[Bug 1609772] Re: python-z3 package doesn't work, can't import z3
Adding __init__.py fixes the problem but then I've to use `from z3.z3 import *` rather than `from z3 import *`. The proper fix would be, as noted by OP, install the z3*.py at top level. Interestingly, in lp v4.4.0-2 of the package, the changelog (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/z3/4.4.0-2) mentions adding __init__.py but it isn't included in the amd64 .deb. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1609772 Title: python-z3 package doesn't work, can't import z3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/z3/+bug/1609772/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1604313] Re: Ubuntu 16.04: system freezes instead of suspend after undocking
brandon211, the next step is to fully commit bisect from kernel 4.4.0-22 to 4.4.0-28 in order to identify the last good kernel commit, followed immediately by the first bad one. This will allow for a more expedited analysis of the root cause of your issue. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection ? Please note, finding adjacent kernel versions is not fully commit bisecting. Also, the kernel release names are irrelevant for the purposes of bisecting. After the offending commit (not kernel version) has been identified, then please mark this report Status Confirmed. [Bug 1617696] [NEW] Maximize button instead unmaximizes window after tiling
Public bug reported: 1) lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Release:16.04 2) apt policy compiz compiz: Installed: 1:0.9.12.2+16.04.20160801.3-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:0.9.12.2+16.04.20160801.3-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:0.9.12.2+16.04.20160801.3-0ubuntu1 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main amd64 Packages 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:0.9.12.2+16.04.20160415-0ubuntu1 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main i386 Packages Please see attached Bug Demo.pdf for keyboard click-for-click instructions with screenshots. 3) What is expected to happen is start with a Firefox window maximized. Notice at the top left of the window three buttons from left to right: Close, Minimize, and Unmaximize. Secondary click the window and notice the same options in the menu. Next, click Super+Left to tile the window to the left side of the screen. Notice how in the top left, the buttons from left to right are Close, Minimize, and Maximize. Secondary click the window, and notice the same options. Next, at the top left of the window click the Maximize button. It should maximize the window. 4) Instead, what happens is it unmaximizes the window so that the top left buttons aren't visible. Move the window so the buttons are visible, and secondary click it. Notice the menu has the same options as the buttons: Close, Minimize, and Maximize. Click the Maximize button. Now the window is maximized. This is not reproducible in a Guest session with either GNOME Flashback (Compiz) or GNOME Flashback (Metacity). So, it may be correlated to the specific configurations within CompizConfig Settings Manager. WORKAROUND: Alt+Space > Maximize when the window unexpectedly unmaximizes. However, Evolution is locked into Gnome and many of the features and abilities of Gnome. I can use Thunderbird with no problem, but I can only use Evolution calendar in Gnome. (Is Gnome trying to be Microsoft?) Anyway, we all know the issue. Evolution is buggy at best. Evolution will not connect to Gmail or Google Apps. It won't let me access my Google Calendar if I cannot access my email. This could be separated as well, but it's not at this time. Google uses OAuth, and you have to live under a rock to know it. I have gone through all the steps to allow an insecure application to access Gmail, but Evolution spontaneously decides I'm offline because it does not receive the proper response from Google Mail servers. Please fix it, or at least untie Evolution from Gnome. By the way, fixing it in a later version is not a fix. If you are using an unfixed version and the fixed version is not available for the version of Ubuntu one is using, it's not fixed. Getting off my soapbox. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. [Bug 1617632] [NEW] System entirely freezes--keyboard, mouse no use
Public bug reported: I recently upgraded to the xenial LTS hardware enablement stack for 14.04. Wily was working like a charm. Now, periodically my system freezes. My mouse stops working (doesn't even get power), keyboard is unresponsive (though it is getting power, as indicated when I switch my mouse to the keyboard usb slot, still mouse doesn't work). Ctrl-alt-F4 etc. do not switch me to an alternate terminal. I have to do a hard shut down. Everything works fine after reboot, till the next system freeze. I wonder if doing an upgrade to 16.04 will solve this issue or make matters worse.
