[Bug 1585382] Re: test_internal_fs_allowed crashes with SIGABRT

2016-12-02 Thread Martin Pitt
http://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/packages/udisks2/zesty/i386 now has two
failures with core dumps. I extracted the stack trace from the topmost
one.

This one is interesting:

f = Frame 0xb662ccec, for file src/tests/test_polkitd.py, line
184, in spawn (allowed_actions=['org.freedesktop.udisks2.modify-device-
system', 'org.freedesktop.udisks2.modify-device'], on_bus=None,
pid=18994, bus=, _signal_sender_matches={},
_dbus_Connection_initialized=1,
_bus_names=) at remote 0xb634683c>, timeout=49)

that suggests it hits this code path in src/tests/test_polkitd.py:

for timeout in range(50):
try:
p = dbus.Interface(bus.get_object('org.freedesktop.DBus',
'/org/freedesktop/DBus'),

'org.freedesktop.DBus').GetConnectionUnixProcessID(

bus.get_name_owner('org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1'))
except dbus.exceptions.DBusException:
continue
if p == pid:
break
time.sleep(0.1)
else:
sys.stderr.write('test polkitd failed to start up\n')
os.abort()

i. e. it timed out waiting for the mocked polkit to appear on the bus.

[Bug 1646434] Re: no update

2016-12-02 Thread Paul White
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read "How to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.

At a minimum, we need:

1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem.
2. The behavior you expected.
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Thanks!

[Bug 1003854] Re: Database upgrade/migration fails with nested db directories (lucid to precise)

2016-12-02 Thread Andre Becker
Hi Dave, thx for your reply!
for testing purposes i took a machine with an ubuntu 12.04 and installed the
slapd
exactly like in my productive system. Then i made a do-release-upgrade and the
same error occurred.
I done the slapcat from the productive server for all 3 LDAP-DBs and putted all
3 *.ldifs into the testmachine with slapadd and everything looks fine after
starting the slapd.
I checked the state of the slapd package with dpkg -l and it looked normal
("ii")

So, is it necessary to do the patch in that case?
Where do i find the patch (if necessary at all)?

Did you took the whole LDAP-directories (/var/lib/ldap and /etc/ldap)
instead of the slapcat / slapadd process?

[Bug 798414] Re: update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough free space

2016-12-02 Thread Jarno Suni
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: initramfs-tools

  When generating a new initramfs there is no check for available free
  space, subsequently its possible for update-initramfs to fail due to a
  lack of free space. This is resulting in package installation failures
  for initramfs-tools.  For example:

  Setting up initramfs-tools (0.98.8ubuntu3) ...
  update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated)
  Processing triggers for initramfs-tools ...
  update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.38-8-generic

  gzip: stdout: No space left on device
  E: mkinitramfs failure cpio 141 gzip 1
  update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-2.6.38-8-generic
  dpkg: error processing initramfs-tools (--configure):
   subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

  WORKAROUND:

  Remove unused kernels using computer janitor (not in repositories for
  14.04 or later) or manually free space on your partition containing the
  /boot file system.

[Bug 1540406] Re: warning: file-aligned section .text extends beyond end of file

2016-12-02 Thread Niklas Sombert
Just got this warning when installing linux-signed-
image-4.4.0-51.72-generic:

warning: file-aligned section .text extends beyond end of file
warning: checksum areas are greater than image size. Invalid section table?

And the new kernel won't boot.

The old one still works.

[Bug 1644175] Re: create project command mentioned in Installation guide for Newton throwing error

2016-12-02 Thread Kanika Singh
According to me, It can be feasible to just add a note somewhere stating
that --domain attribute is available with v3 version of keystone.
