[Bug 1710424] Re: Apply some patches to codeblocks to make it less crash
Debian maintainer here, thanks for providing patches for wx3.x compatibility! I'll apply those patches to the codeblocks package in my next upload. Incidentally, do you have patches to fix build failures with gcc 7 / does svn trunk build with gcc 7? https://bugs.debian.org/853349 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #853349 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=853349 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710424 Title: Apply some patches to codeblocks to make it less crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/codeblocks/+bug/1710424/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 1708922] Re: uvcvideo module does not work with Dell XPS 12 webcam
I researched the issue some time ago. My webcam and several others like HP are affected by a faulty driver for this webcam, which should be the kernel uvcvideo module. This is the reason why it happens in several progs, like guvcview and cheese. vlc does it's own thing and does not rely on the kernel driver. This is the reason why it's unaffected. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your hardware. Fedora 27 (due ~November) is actually bundling webkit1 inside the gnucash packaging. There will be a beta version of gnucash ported to gtk3 available later this year. Hard to say whether it's better to offer a beta or just remove it entirely. The other hard one is empathy. It has been ported to webkit2 in git, but nobody at GNOME cares enough or has enough confidence in it to release a new version from git master. Fedora might handle this one. monodevelop may be useful to some people but I don't think Mono ever got around to releasing a stable gtk3 version of Mono. Public bug reported: Other desktop systems including Microsoft Windows and Unity have accelerator keys in the window menu. This is typically accessible via ALT_Space on any window, then pressing a key to initiate the desired function. Typically Alt_Space can be used to bring up the menu, then use x to maximise a window, n to minimise a window, etc. GNOME Shell does not implement these accelerator keys, which seems inconsistent with other desktops, and internally inconsistent, as other menus in GNOME applications _do_ have accelerator keys. It would be great for people coming to GNOME Shell should be able to use the familiar keyboard shortcuts they're used to. As far as I can test (as far back as 16.04) this has always been the case. [Bug 1574120] Re: Notebook doesn't suspend when lid is closed after update to 16.04
Looks like I misspoke, adding "HandleLidSwitchDocked=suspend" didn't work. [Bug 1710392] [NEW] Additional initializer needed to recognize trackpad on Lenovo Yoga 720 laptop
Public bug reported: There's just a 1 line patch required, to add an initializer to array of structs scanned to match up the device ID with driver. The PR is here: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/pull/444#discussion_r131229815 I've applied the patch and created and booted from a custom kernel and it works great. The laptop is wonderful running Ubuntu: I7 7700HQ, 16G RAM, 500G SSD, 4K touch screen, decent I/O ports. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710392 Title: Additional initializer needed to recognize trackpad on Lenovo Yoga 720 laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1710392/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
