[Bug 1650899] Re: ubuntu-bug linux - BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000248

2016-12-19 Thread Arnold
I installed the python apport script and ran it.
Al I see is an automated login to Launchpad and the message:

Authorize application to access Launchpad on your behalf
  Almost finished ...

The LinuxMint computer called Zeno now has access to your Launchpad account.
Within a few seconds, you should be able to start using its Launchpad
integration features.

See all applications authorized to access Launchpad on your behalf.

  Authorized applications

These applications have been authorized to access Launchpad on your behalf.
If you revoke an authorization, that application will not be allowed to do
anything in Launchpad on your behalf.
  Claimed tokens:

  Application name: System-wide: LinuxMint (Zeno)

Authorized, 18 seconds ago, to integrate an entire system

But I saw no results, no logfile. So eventually I revoked it.

[Bug 378783] Re: xdg-open *.desktop opens text editor

2016-12-19 Thread Stu
This is still a bug in December 2016.

Tested in Gnome on 16.04.

Commercial programmes and Wine programmes install .desktop files. And
they just end up opening gedit.

I've noticed this bug for years but only reported it now.

[Bug 1342175] Re: [upstream] Poor performance with find & replace with empty value on large data set

2016-12-19 Thread Seyeong Kim
erm..

you said 5.1.5.2 is not working.

I would suggest to test upstream latest one first. ( need to be built )

you can choose 5.x higher version then you tested(5.1.5.2)
you can choose 4.x version if it's working. ( official libreoffice with normal
ubuntu trust, xenial.. etc )

if all version is not working. it needs to be fixed in upstream first.
then report to libreoffice.

if you can find some version among them. state here then it would be
starting point for debugging

e.g
install ubuntu trusty, xenial on your vm and test
install sourcecode from libreoffice.org and build and test

if you don't have enough time or don't know exactly how to build it.

you can ask via irc channel.

please refer libreoffice.org

[Bug 1463422] Re: [Lenovo IdeaCentre A740] Doesn't poweroff on shutdown

2016-12-19 Thread Kevin Brubeck Unhammer
Hm, I'm currently using 4.7.0-040700rc5-generic on 16.04 with

$ grep acp /etc/default/grub
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="noprompt persistent acpi=noirq"

and have fully working boot, reboot, poweroff (on the Lenovo A740, not
A540).

(For wifi, I use https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723au dkms).

nielks, could you try a newer kernel, e.g. 4.7.0-040700rc5-generic ? If the
same kernel doesn't work, maybe A540 has a different issue regarding poweroff.

I was unable to locate it. Testing I will do, no problem, but could you
please point me in the right direction for the version to test?

Thanks once again.

By "upstream", I meant Debian. I'm not aware of a separate bug tag for
that. What should I be using instead of needs-upstream-report when it
needs to go to the Debian BTS?

[Bug 1646801] Re: [arm64] kvm run failed Function not implemented

2016-12-19 Thread Junien Fridrick
This is highly correlated with pause-on-start. I can't say 100% because
I haven't look at kern.log for all the Paused instances (and I'm not
sure I can correlate this easily now), but every time I looked it was
there.

And it's definitely not there during normal startups.

[Bug 1637223] Re: Update to newer version of docker-compose >= 1.6

2016-12-19 Thread Frank Heimes
Current Docker package from xenial (docker.io 1.12.1) does not work with
docker-compose 1.5.2 anymore. It requires docker-compose 1.6, that again
requires an updated version of python-docker.

Suggestion is to make the python-docker (1.9.0) and docker-compose
(1.8.0) from Zesty available in Xenial.

This combination of docker.io (1.12.1), python-docker (1.9.0) and
docker-compose (1.8.0) will play together again.

2016-12-19 Thread Seyeong Kim
Hello nair-ks.

I've been busy and had PTO.

and I can't focus this issue deeply because I'm busy.

I think you need to help this issue.

Please test various version and upstream one.

and report to upstream bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ as well.

there could be someone who can help you.

I'll try to test upstream but.. I can't guarantee this.

Thanks.
