings - spell check configuration in plasma 5 is still a mess, because it lists hyphenation dictionaries ad gets insane or repeated entries. However now I have a working 'American English (United States) [US]' entry at last.
