[Bug 1677777] Re: Missing dep8 tests
I infer that this bug was filed because cobbler-enlist is marked as a package the Ubuntu Server team is subscribed to. However: - cobbler-enlist is not in main in any supported release. - it has not been uploaded to the archive since 2011. - it is an Ubuntu native package for interfacing with cobbler, which is no longer part of the Ubuntu Server platform. - it is blocking the update of xmlrpc-c, because Debian has dropped the udeb for that library, which cobbler-enlist-udeb depends on. I am therefore going to go ahead and repurpose this bug report as a removal bug, and remove cobbler-enlist from bionic. ** Summary changed: - Missing dep8 tests + RM: cobbler-enlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/167 Title: RM: cobbler-enlist To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cobbler-enlist/+bug/167/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1733776] [NEW] Request to display the package name along with the synopsis
Public bug reported: Update manager shows only the synopsis when prompting to update a package, without including the package name. For example: "Educational games for small children". ...I have 10 packages installed with games for children. Why doesn't update-manager just tell me that this is gcompris? The matter gets worse if you take into account description translations. Or, "interactive high-level object-oriented language (default version)". Eh, I have 10 languages installed, just concatenate the package name, e.g. "python: interactive high-level object-oriented language (default version)" so that people know what they're updating! Yes, it's possible to select a package, and then expand the technical description, and finally you get to see the package name in the changelog, but that doesn't help much when you need to do that for 30 packages. [Bug 1733591] Re: new kopanocore fails in autopkgtest in i386 (fails to start at all actually)
I'm attaching a debdiff including the results of my own investigations into the failing autopkgtests. This gets a lot farther than before, but: - on s390x 'kopano-admin -l' fails with an error because there is an endianness bug in kopanocore: Wed Nov 22 04:45:22 2017: [warning] Object not found unknown user "匀夀匀吀䔀": 匀夀匀吀䔀 That string is: $ echo '匀夀匀吀䔀' | iconv -f utf8 -t ucs-2le SYSTE $ and that's not a regression so is ignorable. - on arm64 and ppc64el, kopano-dagent exits 75 instead of 0. I don't know if this is the reason, but I see the following denial in dmesg: [ 567.593536] audit: type=1400 audit(1511327924.317:69): apparmor="DENIED" operation="mknod" profile="/usr/sbin/kopano-dagent" name="/usr/share/kopano-dagent/python/wraplogger.pyc" pid=9977 comm ="kopano-dagent" requested_mask="c" denied_mask="c" fsuid=0 ouid=0 creating a .pyc file with mknod() is obviously crazy. I don't know whose bug this is. aa-disable /usr/sbin/kopano-dagent lets the testsuite finish, so this evidently is the cause of the kopano-dagent failure. Since this is a regression on ppc64el, and I didn't get to the bottom of it, I didn't bother testing on amd64/i386. ** Patch added: "kopanocore-partial-fixes.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kopanocore/+bug/1733591/+attachment/5012672/+files/kopanocore-partial-fixes.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1733591 Title: new kopanocore fails in autopkgtest in i386 (fails to start at all actually) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kopanocore/+bug/1733591/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1729337] Re: CIFS errors on 4.4.0-98, but not on 4.4.0-97 with same config
I've done further tests, and found that with kernels 3.13.0-128, 3.13.0-133, 3.13.0-134 and 3.13.0-135, mounting cifs folder using vers=3.0 (with no security mode manually set, ie: no option sec=ntlmsspi used) sometimes work and sometimes it doesn't, unfortunately I can't figure out what is causing this; if anyone has any ideas please let me know. It's so weird that sometimes after a fresh boot, I can see that the mount points from the fstab aren't mounted so if I do either sudo mount -a or sudo mount -o remount -a it sometimes crashes and sometimes it works and successfully mount the folders, see below example: # Fresh boot $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. [Bug 1716359] Re: Unplugging headset with audio panel open mutes internal mic
I'm sorry, we seem to be miscommunicating. It's great that you verified that the bug is fixed. That is, that the internal mic is muted if you unplug the headphones while the control centre is open. There were other concerns about the SRU though - specifically, that the following items *also* be tested: - Verifying that plugging/unplugging headphones does the correct thing. - Verifying that manually selecting a headphone actually switches the mic. - Checking that output sound works too. Were those verifications done, in addition to verifying that the bug cannot be reproduced? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1716359 Title: Unplugging headset with audio panel open mutes internal mic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1716359/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
