[Bug 1506139] Re: 15.10beta crashes encrypted swap partition
> This time, sda2 has survived as a valid and operating luks partition. Then the journal won't show the bits where it destroys it (but it's still useful for comparison). I'd like to see a journal when it does destroy the device. One way would be to just keep rebooting until that happens. However, there might be a faster and also more useful way. First, stop only the swap partition and luks device: sudo systemctl stop systemd-cryptsetup@sda2_crypt.service Now /dev/mapper/ should not have sda2_crypt any more, just sda3_crypt (for the root partition). Then you can run the commands in /run/systemd/generator/systemd-cryptsetup@sda2_crypt.service manually with extra debugging: sudo SYSTEMD_LOG_LEVEL=debug /lib/systemd/systemd-cryptsetup attach sda2_crypt /dev/sda2 none luks, swap, discard (enter passphrase) sudo /lib/systemd/systemd-cryptsetup detach sda2_crypt # now check if the signature is still correct: sudo blkid -p /dev/sda2 You can try running this several times until it destroys your partition (FTR, I ran it successfully some 20 times). Does that reproduce the bug for you? If so, please copy&paste the output from the command cycle that did the destruction. If not, then I guess it's something else in the boot process, and then please reboot until it happens and attach the journal output from this boot. Thanks! > Furthermore, I have another problem: When doing a regular boot, but boot process hangs after systemd listed the names of several services Please file a separate bug report about that. /usr/share/doc/systemd/README.Debian.gz describes how to debug such shutdown hangs. In particular, boot with enabling the debug shell, and when it hangs switch to it and check for running services and also save the journal. [Bug 1506721] [NEW] Rebranding Xara LX to Xoamorph
Public bug reported: Xara LX is still one of a handful of full-featured professional quality vector editing tools for Linux. It's features set it apart from other tools by ease of use and its strong ability to incorporate and manipulate raster images. Sadly Xara has discontinued supporting the tool, and because they reserve the trademarks, no third party has been able to step in and create a support community. To break that impasse I've created a re-branded repository Xoamorph to carry on Linux development. Unlike some of the other previous forks of Xara, the project's goal is not to replace CDraw (though maybe it will one day), but rather to maintain the application fixing bugs and integrating it with the latest version of dependant libraries, particularly WX, which is causing problems. As of this moment, the current snapshot in master has all the latest patches and compiles on 15.04. Work is currently under way to replace all user interface elements that contain trademarked images or text with Xoamorph branded ones. But that is not necessary to include it into the latest Ubuntu release. [Bug 1506696] [NEW] Bullets and numbering ignores paragraph formatting
Public bug reported: After years of fighting OO Writer's bullets and numbering, I have finally discovered at least part of the problem. It appears to consist of two parts. 1. There is no "No, I don't want bullets and numbering" for a selected paragraph. Both the formatting drop-down/paragraph and the bullent-and- numbering drop-down should both have this option, explicitly. More specifically, 2. Bullets and numbering is ultra aggressive. Under some conditions, even when bullets and numbering is turned off for a paragraph, O-O tries to implement numbering anyway. Worse, when this happens, not only the current paragraph is infected, but one or more subsequent paragraphs will also be affected, and the problem cannot be fixed. Bullets and numbering energizes itself, even if the paragraph does not have bullets and numbering enabled, when one or more of the following occur: .. A paragraph begins with a capital letter immediately followed by a period .. A paragraph begins with certain capital letters (C, but apparently others as well) .. The first character of the paragraph is a numeral followed by a period This issue with respect to the second item above can be overcome by enclosing the offending letter and some following text in double quotes (U S style, "). I don't know whether this works for numerals, however, or if only the first letter is so enclosed. Under these circumstances, it is impossible to disable bullets and numbering. When this aggressive behaviour occurs, it also causes indentation specifications to be ignored and attempts to correct formatting causes indentation specifications to be altered or eliminated. By bullets and numbering enabling, I mean that "include this paragraph" and/or "start numbering" is checked. I am using Open Office 4.2 in the current release of Ubuntu 14.04, presumably up to date, on an Pavilion laptop with AMD A8 processor. ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1506696 Title: Bullets and numbering ignores paragraph formatting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/1506696/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1500751] Re: Cryptsetup Keyboard not working on Xubuntu 3.19.0-30
The bisect reported 0ed67cf18 as the first bad commit. However, this also requires that I revert commit 53dfa1d. I built a Vivid test kernel with a revert of these commits. Can folks affected by this bug see if this test kernel resolves this bug and/or if it introduces any new issues?
