[Bug 1579815] Re: Please "duplicate" as php5-mongodb to trusty-universe

2016-06-30 Thread Nish Aravamudan
@Phil, just as an FYI, it's not so trivial to do what you suggest.

Building it from source is not the same as building it as a Debian package, and
as
Ondřej mentioned in c#7, it would actually end up needing to be a new source
package. That's just not something that will be done for 14.04.

This is, to be honest, the cost you run when you try to run more recent
tooling against older distributions (IMO). It sounds like Laravel made
this change recently, perhaps they should also clarify where that
version of the software is 'supported'. But that is a discussion for
Laravel not Ubuntu (again IMO). If not, then perhaps the Laravel folks
could document the suggested `apt` line provided by Ondřej in order to
build it locally (but then again, noting that you'd need to keep it up-
to-date yourself (bugfixes, etc.), I assume.

[Bug 1597806] Re: ipv6 neighbor discovery broken (on a bridge)

2016-06-30 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.7 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

[Bug 1577916] Re: Missing dependencies

2016-06-30 Thread Jeremy Bicha
nacc, why didn't you make libapache2-mod-php preferred in the latest
php7.0 upload for xenial?

How many php apps does the libapache issue affect? If it's a lot (or
most or all), shouldn't the change just be made in php7.0?

Because for drupal I added a dependency on php-xml (just like here) but
did not add the libapache2 dependency.

Can you test that kernel and report back if it has the bug or not? I

[Bug 1320752] Re: MAC Spoofing / Cloning for WiFi is broken in Trusty 14.04 / 14.10 and all others including Mint 17

2016-06-30 Thread Andy
I fixed the issue by adding the following lines to /etc/rc.local:

sudo service network-manager stop &&
sudo ifconfig wlp2s0 down &&
sudo macchanger -e wlp2s0 &&
sudo ifconfig wlp2s0 up &&
sudo service network-manager start

Now my MAC address is getting changed every time I restart.

[Bug 1597933] [NEW] Atomicparsley package completely broken

2016-06-30 Thread teo1978
Public bug reported:

Run:
sudo apt-get install atomicparsley.

This installs the package without errors.

Expected: should be able to run
 $ atomicparsley

Observed:

$ atomicparsley
atomicparsley: command not found

$ sudo find / -name atomicparsley
[no output]

Either the package silently failed to install, or the executable was not
installed in any of the default binary paths (nor a symbolic link was created),
or its name is not atomicparsley which would be stupid.

Below is the complete output from installing the package:

$ sudo apt-get install atomicparsley

[Bug 1597908] Re: linux-kernel: Freeing IRQ from IRQ context

2016-06-30 Thread Keith Busch
This system crashes making apport-collect not possible after the fact,
though I confirm it is a bug. As the upstream nvme driver maintainer, I
can recommend either which driver commits need to be reverted, or which
kernel commit needs to be cherry-picked (preferring the latter :)).

Here is a snippet of stack trace:

[Bug 1597929] [NEW] ListItem's actions not cropped

2016-06-30 Thread Gustavo Pichorim Boiko
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:
- Get an app that has two layouts and uses a listitem with leading actions in
the second panel (the one to the right
- Swipe from left to right to reveal the action

Expected behavior:
- Action icon is visible but not overflowing to the panel on the left

What actually happens:
- The contents of the left panel get covered by the action item's background
(see attached screenshot)

[Bug 1577495] Re: ast.ini installed/placed incorrectly

2016-06-30 Thread Nish Aravamudan
Jeremy,

So the rebuild does fix the issue, in that 0.1.1-1build1 installs:

/etc/php/7.0/mods-available/ast.ini

However, since it was only a rebuild, I also tested these two cases:

a) a user who locally modified /etc/php/mods-available/ast.ini. It
wouldn't work because of this bug, but they still made some change
locally. On upgrade, they will see:

Obsolete conffile /etc/php/mods-available/ast.ini has been modified by you.
Saving as /etc/php/mods-available/ast.ini.dpkg-bak ...

b) a user who locally copied /etc/php/mods-available/ast.ini to
/etc/php/7.0/mods-available/ast.ini and made some modifications. dpkg
notices the existing file and asks the user what to do, as expected.

Note that a side-effect of this bug is seen during the -proposed
upgrade:

dpkg: warning: unable to delete old directory '/etc/php/mods-available':
Directory not empty

and the resulting system has an empty /etc/php/mods-available.

I think these are all fine, so will mark it verified.

[Bug 1597290] Re: Wallpapers in Windowed Mode are not scaled correctly

2016-06-30 Thread Pablo Marlasca
Yes, I understand that scaling method, but what I mean is that even
using a 4K landscape wallpaper, when the phone screen is vertical it
looks very blurry (it is not a resolution issue). My phone is a BQ E4.5
(maybe it only happens with this phone model?).

The problem is that the only way of having a sharp background image is
when the screen orientation coincides with the picture "format"
(portrait or landscape).

I attach a screenshot to show the problem: it is a high resolution
landscape wallpaper (2483x1553) that looks blurry when the phone screen
is vertical. The Gallery app is open to show that the same picture looks
much better in it than in the background. Thanks!!

[Bug 1571564] Re: Unable to install Kubuntu 16.04

2016-06-30 Thread Påvel Nicklasson
I have no chance to tick any alternatives. The Installation never starts. Thus
there are no installation logs either.
As I posted in comment 30 I suspect the bug is related to this one:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/llvm-toolchain-3.8/+bug/1564156 and
has nothing to do with missing language packs. Since there are an alternative
in Ubuntu and other Buntu flavors to install without starting the live session,
it is possible to install and download necessary updated during installation
despite the bug (as I am able to verify). Since this is not possible in
Kubuntu, users with modern hardware similar to mine are stuck.
I think it is really bad to release a LTS-version with such a bug.

[Bug 962616] Re: mii-tool assumes NIC names of the form eth* when given no interface(s) as argument

This commit can be found at this updated URL:
https://sourceforge.net/p/net-tools/code/ci/9dc3a20511a409e1de1a41d715a10028d3bc1b56/

Not that the approach taken by this commit is to change the mii-tools
command to require interface names to be specified on the command line,
rather than updating the program to do a more robust search for defined
interfaces.

[Bug 1595302] Re: [SRU] xenial cloud-init update

2016-06-30 Thread Scott Moser
I'm marking this as verification-done.
On each of the platforms below, I
  * launched an instance of current xenial with userdata and without userdata
  * upgraded and collected logs
  * rebooted and collected logs (to verify reboot was fine)
  * cleaned instance and rebooted and collecte logs (to verify first boot)

I did not verify do the no-userdata case on nocloud as it cloud-localds
didn't support it.
