[Bug 1784023] Re: Update profiles for usrmerge
If https://wiki.debian.org/UsrMerge is what we follow here then the libvirt rules for: /sbin/* PUx and /bin/* PUx are ok, they already have /usr/bin/* and /usr/sbin/* present. (part of a very lenient profile I know) They are also not part of the Ubuntu Delta, so we can leave those rules as-is. More interesting are the lines in abstractions/libvirt-qemu Those are of a powerpc specific delta we carry and refer to just /bin at the moment. /bin/uname rmix, /bin/grep rmix, I guess if we'd convert those two on the next merge to /{usr/,}bin/uname rmix, /{usr/,}bin/grep rmix, we will be safe for the usr merge and still very backward compatible. I'll do that as part of the coming cosmic libvirt merge which is blocked by a few other things (so it will take a bit). But I'll call this packages task triaged and assign it to me. ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Christian Ehrhardt (paelzer) ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Tags added: libvirt-18.10 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784023 Title: Update profiles for usrmerge To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/1784023/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1784276] [NEW] Check xen / vbox incompatibility
Public bug reported: There is an issue that seems to hit people at very low frequency. Reason is using xen (seldom) while also having virtualbox installed (seldom as well). Together they both register a signal handler and break with an assert. See: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1060001/problems-starting-libvirt-daemon-in-ubunti-18-04 This is long known upstream: - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1278847 - https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2015-November/msg00366.html This is rather low on prio, but if we e.g. really will split connection drivers we might add a conflicts between xen / virtualbox just on xen connection drivers. ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784276 Title: Check xen / vbox incompatibility To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1784276/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1783952] Re: Xubuntu 16.04 L0 hypervisor kernel panics L1 CentOS 7.5.1804 guest
So I have now tested installing upstream kernel (4.18-rc6), which worked and made the procedure successful on 16.04. The system however became quite unstable as a whole and so I upgraded the system to 18.04 with it´s stock kernel 4.15-something, which also works. That means it´s definitely something wrong with 16.04 kernel and not something local to the system. /K ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1783952 Title: Xubuntu 16.04 L0 hypervisor kernel panics L1 CentOS 7.5.1804 guest To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1783952/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1784274] [NEW] Wrong exponential notation used in programming mode
Public bug reported: In programming mode the calculator is primarily used for doing integer operations. However integer results are shown in exponential notation and the result does NOT represent the correct integer! Example: - Calculate 2^40. - The result 1.099511628×10^12 is shown which is the integer 1099511628000 - However the correct result is 1099511627776, not 1099511628000 A possible change which might solve this: Change the selection: - Binary - Octal - Decimal - Hexadecimal To: - Binary - Octal - Scientific decimal - Programmer decimal - Hexadecimal "Scientific decimal" would behave like it does today. "Programmer decimal" would behave the same way as Binary, Octal and Hexadecimal and display integers like 2^40 as 1099511627776, not as 1.099511628x10^12 ** Affects: gnome-calculator (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784274 Title: Wrong exponential notation used in programming mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-calculator/+bug/1784274/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1781163] Re: okular has lost all functions on menus (not clickable)
I have found a simple fix at last. Set the compositor renderer to XRender by clicking your way through to the Compositer that sets it as follows: KDE Start button ==> Display and Monitor ==> Compositor Now set the rendering backend to anything BUT NOT THE DEFAULT: (OpenGL 3.1, GLX) and NOT (OpenGL 2, GLX). All the other settings work. (Xrender) and (OpenGL 3.1, EGL) (OpenGL 2, EGL) I still hope this bug is fixed in the upgrade release of 18.04 LTS which has been promised for late July 2018. [Bug 1775329] Re: Feature request: Add a handler for CVE URLs
The other option would be to do it "properly" the way upstream want - ie. to have the user be able to configure their one linkification. I am happy to rework the patch - is there any interest in carrying this just in Ubuntu or would the preference be to push it to Debian and get it into Ubuntu that way? Also do we know if Debian are interested - since I'd rather not rework the patch a lot unless there was a clear path to getting it into Debian first. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1775329 Title: Feature request: Add a handler for CVE URLs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1775329/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1781763] Re: HP ProBook 455 G5 needs mute-led-gpio fixup
** Description changed: + == Justification == + The audio mute LED does not work on HP ProBook 455 G5, James Buren found out this issue can be fixed by applying an existing cxt5066_fixups quirk. + + == Test == + After adding the ID to the patch_conexant.c, the audio mute LED works as expected. The reporter has also confirmed that this issue will gone with a patched test kernel. + + == Regression Potential == + Very low. + Just a small quick with ID specific to this laptop was added. + + -- + I noticed that the audio LEDs on this model's keyboard were not functioning. After a great deal of research, I found I needed to patch the kernel to apply an existing fixup for my particular model. I built a custom kernel to test it, and it does indeed fix my problem. [Bug 1784176] Re: Many bugs, most may be my fault
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem. 2. The behavior you expected. 3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 1783200] Re: [Lenovo Miix 310, Ubuntu 18.04] Audio no longer working
Great insight there about RLIMIT_RTTIME. It appears that yes indeed pulseaudio is unique in that it has a self- imposed RLIMIT_RTTIME of 20 microseconds. That is also configured in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf: ; rlimit-rttime = 20 Normal processes have no such limit. It appears you should sometimes get error messages in the pulseaudio log somewhere along the lines of: Soft CPU time limit exhausted, terminating. Hard CPU time limit exhausted, terminating forcibly. but certainly if the hard limit is exceeded quickly then you might see neither of those. Next... 1. Please send more system information by running: apport-collect 1783200 or by at least sending us the CPU model details, kernel version, and output from `lspci -k`. 2. Report a bug to PulseAudio here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=PulseAudio and tell us the new bug ID. ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1783200 Title: [Lenovo Miix 310, Ubuntu 18.04] Audio no longer working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1783200/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
