[Bug 1520519] Re: ASUS ROG GL552 TouchPad not detected

2015-12-15 Thread Çağrı ÖZSOY
Dear All,

I made a test with v4.4-rc5-wily kernel with Ubuntu 15.10 on Asus Rog
GL552.

After new kernel

 - Mouse pad works fine
 - Keyboard Back light works fine

Although, ubuntu crashes on log-in screen within 3 seconds.

Ps: ACPI OFF removed in grub to test mouse pad

Best Regards.

[Bug 1403152] Re: unregister_netdevice: waiting for lo to become free. Usage count

2015-12-15 Thread James Dempsey
We also backported [1] to 4.2 (linux-lts-wily) and deployed it to our
production OpenStack cloud. We just installed it yesterday and our MTBF
is between two and twenty days, so we won't know if this has made any
difference for a while now.

Some details about our configuration / failure mode:

Three OpenStack "Layer 3" hosts (running 3.19.0-30-generic
#34~14.04.1-Ubuntu) providing virtual routers/VPNs/Metadata via network
namespaces.

Our most recent failures occurred on hosts B and C (within 30 minutes of
each other, after having been fine for weeks) while removing routers
from A and re-creating them on B and C.

Our stack traces are a slightly different from the ones posted above...

[Bug 1526569] Re: [USB-Audio - USBStreamer, playback] No sound at all

2015-12-15 Thread jaescala
I found what the problem was...

It seem that when you plug the USBStreamer B for the first time the
asound.state does not have any channel mapping so it creates one for the
first time and read it the next time when the computer boot and alsa
start.

I erase the information of USBStreamer on asound.state, reload alsa and
I worked.

[Bug 1436211] Re: Remove GTK3 from phone images

libgweather's got a harder dependency on gtk, but evolution-data-
server's use of libgweather is optional and can be turned off in its
configure script with --disable-gtk, which also disables its use of gcr

[Bug 1526569] [NEW] [USB-Audio - USBStreamer, playback] No sound at all

2015-12-15 Thread jaescala
Public bug reported:

USBStreamer worked fine the first time I connected it to my Bodhi Linux
computer 8 channels in, 8 channels out connected to a Yamaha 03d with
the adat expansion card.

Next day I tried again and nothing no input, no output. Alsamixer only
recognize TWO controls: master playback and master capture, unmute
master and check on capture did nothing.

I decided to test with a windows computer and USBStreamer B works
perfect so I did a fresh Ubuntu Mate 15.10 installation to my computer.
Once I finished to install everything (JACK, etc) I plugged the
USBStreamer B to the computer and It worked perfect 8 channels IN 8
channels OUT..

But next day the same thing NO SOUND IN-NO SOUND OUT. But now I unmuted
alsamixer Master PLAY and checked CAPTURE and only got CAPTURE, NO PLAY.

If I plug the USBStreamer B for the first time it works perfect, but
after that It doesn't..

2015-12-15 Thread Seth Arnold
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

[Bug 1525008] Re: Ubuntu doesn't boot after laptop runs out of battery

2015-12-15 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Vadim Peretokin, as per
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5428311=8=4192
an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available
(1.33). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything?

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't
have to create a new bug report.

Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible:
1) Please provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
2) Please make a comment specifically advising on if there was an improvement
or not.
3) If the issue is still reproducible, please mark this report Status
Confirmed. Otherwise, please mark this as Invalid.

Thank you for your understanding.

[Bug 251761] Re: Cant change number of workspaces

2015-12-15 Thread Tadas
Bump. From what i've seen, it is fixed as this:
1.ccsm -> preferences -> backend -> set to gsettings.
2.go to workspace switcher and change number of workspaces. (it will reset to 1)
3. ccsm -> general -> general options -> desktop -> set horizontal and vertical
sizes to whatever you like ( I did 2x2)
4. ccsm -> backend -> set to flat-file. Wuala-the four workspaces have
appeared.

My distro is trusty.

[Bug 1516451] Re: check_disk plugin broken after upgrade to 15.10

2015-12-15 Thread Brian Morton
I suspect there isn't a code change here, but rather a difference in the
way Ubuntu is presenting its mount points. The plugin tries to
enumerate and check all mounts. A better use might be to add the actual
mount points to be monitored with -p

/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_disk -w '20%' -c '10%' -e -p / -p /var -p
/boot

12.04:
mount

none on /sys/kernel/debug type debugfs (rw)

14.04:

debugfs on /sys/kernel/debug type debugfs (rw,relatime)
tracefs on /sys/kernel/debug/tracing type tracefs (rw,relatime)

2015-12-15 Thread Martin Pitt
There's a ton of similar errors
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/+bugs?field.searchtext=unable+to+make+backup+link),
I'll duplicate them together and assign to dpkg for now. This could also
be a kernel issue, see bug 1498162, although that particular issue was
for a different case.
