[Bug 1570749] Re: Upgrade to 11.7 from May 2016
Yakkety and Xenial have already been released. Packages do not get updated after release. Specific critcal bugs can be fixed through the Stable Release Updates (SRU) process. I'm glad to see some activity on this report, however I'm afraid it will be difficult to investigate further, because I installed a fresh 16.04 since then. [Bug 1651944] Re: Kernel panic when we call pipework to setup virtual network for docker containers
Ignore the request to test the upstream kernel, for the moment. In this case the apparmor code that is in the trace does not exist upstream. Instead could you test the kernel in http://people.canonical.com/~jj/lp1648143/ While listed as being for bug 1648143, it contains several fixes including a fix to the bind mount code. That will be pushed up to the ubuntu kernel this week. i can confirm i'm seeing identical symptoms on the same hardware: 1. When booted without the dock connected, connecting the dock only allows USB and Ethernet to work, it does not support HDMI or DisplayPort monitors. Re-seating the dock from here does not stop USB and Ethernet from working. 2. [Bug 1653739] [NEW] budgie-desktop needs to display the nm-applet icon in the panel
Public bug reported: v10.2.9-2 has been recently sync'd via Debian. The nm-applet no longer displays in the panel. This is because Ubuntu has a specific patch to nm-applet that assumes app-indicators is the default display mechanism not the X11 tray icon. Thus Ubuntu Budgie needs a specific ubuntu only patch to run nm-applet with the parameter --no-indicator Note - whilst we do support appindicators - our appindicator deliberately hides nm-applet because we follow upstream plans which include a separate network-manager applet built specifically for budgie- desktop. Thus we don't want future complications of both the app- indicator and the separate applet both displaying the same info. Additionally - those that install budgie-desktop without the appindicator package will also need to see and use the nm-applet functionality. ** Affects: budgie-desktop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: fossfreedom (fossfreedom) Status: In Progress ** Changed in: budgie-desktop (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: budgie-desktop (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => fossfreedom (fossfreedom) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1653739 Title: budgie-desktop needs to display the nm-applet icon in the panel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/budgie-desktop/+bug/1653739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1653687] Re: No sound after some time
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1653687/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1542733] Re: Connect to Hidden Wi-Fi Network, "Connect" grayed out
A tooltip in this dialog says that the connection is invalid (either password or connection) on the connect button. History: I have booted from a 16.04.1 LTS Live CD and tried to connect to WLAN in order to save some data before installing. In my case I typed a wrong password (due to wrong keybord layout). Then the network-manager asked me to enter the password again (I corrected it, but it was actually not saved despite of clicking on save -> this is a second bug?) Problem: Manually connecting to a hidden network brings up the dialog, but the dialog does not allow me to edit the password and editing in the connection view and trying again as suggested by the tooltip does not enable the connect button in this dialog. Thus I was able to view and correct the password in the connection dialog, but I am still unable to connect. even trying a "/etc/init.d/network-manager restart" at the command line didn't connect to WLAN. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1542733 Title: Connect to Hidden Wi-Fi Network, "Connect" grayed out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/network-manager-applet/+bug/1542733/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
