[Bug 1581088] Re: Middle mouse (wheel-click) button stopped working after upgrade to 16.04

[Bug 1629972] Re: networking stop incorrectly disconnects from (network) root filesystem
> ifdown -a --exclude=lo Indeed, nicely spotted! So this would make a difference on machines which still have "lo" in /etc/network/interfaces (which hasn't been necessary/recommended since 2014), but I figure we still have too many places (installer/cloud image builder etc.) which write that. So adding --exclude=lo is correct for sure (even it might not completely fix this bug). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1629972 Title: networking stop incorrectly disconnects from (network) root filesystem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1629972/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1227996] Re: [Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13] ubuntu doesn't know about Yoga screen rotation keycodes: atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e03e ' to make it known.
I am also having this issue. It started happening for me when I was using ArchLinux during July of 2016; I was thinking about going back to Ubuntu, so I re-installed Lubuntu over Arch. Low and Behold, the issue persists. My issue is worse in that usually the key(s) that will trigger this repeated key is the arrow keys, which I frequently use to scroll up and down through man pages, web pages, etc. However, when this occurs, my keyboard no longer responds to input, and my mouse will start "falling" to whichever direction the arrow key corresponds (down arrow repeat will cause my mouse cursor to continuously move to the bottom of the screen). I noticed that my dmesg was being spammed with this error too, and when I (temporarily) set the keycodes to 255, the issue persists, but the error message will go away from dmesg. If my issue seems right for another new bug thread, please let me know. [Bug 1623585] Re: Toolbar is blank
Hi. I never had the empty toolbar before Yakkety install today and I've spent quite a bit of time re-discovering the solutions you list here. I'm wrestling with the compiler errors from both emacs 25.1 and the 24.5 as distributed with Yakkety. Can somebody explain how a package that does not build on Yakkety was distributed with it? I thought that was impossible. I've got the sources for the updates mentioned in #8 and am compiling. I do confirm it does not crash at the same spot as the release version. [Bug 1630063] Re: specific USB devices disconnect and don't reconnect
I was able to fix the issue by changing the IO_WATCHDOG_DELAY in ohci- hcd.c from 250 msec to 275 msec. I suspect that the new timer wheel based timers in 4.8 have exposed a bug in the ohci driver. [Bug 1310186] Re: mediascanner prevents unmounting usb device
It's difficult to see how to fix this. External devices are scanned because people quite often use USB sticks or external drives with their music collections. I'm not sure whether it is even possible for mediascanner to find out that some other arbitrary process has asked for a filesystem to be unmounted. If so, the daemon could back off. If not, I don't know what else it could/should do. For what it's worth, placing a file called .nomedia into a directory prevents scanning of that directory (and all its subdirectories). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1310186 Title: mediascanner prevents unmounting usb device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mediascanner2/+bug/1310186/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1574324] Re: pulseaudio crashes when connecting to bluetooth headphones (due to ubuntu changes?)
Hi Luke, I did a clean install of Ubuntu GNOME 16.04.1 just a few days ago. With the Ubuntu-provided Pulseaudio packages, my Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 (PLT_BBTGO2) bluetooth headphones would connect and then disconnect. I have now added your PPA and confirmed that the headphones connect and stay connected. Oddly enough, the headphone profile was set to "Analog" by default. Upon clicking the dropdown to select the profile, "Analog" was not an option, and it immediately auto-selected HSP/HFP. I then changed it to A2DP and I was able to hear nice, high quality audio through my headphones! :) Unfortunately, after turning the headphones off/on, the headphones immediately reconnected and defaulted to the A2DP profile, but there was no sound. I then changed the profile to HSP/HSF and heard low quality audio. Changing back to A2DP resulted in silence. I toggled between the two profiles a few times and the issue persisted. I then powered off/on once again, and this time I was able to properly select the A2DP profile and hear perfect audio! So, the connection issue seems to be fixed (for me, atleast)! There seems to be something that is a little bit strange with the audio profile selection, although there may be some user error involved here. I'll try and repeat my power cycling tests a few more times and see if the issue is a software problem or a user problem. Thanks for looking into this! -Jason -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574324 Title: pulseaudio crashes when connecting to bluetooth headphones (due to ubuntu changes?)
