[Bug 1503551] [NEW] Java segfaulted in i965 driver - lots of deleted mmapped files

Java encountered a segfault in the i965 driver while running Minecraft.
A perusal of the dump report suggests that the issue is not due to
Minecraft but due to heavy use of the graphics exacerbating a memory
mapping leak in the driver - it seems that the mappings for
/dev/drm/card0 and /dri objects are not properly freed.

Note that I was running Optifine with Multi-Core loading, which causes
multi-threaded use of the graphics driver.

Important parts of the hs_err file are pasted below. However, I cut out
a *lot* of the /drm mm object and /dev/dri/card0 mappings. There's a
more than a hundred pages at 30 lines a page.

Mouse in third profile mode, all ok, windows is selectable, cursor changed.
0:52 — enable first profile mode, button[20] is down. I can select anything in 
one window, but can't in another (look at button[1] state). 
1:13 — the cursor does not change, it remains in text mode (not the arrow). 
Button in left panel do not respond to pressing.
1:35 — enable second profile mode, button[20] is up. all work as excpected

Hmm looks like this was showing up on Oct 3 in the kern.log.1 but I

The underlying issue here is that the upstart script does not wait long
enough for squid3 to finish.

By default, when squid3 receives a SIGTERM it will close the socket for
incoming connections and will wait for existing connections to complet.
How long it waits before forcefully closing those connections is
configured by the shutdown_lifetime directive - 30 seconds by default.

Current setting, SIGKILL after 5 seconds:

Note that the current behavior is also quite bad and can corrupt cache
index files, which is a really bad thing as squid will take a long time
to start the next time when it detects a corrupted cache index file [1].

I'm willing to submit a SRU for this, but I wonder if we should replace
SIGTERM with SIGINT. Using SIGINT means that squid will drop outstanding
connections immediately and then proceed to write cache index files.
This will avoid squid slowing down shutdown times for users [2] and we
somewhat keep the current behavior (ie. the current 5-sec SIGKILL
already does that and I don't see anyone complaining).

With "kill signal SIGINT", which does not wait on outstanding connections:

Still, let me reiterate that even with SIGINT enabled I believe we
should still increase "kill timeout" somewhat as we surely want to avoid
any cache corruption. According to [1] we don't need to wait that much,
so I guess anything between 20~40 should be fine. Again, since issuing a
SIGKILL during cache write *WILL* corrupt it, it might be sane to wait
even longer for cases when the system is under high load and/or has a
lot of cache dirs - this would/should be quite rare anyway: in most
cases squid shutdown time with SIGINT should be under 5 secs.

Of course, since there is still a chance that SIGKILL does get issued,
we will also need the fix proposed in #1 because there's a chance the
pid file was not removed.

I have a Mad Catz M.M.O. 7 mouse with multiple buttons. The mouse have a
Profile Button, witch switch mouse setings. When first (default) profile
is active then left mouse button work is very buggy: cursor not change
(still in last form), windows do not selectable, etc

I think this happens because in profile mode used "hidden system"
buttons. pressed-released - is first profile, released-released -
second profile, released-pressed - third, etc.

command "xinput" reported about 24 buttons. button[20] is always
"pressed" in first profile mode. if xinput say what all buttons is
released, then no problem with mouse.

How long will it take to get this into Trusty?  Or would I have a better
time installing the Wily Beta?

Since 4.2.0 seems to work in SMP mode, my only issue is lack of drivers
for wifi and such. (And trusty in UP mode seems to run very, very hot
and is working the fan to death).

Worked fine on Nvidia GTX 760 with nomodeset in grub
Installed latest 352 x64 Nvidia driver and rebooted
Lightdm did not start and "systemd-logind[969]: Failed to start unit 
user@1000.service: Unknown unit: user@1000.service" was displayed twice.
After starting lightdm, it cycles and starts with new pids
