[Bug 840708]
I also see this. Using Kubuntu 16.04 here. For example, if GStreamer is installed, when I run this in konsole: GST_DEBUG=2,*src*:9 gst-launch-1.0 fakesrc ! fakesink silent=false then output will eventually no longer be printed. For a while, I can press the return key to manually "advance" the log output (perhaps this flushes something inside konsole?), but eventually, it reaches a point where the tab is completely frozen - I can scroll back, and copy text, but keyboard input no longer does anything, and the output is still. The only thing I can do then is to close that tab. This is highly annoying when debugging code, because sometimes, there can be lots of log output, which in turn sometimes triggers this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/840708 Title: Konsole only redraws the terminal if the mouse is moving. Public bug reported: The /bin/kill in ubuntu16.04 has a bug , it has bug in killing process group . [Bug 1566508] Re: autofs races with sssd on startup
I finally had a chance to test this issue in Ubuntu 16.04. In a setup described as in the bug description above, autofs still won't start correctly, and this is a result of the whole string of problems. Most of them appear to be separate bugs, but I will list them here for completeness: 1. ifup returns before interface is up. 2. ifup@.service finishes before interface is up. This is for two reasons: because the service calls ifup, and because the service has wrong type (simple instead of oneshot). As a result, network-online.target is reached at a wrong time. 3. sssd.service does not wait for network-online.target. 4. autofs reverted in Xenial to a SysV-style script and does not have a systemd-style service file. Thus it is difficult to request that it is started after sssd. However, fixing #2 causes systemd to run SysV scripts much later, providing a relief for problems #4 and #5. 5. The issue being subject of this bug report is very likely still present, though I was unable to reproduce it exactly. Unfixed issue #2 caused auto fs to fail with a different error message ("setautomntent: lookup(sss): setautomntent: No such file or directory"), while fixed issue #2 hid the bug. The workaround involving waiting for sssd to start listening on /var/lib/sss/pipes/autofs can still be used for extra safety. I will test this further. I will work more on these problems and submit bug reports for them if they haven't been reported yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1566508 Title: autofs races with sssd on startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/autofs/+bug/1566508/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1574347] Re: [SRU] Re-read the link type if the name changed
I am on 16.04.1, and I too am having this issue. [Bug 1592232] Re: USA: Meizu Pro 5 changes from cellular carrier to "Denied" (AT&T and T-Mobile)
Here you go, Alfonso. I'm happy to provide any additional information that I edited out in an email to you directly if you need it. Additional information about this scenario: RIL 1 has the AT&T SIM card RIL 0 has the Cricket SIM card Cricket is an MVNO of AT&T. However, as I sat in the same exact spot as I did yesterday when I recorded the previous video, my phone said "DENIED" for AT&T (2G/3G) but Cricket (2G Saves Battery) was fine with solid signal. I executed the list-modems script, and the AT&T network came back as an [H] network with 2Mbps download speeds. Obviously not the best speeds that I've seen, but far from "DENIED." Updating from "DENIED" to "H" while executing the script may be a coincidence, but I figured that I would mention it. /usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-modems log ___ [ /ril_1 ] Revision = S333_M86_20151002_CHNOPEN_MZ024 Lockdown = 0 Serial = x (Edited) Powered = 1 Model = Fake Modem Model Features = gprs ussd net sms rat sim Emergency = 0 Type = hardware Online = 1 Manufacturer = Fake Manufacturer Interfaces = org.ofono.ConnectionManager org.ofono.CallForwarding org.ofono.CallBarring org.ofono.CallSettings org.ofono.SupplementaryServices org.ofono.NetworkRegistration org.ofono.Phonebook org.ofono.PushNotification org.ofono.MessageManager org.ofono.NetworkTime org.ofono.MessageWaiting org.ofono.RadioSettings org.ofono.SimManager org.ofono.CallVolume org.ofono.VoiceCallManager [ org.ofono.ConnectionManager ] RoamingAllowed = 1 Attached = 0 Powered = 1 [ org.ofono.CallForwarding ] VoiceBusy = VoiceUnconditional = VoiceNoReply = ForwardingFlagOnSim = 1 VoiceNotReachable = VoiceNoReplyTimeout = 20 [ org.ofono.CallBarring ] VoiceIncoming = disabled VoiceOutgoing = disabled [ org.ofono.CallSettings ] CalledLinePresentation = disabled CallingLinePresentation = enabled ConnectedLinePresentation = unknown ConnectedLineRestriction = unknown VoiceCallWaiting = enabled CallingLineRestriction = off HideCallerId = default CallingNamePresentation = unknown [ org.ofono.SupplementaryServices ] State = idle [ org.ofono.NetworkRegistration ] Status = registered Mode = auto-only Technology = hspa Strength = 25 CellId = 160075535 Name = LocationAreaCode = 7981 [ org.ofono.Phonebook ] [ org.ofono.PushNotification ] [ org.ofono.MessageManager ] Bearer = cs-preferred ServiceCenterAddress = +13123149810 Alphabet = default UseDeliveryReports = 0 [ org.ofono.NetworkTime ] [ org.ofono.MessageWaiting ] VoicemailMailboxNumber = +14432803092 VoicemailMessageCount = 0 VoicemailWaiting = 0 [ org.ofono.RadioSettings ] FastDormancy = 0 AvailableTechnologies = gsm umts lte TechnologyPreference = umts [ org.ofono.SimManager ] MobileCountryCode = 310 MobileNetworkCode = 410 Present = 1 Retries = BarredDialing = 0 CardIdentifier = (Edited) FixedDialing = 0 LockedPins = PreferredLanguages = en SubscriberIdentity = (Edited) SubscriberNumbers = xxx (Edited) PinRequired = none [ org.ofono.CallVolume ] MicrophoneVolume = 0 Muted = 0 SpeakerVolume = 0 [ org.ofono.VoiceCallManager ] EmergencyNumbers = 08 000 999 110 120 911 122 112 118 119 [ /ril_0 ] Revision = S333_M86_20151002_CHNOPEN_MZ024 Lockdown = 0 Serial = x Powered = 1 Model = Fake Modem Model Features = gprs ussd net sms rat sim Emergency = 0 Type = hardware Online = 1 Manufacturer = Fake Manufacturer Interfaces = org.ofono.ConnectionManager org.ofono.CallForwarding org.ofono.CallBarring org.ofono.CallSettings org.ofono.SupplementaryServices org.ofono.NetworkRegistration org.ofono.Phonebook org.ofono.PushNotification org.ofono.MessageManager org.ofono.NetworkTime org.ofono.MessageWaiting org.ofono.RadioSettings org.ofono.SimManager org.ofono.CallVolume org.ofono.VoiceCallManager [ org.ofono.ConnectionManager ] RoamingAllowed = 1 Bearer = none Attached = 0 Powered = 0 [ org.ofono.CallForwarding ] VoiceBusy = VoiceUnconditional = VoiceNoReply = ForwardingFlagOnSim = 1 VoiceNotReachable = VoiceNoReplyTimeout = 20 [ org.ofono.CallBarring ] VoiceIncoming = disabled VoiceOutgoing = disabled [ org.ofono.CallSettings ] CalledLinePresentation = disabled CallingLinePresentation = enabled ConnectedLinePresenta

--- Comment From mark...@us.ibm.com 2016-08-05 18:54 EDT--- This seems to be working now. Did the following: - Created a base image that included the cloud-init material. Cloned it and provided the cloudconfig drive. Then did "sudo reboot" to soft reboot. Verified no more warnings at the "init-local" stage. Verified successful configuration from the cloudconfig drive. - Ejected the cloudconfig drive. Did another soft reboot. Confirmed the boot messages still looked good. [Bug 1606657] Re: neutron-linuxbridge-cleanup.service uses wrong config file
Hi Paul, I've uploaded a fix for this to Yakkety for Newton. If you can test this out that would be helpful. Then we can get it backported to Xenial for Mitaka. ** Changed in: cloud-archive Assignee: (unassigned) => Corey Bryant (corey.bryant) ** Changed in: cloud-archive/mitaka Assignee: (unassigned) => Corey Bryant (corey.bryant) ** Changed in: neutron (Ubuntu Xenial) Assignee: (unassigned) => Corey Bryant (corey.bryant) ** Changed in: neutron (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Corey Bryant (corey.bryant) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1606657 Title: neutron-linuxbridge-cleanup.service uses wrong config file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/1606657/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Sandeep, Thanks for the bug report. I've moved the install of sso_callback_template.html in yakkety from /usr/share to /etc/keystone and the fix should be available in the archive soon. [Bug 1610434] Re: Reboot after Trusty HWE upgrade freezes saying Restoring resolver state
** Description changed: Having updated update-manager from trusty-proposed yesterday I booted into Ubuntu GNOME Trusty w/Utopic HWE and update-notifier told me that my HWE was EOL so I accepted the upgrade. Everything seemed to complete successfully and I was notified to reboot. Upon doing so boot freezes with the message "Restoring resolver state". I was unsure what package to file this against and since I can't boot that install I was unable to file using ubuntu-bug anyway. This freeze occurs whether trying to boot the lts-xenial kernel or the older lts-utopic kernel. - I can collect info as needed, the only useful I see in the logs in from - apt/history beginning with the update-manager update yesterday and + I can collect info as needed, the only useful info I see in the logs in + from apt/history beginning with the update-manager update yesterday and ending with the HWE EOL upgrade just a short time ago: Start-Date: 2016-08-04 19:23:23 Commandline: apt-get install update-manager Upgrade: update-manager:i386 (0.196.14, 0.196.15), python3-update-manager:i386 (0.196.14, 0.196.15), update-manager-core:i386 (0.196.14, 0.196.15) End-Date: 2016-08-04 19:23:35 Start-Date: 2016-08-05 13:57:56 Commandline: aptdaemon role='role-commit-packages' sender=':1.50' Install: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-lts-xenial:i386 (1.8.2-1ubuntu3~trusty1, automatic), libgl1-mesa-dri-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu-lts-xenial:i386 (1.1.0-1~trusty1, automatic), libgles2-mesa-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1), linux-headers-4.4.0-31-generic:i386 (4.4.0-31.50~14.04.1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-qxl-lts-xenial:i386 (0.1.4-3ubuntu3~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-savage-lts-xenial:i386 (2.3.8-1ubuntu3~trusty1, automatic), linux-image-4.4.0-31-generic:i386 (4.4.0-31.50~14.04.1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-trident-lts-xenial:i386 (1.3.7-1build2~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-siliconmotion-lts-xenial:i386 (1.7.8-1ubuntu6~trusty1, automatic), libegl1-mesa-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1), xserver-xorg-lts-xenial:i386 (7.7+13ubuntu3~trusty2), xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse-lts-xenial:i386 (13.1.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1, automatic), libglapi-mesa-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1, a utomatic), xserver-xorg-video-nouveau-lts-xenial:i386 (1.0.12-1build2~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-input-wacom-lts-xenial:i386 (0.32.0-0ubuntu3~trusty1, automatic), linux-generic-lts-xenial:i386 (4.4.0.31.21), xserver-xorg-video-openchrome-lts-xenial:i386 (0.3.3+git20160310-1~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-input-all-lts-xenial:i386 (7.7+13ubuntu3~trusty2), xserver-xorg-video-neomagic-lts-xenial:i386 (1.2.9-1build2~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-vesa-lts-xenial:i386 (2.3.4-1build2~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-input-evdev-lts-xenial:i386 (2.10.1-1ubuntu2~trusty1, automatic), libllvm3.8v4:i386 (3.8-2ubuntu3~trusty4, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-vmware-lts-xenial:i386 (13.1.0-2ubuntu3~trusty1, automatic), linux-headers-4.4.0-31:i386 (4.4.0-31.50~14.04.1, automatic), linux-image-extra-4.4.0-31-generic:i386 (4.4.0-31.50~14.04.1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-radeon-lts-xenial:i386 (7.7.0-1~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-tdfx-lts-xenial:i386 (1.4.6-1build2 ~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-fbdev-lts-xenial:i386 (0.4.4-1build5~trusty1, automatic), libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1), xserver-xorg-video-intel-lts-xenial:i386 (2.99.917+git20160325-1ubuntu1~trusty1, automatic), libgbm1-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1, automatic), thermald:i386 (1.4.3-5~14.04.4, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-mga-lts-xenial:i386 (1.6.4-1build2~trusty1, automatic), libdrm-amdgpu1:i386 (2.4.67-1ubuntu0.14.04.1), linux-headers-generic-lts-xenial:i386 (4.4.0.31.21, automatic), linux-image-generic-lts-xenial:i386 (4.4.0.31.21, automatic), libxatracker2-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1), xserver-xorg-video-all-lts-xenial:i386 (7.7+13ubuntu3~trusty2, automatic), libgles1-mesa-lts-xenial:i386 (11.2.0-1ubuntu2~trusty1), xserver-xorg-video-sisusb-lts-xenial:i386 (0.9.6-2build5~trusty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-core-lts-xenial:i386 (1.18.3-1ubuntu2.2~trusty2), xserver-xorg-video-cirrus-lts-xenial:i386 (1.5.3-1ubuntu3~trus ty1, automatic), xserver-xorg-video-ati-lts-xenial:i386 (7.7.0-1~trusty1, automatic) Upgrade: firefox:i386 (47.0+build3-0ubuntu0.14.04.1, 48.0+build2-0ubuntu0.14.04.1), avahi-autoipd:i386 (0.6.31-4ubuntu1, 0.6.31-4ubuntu1.1), oxideqt-codecs-extra:i386 (1.15.8-0ubuntu0.14.04.1, 1.16.5-0ubuntu0.14.04.1), libavahi-common-data:i386 (0.6.31-4ubuntu1, 0.6.31-4ubuntu1.1), libavahi-client3:i386 (0.6.31-4ubuntu1, 0.6.31-4ubuntu1.1), libavahi-common3:i386 (0.6.31-4ubuntu1, 0.6.31-4ubuntu1.1), avahi-utils:i386 (0.6.31-4ubuntu1, 0.6.31-4ubuntu1.1), avahi-daemon:i386 (0.6.31-4ubuntu1, 0.6.31-4ubuntu1.1), libavahi-gobject0:i386 (0.6.31-4
