[Bug 1657594] Re: Recent MySQL vulnerabilities partially applies to MariaDB too
The 10.0 series updates for 16.04 and 16.10 are now available. Please use git-buildpackage to fetch and build from the ubuntu-16.04 and ubuntu-16.10 branches at http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg- mysql/mariadb-10.0.git The repository uses pristine-tar, so there is no need to separately download the sources. You can just check the signature/SHA1SUM directly from the git-buildpackage generated tarball. Test builds and testsuite passed on all platforms at https://launchpad.net/~mysql- ubuntu/+archive/ubuntu/mariadb-10.0/+builds?build_text=&build_state=all for Yakkety. I was unable to run test builds for Xenial because the repo ran out of space and there is nothing suitable to delete to free some space. My request for more space at https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/440393 has not been answered yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1657594 Title: Recent MySQL vulnerabilities partially applies to MariaDB too To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mariadb-10.0/+bug/1657594/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1657662] [NEW] Error reported after grub installation failure dialog
Public bug reported: Complicated md/lvm/dm-crypt setup. Grub failed to install due to lack of bios_grub FAT32 partition. Space was reserved but didn't know it was required for non-EFI system using GPT drive label. Used gparted to format and set required flag on partition then chrooted into /target and grub-install to fix it. Returned to grub failure dialog. OK disabled for everything until a different partition selected. Then chose to continue without bootloader since I had manually installed it from chroot. Error dialog displayed and apport submitted it. Hey, Thanks for the report. I will mark it as "needs information" because I need a follow up from your side. Once I get the log files I ask about below I will change the status to further. - what kind of Ubuntu version is installed on the Linux computer that works just wine with your headset? Also, could you capture a somewhat more verbose logs. I would love to see at least a HCI trace. You can capture it with sudo btmon --write ~/hcitrace.snoop. Just start it and then try to pair with your headset. Also please do not make the test case really long so that it is easier to understand the output :) Finally please read also https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingBluetooth to understand how different logs for BT debugging can be captured. Hi Theodore, The write_xattrs_to_buffer is already doing other modifications to the xattrs, like sorting keys. (look for qsort). The changes I made are a logical extension to that. Further refinement might need a larger bunch of changes. I don't have the bandwidth for this now unfortunately. Saving ACLs with mke2fs is completely broken now. This patch fixes the problem and I think it will be useful to merge this in so that others can benefit this. [Bug 1657646] [NEW] ISST-LTE:pVM:bamlp4:Ubuntu16.04.02VM:Docker:Docker is not coming up after system reboot
Public bug reported: I had configured thin-pool storage driver for docker on one of the PowerVM lapr. And had created containers. These containers were running STAF tests. I had to reboot the partition. After reboot, i see the docker daemon failed to come up. Below are the details, Steps - 1. Instal 16.04.02 on a vm partition. 2. Install docker.io 3. Configure a thin-pool storage driver for docker daemon. 4. Create some sample containers. 5. Reboot the vm partition. Docker daemon fails to come up. [Bug 1632165] Re: modesetting driver unbearably slow on intel graphics
I saw your reference to the log from #2 and took a deeper look at it, and saw this line: [ 76855.829] (**) modeset(0): Option "AccelMethod" "glamor" In my xorg.conf, I had Option "AccelMethod" "None" and hadn't thought too hard about it because graphical acceleration worked with it set to "None" and using the 'intel' driver. However, with the driver set as 'intel', I started getting text corruption after suspend and resume across multiple applications, so I was still looking for answers. I believe there's a bug elsewhere on launchpad I need to follow up with about that. So, I probably shouldn't have been surprised that I didn't have acceleration under the 'modesetting' driver with "AccelMethod" "None". I switched it to "glamor", and now my Xorg.0.log looks rather more like the log in #2, and graphical acceleration appears to be working for me. I did observe flickering at startup on the desktop, though I haven't seen it elsewhere yet. [Bug 1026046] Re: Missing support for thumb resting on bottom of clickpad
jorgens, thanks so much for reporting that! With that information I found that I only had to copy a single file in Debian (stretch/sid) to make the touchpad work flawlessly (using libinput instead of synaptics): cp /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-libinput.conf Voila, after restarting X libinput is used for the touchpad and I can now drag, middle-click and rest my palm on there and it works!!! [Bug 1655565] Re: ttf-mscorefonts-installer fails to download fonts
Sigh. Your first two downloads worked though, the third one failed. You should report this on bug 1651923, Julian Klode might be able to help. The error message you get now, "Protocol http not supported or disabled in libcurl", is symptomatic of the same bug 1607535/1651923 I suggested as a duplicate, just like the error "404 Not Found". The error message depends on the contacted mirror. In particular, see Elvis Stansvik's comment 25 in bug 1651923: he got the same error message as you from the vorboss.dl.sourceforge.net mirror even after he upgraded apt-transport-https to 1.2.19. You can use apt-helper for tests instead of reinstalling ttf- mscorefonts-installer over and over again (line breaks for readability only): $ /usr/lib/apt/apt-helper [-o debug::acquire::https=1 -o debug::acquire::http=1] download-file http://downloads.sourceforge.net/corefonts/andale32.exe test.exe OR "https://people.debian.org/~jak/a b/c" test.exe The optional part is for debug output. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1655565 Title: ttf-mscorefonts-installer fails to download fonts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/msttcorefonts/+bug/1655565/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1649086] Re: W: Invalid 'Date' entry in Release file /var/lib/apt/lists/developer.download.nvidia.com_compute_cuda_repos_ubuntu1604_x86%5f64_Release
The solution is to tell the owners of the respective repositories to fix their Release file(s). The Date (and Valid-Until) field MUST be in UTC (aka GMT, Z, +). Earlier apt versions accepted other timezones silently, but parsed it as UTC anyhow which could cause all kinds of fun. Now a /warning/ is generated – a user can work with the repository as before. As the content of that field is only of use for applications and apt isn't a fullblown calendar-application we decided to not implement all the craziness which is time. All hints for creating repositories which apt (and other clients and servers) can work with: https://wiki.debian.org/RepositoryFormat So, as this isn't a bug: Closing as invalid. ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1649086 Title: W: Invalid 'Date' entry in Release file /var/lib/apt/lists/developer.download.nvidia.com_compute_cuda_repos_ubuntu1604_x86%5f64_Release To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1649086/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1521403] Re: Unity8 crashes with SIGSEGV in Screen::makeCurrent (./src/platforms/mirserver/screen.cpp:406)
Yeah, sorry I was meaning to tell you but never caught you on IRC... I noticed Xmir does modify the display config, but only to implement DPMS. That's legacy code from the days when Xmir was full screen. Although full screen mode is also the default mode. So I'm wondering if we need to make the behaviour conditional rather than delete the feature. It should be disabled in windowed and rootless modes... It is actually valid for apps to be able to change the power mode of the display. mirout in Mir 0.26.0 has such an option. But I agree it's bad for apps to do it unexpectedly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1521403 Title: Unity8 crashes on suspend/standby with SIGSEGV in Screen::makeCurrent (./src/platforms/mirserver/screen.cpp:406) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1521403/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1607666] Missing SRU information
Thanks for uploading the fix for this bug report to -proposed. However, when reviewing the package in -proposed and the details of this bug report I noticed that the bug description is missing information required for the SRU process. You can find full details at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure but essentially this bug is missing some of the following: a statement of impact, a test case and details regarding the regression potential. Hello bugproxy, or anyone else affected, Accepted powerpc-utils into xenial-proposed.
