[Bug 1489154] [NEW] NetworkManager does not start / fails to start

[Bug 1486673] Re: Attempting to enable multi-screen mode via amdcccle (with screen 1 to the right of screen 2) causes X to crash severely, as soon as you hit OK or Apply
interesting is that i fix it ,when i accept fglrx-updates ,after i run apt-get update in recovery console with read write mode with networking,and more interesting is that i do not install fglrx-updates ,and even after log in i double check in over menu in ubuntu in software and updates or neither with package manager i do not have fglrx-updates at all, and i do not use fglrx-updates.. i use fglrx manually installed.. synaptic knows for sure. sure i will not erase last and older version of kernel so fast ,as i used to be spoiled due no problems for so long time.. well trick is obviously that even one step down to older kernel not help in my case and lead me in wrong way ,seems 2 step down is right to exactly that one which came with 15.04..so that's why when you overwrite with re-install all works. but i keep with newest,and seems all is not perfect as i keep getting red triangle,not immediately but came after few hours..,but no package is reported broken in package manager..now came again after update of ubuntu base.. sure i will read all mentioned links..well about affected people is more then two,as as soon i can go on internet i read solution for similar same symptoms,to go back to original kernel which is shipped with 15.04..just those not reported bug.. well it so easy to overwrite just system partition,(and keep all settings in all other partitions),and then reinstall additional programs,seems and look more like update.. . life can be even more easy and good with ubuntu..but i am sorry for those who keep all on one partition..well i have red triangle from time to time, but no package is broken and all i try works... sure i will now read all mentioned links,and links from there,thanks a lot for that and respond. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1486673 Title: Attempting to enable multi-screen mode via amdcccle (with screen 1 to the right of screen 2) causes X to crash severely, as soon as you hit OK or Apply To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1486673/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1489072] Re: /usr/bin/unity8:11:LauncherModel::applicationRemoved:LauncherModel::qt_static_metacall:QMetaObject::activate:QMetaObject::activate:QAbstractItemModel::rowsAboutToBeRemoved
After digging for a while in QtMir's code, the code path described by the stacktrace seems ok too. One notable thing: according to errors.ubuntu.com the issue started happening first on 4th of August, which is when a refactoring of the code in question landed in qtmir. Could not manually reproduce the issue yet. The stack trace says it happens when an application is closed by the user, or at least a ApplicationManager.stopApplication() call is issued from qml. That could also be when shutting down the phone and closeAllApps() is called. ** Changed in: unity8 (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1489072 Title: /usr/bin/unity8:11:LauncherModel::applicationRemoved:LauncherModel::qt_static_metacall:QMetaObject::activate:QMetaObject::activate:QAbstractItemModel::rowsAboutToBeRemoved To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qtmir/+bug/1489072/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1489109] [NEW] system freezing with bluetooth sony vaio mouse
Public bug reported: Hello, I am testing Ubuntu-gnome 15.10... For this, I installed Wily in my notebook Sony VAIO SVS151290. I bought this notebook already with a Vaio integrated bluetooth mouse from Sony. While I used the Vivid I could use the mouse normally but after I did a fresh install of Wily, I began to realize that Ubuntu started to freeze completely, so that I am forced to shut down the notebook for it to return to work. Ctrl+Alt+F'n' does not work, 'Caps Lock' does not work,' Num Lock' does not work ... the computer stay completely paralyzed showing the frozen screen with content that was running just before freezing. At first I thought it was some crash that could be linked to the new kernel 4.1.0-3, but then one day, I had to put the mouse to recharge and I noticed that the Ubuntu worked normally throughout all the day. From there I started doing some tests and found that the crash only occurs when I use the Sony VAIO mouse... If I do not to connect the mouse and use only the touchpad, everything works normally without freezing. Every new update of Wily I've been redoing the tests but so far, the freezing is still occurring. Thank you very much! [Bug 1489117] [NEW] network-manager-gnome dont work properly after waking from hibernation
Public bug reported: Network-manager-gnome don't work properly after waking the machine from hibernation , i have found a workaround for this problem and the solution to get back the networkmanager back is sudo killall NetworkManager //(restart nm) the problem is i can not enable networking after hibernation . the applet shows a option (checkable menu item titled Enable Networking ) but on clicking it nothing happens. the check comes up but network services like wifi mobile broadband dont work (dont know what happens at backend but the options to enable/connect to them doesn't show up in nm-applet ) . [Bug 1489147] [NEW] Booting live Wily image results in black screen with wait for plymouth boot screen to quit warning
Public bug reported: I've run into this testing both the amd64 and i386 Ubuntu GNOME 20150826.1 images. But it only occurs after selecting Try Ubuntu from the normal boot screen. [Bug 1489127] [NEW] plasma-pa should conflict kmix
Public bug reported: plasma-pa and kmix are volume managers. both do almost the same thing. the big disadvantage is that kmix always starts with plasma and grabs the keyboard input so you multimedia buttons wont work as long as kmix runs. when you close kmix, they still dont work. you have to make sure that kmix wont start itself after login and relog. only when thers no kmix at startup, volumebuttons will work on plasma-pa so to fix this it would be good to conflict kmix in plasma-pa ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: plasma-pa 4:5.3.95-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.1.0-3.3-generic 4.1.3 Uname: Linux 4.1.0-3-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.18-0ubuntu7 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Wed Aug 26 20:55:28 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-08-26 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf - Alpha amd64 (20150728.1) SourcePackage: plasma-pa UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: plasma-pa (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug kde kubuntu plasma wily -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1489127 Title: plasma-pa should conflict kmix To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-pa/+bug/1489127/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
