I believe you are referring to the 2.12.x branch of gnutls. [Bug 1573454] Re: Mouse pointer disappear after suspend in Xubuntu 16.04
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1568604 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568604 I literally just got this Oryx Pro from System 76 yesterday and ran into this. However, in my case, the cursor did not disappear immediately after resuming from sleep, but about an hour later. I had just been forced to type my password into a dialog to enable SSH access to my key for github for the first time, and it was at that point the cursor disappeared. There were also a number of strange visual artifacts that appeared, particularly when navigating across workspaces. Various parts of my windows became semi-translucent, particularly the title bar (I could see my wallpaper through it). Restarting fixed it, but I'll try the ctrl-alt-F1 and ctrl-alt-F7 thing next time. Anyone ever get the impression that desktop Linux simply isn't ready for prime time? A new laptop should have so many issues (wifi not working, cursors disappearing, lockscreen breaking). [Bug 1635510] [NEW] b comes before t in the alphabet, breaks inotify
Public bug reported: I'm happy to see that the KDE team understands that a modern desktop computer needs at least 524288 inotify watches for that feature to work properly. Unfortunately, this is rendered useless for users who have both tracker and kde-runtime installed. Because the orders of the letters in the alphabet, sysctl.d/30-tracker.conf comes after sysctl.d/30-baloo-inotify- limit.conf and cancels your wise decision to set the number of watches to a sane value. I suggest you rename the file to 31-baloo-inotify-limit.conf that way even if the Tracker team renames the project to Zzracker, you'd still take over their settings. (I've also reported the bug against the Tracker package in #1635508 but 2 chances of having the problem solved are better than one) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.10 Package: kde-runtime 4:16.04.3-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.8.0-22.24-generic 4.8.0 Uname: Linux 4.8.0-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.3-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Thu Oct 20 20:51:44 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-05-15 (525 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Beta amd64 (20150326) SourcePackage: kde-runtime UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to yakkety on 2016-10-19 (1 days ago) ** Affects: kde-runtime (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug yakkety -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1635510 Title: b comes before t in the alphabet, breaks inotify To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kde-runtime/+bug/1635510/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1553563] Re: bconsole to Bacula Director fails with authorization problem message
Yes Roberto, as the Bacula project manager, I find this Ubuntu "bug" quite frustrating. The problem is three fold: 1. Ubuntu builds Bacula with flags that are not recommended by the Bacula project. 2. Ubuntu (at least for Bacula) does not (or did not) test the packages that are build. 3. Once the LTS is made, Ubuntu, at least to me, seems *very* slow at fixing problems and releasing the fixes to the LTS. The Bacula project will, in the next few months, distribute its own binaries, which are tested prior to release. For those of you who decide to switch to using the project binaries, this kind of problem will then be resolved. The main issue in that case will be for the Bacula project to provide packages for new distro releases in a reasonable time. Maybe the solution is to go back to the good old days of building with static libraries -- i.e. to build binaries that are self contained and will thus run on virtually all versions of a give distro (or even multiple distros). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1553563 Title: bconsole to Bacula Director fails with authorization problem message To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bacula/+bug/1553563/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1635508] [NEW] Tracker sets number of inotify watches to a ridiculously low number
Public bug reported: I have been trying to get Ubuntu to ship with a sane amount of inotify watches for the past few years and so far there hasn't been any progress made with that. I've noticed that Tracker increases the number of watches which is a very good thing! Unfortunately, this number is way too low to be useful on any modern desktop computer. The current limit set by tracker is set to 65536 which is somewhat an improvement over the useless 8192 default but to be useful, and not show false error messages about full disk drives, inotify needs at least 524288 watches or better 1048576 (which is the value used by the InSync client). The sad thing is, when kde-runtime is installed the 30-baloo-inotify- limit.conf file sets the value to 524288 but unfortunately, 't' comes after 'b' in the alphabet hence tracker overrides that nice and sane value to one that will confuse pretty much any user with cryptic and false messages about full hard drives. (WD=-1, Errno=No space left on device (ENOSPC)) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.10 Package: tracker-miner-fs 1.10.0-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.8.0-22.24-generic 4.8.0 Uname: Linux 4.8.0-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.3-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Thu Oct 20 20:35:38 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-05-15 (525 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Beta amd64 (20150326) SourcePackage: tracker UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to yakkety on 2016-10-19 (1 days ago) ** Affects: tracker (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug yakkety -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1635508 Title: Tracker sets number of inotify watches to a ridiculously low number To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tracker/+bug/1635508/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1612293] Re: [1.9] eth0 tried to get a DHCP IP, no matter what
Hi, I've moved this from cloud-init to curtin, and marked 'fix-released'. I believe that it was fixed in curtin at http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~curtin-dev/curtin/trunk/revision/421?start_revid=421 Basically, installs using curtin will now delete that file from the installed image. If this is still a problem for you with a curtin in xenial or newer, please re-open. If you're using curtin on trusty, then you'll need an SRU of curtin version > 421. ** Package changed: cloud-init (Ubuntu) => curtin (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: curtin (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1612293 Title: [1.9] eth0 tried to get a DHCP IP, no matter what To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1612293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1527341] Re: euca-bundle-image does not support ppc64le arch
So, a quick look shows a.) Ubuntu does not have a delta on this package b.) bug if fixed in upstream release 3.3.1 c.) debian has merged upstream tag 3.3.1 in its githttps://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-eucalyptus/euca2ools.git So we can 1.) grab this patch from upstream, gain an ubuntu delta, that can likely be dropped with the next debian upload 2.) ask debian to release 3.3.1 and sync from them. I went ahead and opened debian bug 841480 (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=841480) requesting a release in debian. [Bug 1579034] Re: installs smbclient.ini to wrong directory when used with php 7
** Description changed: + [Impact] + + * php-smbclient installs its .ini file in a non-standard location and + thus will not be available to the PHP7.0 core. + + + [Test Case] + + * Install php-smbclient, see if the smbclient.ini file is in /etc/php + /mods-available/ (incorrect) or /etc/php/7.0/mods-available/ (correct). + + [Regresion Potential] + + * The primary chance for regression is if a user edited /etc/php/mods- + available/smbclient.ini but didn't realize the file was still being + used. In that case, dpkg will notice the obsolete conffile is modified + and save it as /etc/php/mods-available/smbclient.ini.dpkg-bak and the + user can copy the contents to the correct location (which will be + created from the package defaults). I believe this is fairly unlikely + and has a clear workaround. + + * If a user manually copied the ini file to the correct location, and + edited it, the rebuilt package should not modify it. + + -- + Hello. I have php 7.0 installed. I installed php-smbclient but it gives an error that /etc/php/7.0/mods-available/smbclient.ini is missing. It turns out that the php-smbclient package installs the file in /etc/php/mods-available/smbclient.ini. [Bug 1632397] Re: Juju Commissioning fails with DataSourceMAAS.py[CRITICAL]:
