[Bug 1576233] Re: FTBFS - ciborium - xenial arm64
Had a quick talk with Sergio about this: 13:55 We would need someone with go experience and, best, with ciborium experience to help out making it building for arm64 13:55 they all fall to whatever remains of phonedations 13:56 arm64 uses gcc-go I bet. [Bug 1588500] Re: Applications with permission for location claim they don't
Anyway, I don't see how this can be an invalid bug. Why did I not get an appropriate dialogue on the tablet explainging what was wrong? why did I have to come to Launchpad for an explanation (lucid and sensible though it be)? I also noticed this bug recently. I find it very annoying to get system emails now whenever unattended-upgrades is scheduling a reboot. [Bug 1567602] Re: FCP devices are not detected correctly nor deterministically
@ Benjamin Thank you for your insights. Is it possible to determine a scope of affected systems out there? So far a specific config is required to trigger this bug it seems, but I'm not sure how common such a configuration is. Extensive back-ports and reworks of the kernel are out of the question. However, we do have LTS hardware enablement kernel stacks - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack#Kernel.2FSupport.A16.04.x_Ubuntu_Kernel_Support in essence, some time after 16.10 release, the 16.10 kernels will be backported to 16.04, and 16.04.2 release installation media will use the updated kernel by default - v4.8 (current estimate for 16.10 kernel), such that affected systems will be able to use much newer kernel during installation and regular runtime eventually in the future (current approximate timing February 2017). Is it at all possible to test this issue with mainline kernels? and/or I guess we can wait for 16.10 to get upgraded kernel and retest on 16.10 to see if this issue is resolved with a newer kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1567602 Title: FCP devices are not detected correctly nor deterministically To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/1567602/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /nvidia-graphics-drivers-340/340.96-0ubuntu3.16.04.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. [Bug 1588192] Re: GL interfaces seem wedged for Krita on nvidia
Hello Mark, or anyone else affected, Accepted nvidia-graphics-drivers-361 into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /nvidia-graphics-drivers-361/361.45.11-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
I have applied the changes to 361 and 340. The old 304 legacy driver is the only one remaining, as it will require further changes (a switch from cdbs to debhelper) in order to apply Michael's patch. I promise I am going to fix 304 soon. @Timo, are you calling from a SIM different to the one you are using for data? If you have 2 SIMs inserted and you do that this is expected due to modem limitations. [Bug 1240848] Re: ~/.cache/upstart takes up around 70GB of space due to unity and mediascanner
It might not technically be unity's fault, why is unity logging a program's output anyway? Spotify causes a similar issue with the `unity7.log` file, if you have too many files open it fills the log with this: ``` 09:57:53.201 A [file_system_monitor_linux.cpp:104] Check failed: errno == EINTR: 09:57:53.201 A [file_system_monitor_linux.cpp:104] Check failed: errno == EINTR: 09:57:53.201 A [file_system_monitor_linux.cpp:104] Check failed: errno == EINTR: ``` Eating away gigabytes of space per minute, wasting write cycles of my SSD. Maybe unity can skip adding identical lines, maybe it can notify the user when a program is putting out so much errors, maybe we can just disable the log? [Bug 1588743] [NEW] Data not working during a call on turbo
Public bug reported: If I'm tethering from my turbo and make a phone call, I notice I lose a working data connection on my laptop. Wifi stays on but no packets move. Connectivity is restored as soon as call is ended. Since I'm usually always on 4G/LTE, and I think you can't have a call and 4G data at the same time (unless VoLTE), would it be that we're not correctly switching to 2G/3G data for the duration of the call, to have at least some data connectivity working?
