[Bug 991471] Re: multi-device btrfs filesystem automatically mounted once for each device
Interestingly enough, one of my trusty computers apparently does not exhibit this behaviour, even though udisks2 is installed. Partitions get mounted via udisks2, too. Unfortunately, the problem seems to have gotten much worse in the latest development release. Whereas previously, each btrfs device of the btrfs FS would be mounted once, it seems that in artful, one new mount happens every few minutes. I came back to over 20 mounts on a three-device btrfs FS after a few hours. This was on a very recent live CD. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991471 Title: multi-device btrfs filesystem automatically mounted once for each device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/btrfs/+bug/991471/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1711241] Re: Unity support patch doesn't build with nautilus 3.25.90
The crash comes from 0002-Only-use-a-header-bar-in-GNOME-shell.patch so I disabled that patch since it wasn't clear to me what isn't working after rebasing on 3.25. [Bug 1712042] [NEW] Feature Request: Bottom Hot Corner to open Show Applications
Public bug reported: Hot Corners are disabled by default as of today's Ubuntu 17.10 build. To enable them, run this from a terminal: gsettings set org.gnome.shell enable-hot-corners true There is a top hot corner to open the Activities Overview. I think it makes sense to balance that by adding a bottom hot corner to open Show Applications. Other Info === You could even add a 3rd hot corner in the top right to open the system status menu but that may actually be really annoying with the window management buttons (minimize, maximize, close) there. The gnome-shell patch is named "enable-hot-corners" implying that GNOME itself plans to make use of other corners? or is that just for multi- monitor? It might be worth asking GNOME what their current future intentions are for that. ** Affects: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1712042 Title: Feature Request: Bottom Hot Corner to open Show Applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock/+bug/1712042/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1712039] [NEW] AppArmor profile misses entry for /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/mimeinfo.cache

[Bug 1703365] Re: /usr/bin/update-manager:AttributeError::on_settings_button_clicked:show_settings
the patch seems too much, software-properties-gtk works fine under wayland it's just show_settings() in UpdateManager.py which creates the issue cmd = ["/usr/bin/software-properties-gtk", "--open-tab", "2", "--toplevel", "%s" % self.get_window().get_xid() the get_xid() is an x11 specific call, a better workaround would be to just not add the toplevel argument when used under wayland -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1703365 Title: /usr/bin/update- manager:AttributeError::on_settings_button_clicked:show_settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1703365/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1712030] [NEW] PXE initrd does not support most of initramfs-tools kernel parameters
Public bug reported: When trying to debug PXE UEFI boot on Ubuntu Zesty, I have found that initrd provided with ISO at /install/netboot/ubuntu-installer/amd64/initrd.gz does not support kernel parameters like debug, break (all cases). In addition when repacked with additional kernel modules, they are not autoloaded when /etc/modules or /etc/modules-load.d/modules.conf is in use. The problem I'm hitting is that instance.host is not updated when the compute driver is called to spawn the instance on the destination host. It is still set to the source host. It's not until after the spawn completes that the compute manager updates instance.host to reflect the destination host. The nova-powervm driver uses instance events callback mechanism during plug VIF to determine when Neutron has finished provisioning the network. The instance events code sends the event to instance.host and hence is sending the event to the source host (which is down). This causes the spawn to fail and also causes weirdness when the source host gets the events when it's powered back up. To temporarily work around the problem, I hacked in setting instance.host = CONF.host; instance.save() in the compute driver but that's not a good solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1535918 Title: instance.host not updated on evacuation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/1535918/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1704459] Re: rebuild needed because dependency changed location of exported libmpi.so library
please reject proj, the issue is that pcl needs an explicit dependency, because vtk6 lost the direct one for the -dev package. The really nice fix would have been to cherry-pick the vtk6 revert to use the internal proj library, but this is unfeasible since it is an ABI change. (see debian bug: #819741) now, the smartest solution I could think is to add libproj-dev to pcl dependencies, even if this might result in an ABI break too. https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu/locutusofborg-ppa/+packages please test this package and specially pcl reverse-dependencies in xenial with this updated version fixing vtk6 will require checks/rebuilds of ~10 reverse-dependencies (many of them might have been already built with the old vtk with embedded proj, so no change for them), while fixing pcl means only one reverse-dependency to check/fix "ros-pcl-conversions" so at the end, please test, and in case you agree with my analysis, reject proj and accept pcl ** Changed in: pcl (Ubuntu Artful) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1704459 Title: rebuild needed because dependency changed location of exported libmpi.so library To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcl/+bug/1704459/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I think the correct fix is for all docks and shells to implement _NET_WORKAREA: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/wm-spec-1.3.html#idm140130317674416 Unfortunately that's an X11-only thing. nautilus-desktop certainly relies on it being an X11 app, but if your dock is native Wayland then we might have trouble fixing this because a native Wayland app would have to make X11 calls to tell nautilus-desktop about the _NET_WORKAREA. ** Also affects: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - Desktop icons slip under the top bar after logging in + Desktop icons slip under the top bar and dock after logging in -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1696621 Title: Desktop icons slip under the top bar and dock after logging in To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1696621/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1712005] Re: External displays blank, kernel errors from i915/drm driver
Continued the battle for additional 1.5 hours. I verified that both displays work fine when connected directly to the laptop (1 DP) without the HP ultraslim docking station (2 DPs) between. After powering off the docking station and rebooting the system for Nth time, I finally got the pictures back. It's worth noting that the password prompt for disk decryption was not shown on external displays, nor the booting sequence. X11 login prompt was the first image. It seems this was somehow affected by the docking station. Resolved for now, but the ultimate cause stays unknown. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1712005 Title: External displays blank, kernel errors from i915/drm driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1712005/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1693609] Re: Please make window control buttons larger
It's not just about touchscreens. Even using a mouse it takes slightly longer to get the cursor exactly on the smaller icons. And with touchpads this is also a bigger problem in 17.10 than previous releases... Because the switch to libinput means (for many people) lower touchpad precision. So it's even harder to get the cursor onto the small window buttons. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1693609 Title: Please make window control buttons larger To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1693609/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
