[Bug 1822767] Re: Desktop is flickering/out of focus
A little update I think what truly solved it was erasing the `.nvidia-settings-rc` file, and have NVIDIA X Server Settings regenerate it again. After resetting the everything related to Plasma, turns out my last resort was erasing that file. python-certbot (0.23.0-1~ubuntu16.04.1) xenial; urgency=medium [ Robie Basak ] * This update is part of the set of major updates moving Let's Encrypt/Certbot to version 0.23 in 16.04 in order to allow it to continue working following the general shutdown of TLS-SNI-01 validation (LP: #1640978). * This new source package takes over the function of the previous source package python-letsencrypt, with binary packages certbot, python-certbot and python-certbot-doc taking over respectively. * The following two functional changes are additionally made: - Log rotation is switched to logrotate via /etc/logrotate.d/certbot, and /etc/letsencrypt/cli.ini is introduced to disable internal log rotation to avoid collision. - Automatic renewal is enabled via the certbot.timer and certbot.service systemd units. [Bug 1825470] [NEW] systemd-networkd: Deconfigures bridge after last attached interface disconnects (ie: LXC)
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver An issue was reported to systemd-networkd on GitHub - https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/11650 - and all the thorough details are there. Using anonymous bridges (ie: not attached to physical NICs) is problematic with systemd-networkd as they get deconfigured as soon as the last attached device disconnects (ie: a LXC container). Static IP configuration must be done again manually. The root cause is that systemd-networkd assumes that every network interface have a carrier signal. There's no notion of carrier signal on anonymous bridges, a case not properly handled by systemd-networkd. The systemd dev team provided a patch to address the issue and it would be nice to be integrated on the Ubuntu package. The PR is here : https://github.com/systemd/systemd/commit/93b4dab57e2e13bd804cbee999241be65a443e2e To get the proper fix, you'll need to combine 2 patches : - The one from the PR above - Another patch [1] which fixes a segfault introduced by the PR. [1] https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/11741/commits/a294af6810df3c18909a96b556deadba0e2ab0a9 On my test environment, I rebuild the Ubuntu package with the 2 patches above from "237-3ubuntu10.17" to "237-3ubuntu10.20" and made thorough tests without hiting a single issue so I think we can assume that these 2 patches are safe to use. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1825470 Title: systemd-networkd: Deconfigures bridge after last attached interface disconnects (ie: LXC) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1825470/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1721909] Re: Goodix GF3208 (fingerprint reader) not being recognised by kernel/system
This is not a kernel bug. `lsusb` from usbutils package (bionic/cosmic/disco) only read name strings from usb.ids [1] files. Upstream has merged a PR [2] to fallback to kernel sysfs attributes, and with that the names will be correctly shown. [Bug 1825464] [NEW] New Upstream Release for Gnome Shell 3.32
Public bug reported: When upgrading from Cosmic Cuttlefish to Disco Dingo with the gnome- shell-extension-pomodoro installed in Cosmic, the extension is removed. This is due to a lack of Gnome Shell 3.32 support which Disco now uses. Two days ago, the author published a new version that supports Gnome Shell 3.32. I was able to successfully build it a few minutes ago for Disco, based off the Cuttlefish installation guide at https://gnomepomodoro.org/ See https://github.com/codito/gnome-pomodoro/issues/416 for more information on the issue. Including this new upstream release will ensure that the extension is still running once Cuttlefish users upgrade to Disco. Please let me know if this report might need to be pushed upstream to Debian to be packaged. [Bug 1824699] Re: gnome-calendar pango critical
I tried to add my hometown Dorsten to weather inside calendar again. When i enter Dorsten (this is in germany), the search does not find or offer my city. When i press enter, this setting is set. I checked in dconf editor, there was the default value org.gnome.calendar weather-settings (true, false, '', nothing) And now there is the value org.gnome.calendar weather-settings (true, false, 'Dorsten', nothing) So calendar weather accepted my town Dorsten and now crashes after that. When i enter for example Berlin, the search offers this city and calendar is fine. The problem is when cities are entered, that are not found in search -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1824699 Title: gnome-calendar pango critical To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-calendar/+bug/1824699/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

(In reply to Theo Linkspfeifer from comment #4) > I think it makes sense to fall back to the directory which contains the > currently active background image. Any reason why the user would change to a > different directory, but not select a new image? It is superfluous to select an image if you have selected the "change the background in" option. All you need is the directory and that option will regularly change the background using the images in that directory. If the random option is selected any image in the directory should be used first. If random is not selected then start with the first image in the directory. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1698743 Title: Directory/file selection not clear To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfdesktop/+bug/1698743/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1824743] Re: Fonts look bad after scaling display in Kubuntu Disco
Hi the same problem here. After I've installed the gtk3 package and removed both libreoffice-qt5 and libreoffice-kde5 the fonts seem to be OK but all of the icon packages are ugly, pixelated (even the *SVG* icons) This is one of the most important linux desktop software component but the UI looks much better and it is more useable on Windows 10. Why? In 2019 nobody uses lowDPI displays. HiDPI must be supported by all main applications. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1824743 Title: Fonts look bad after scaling display in Kubuntu Disco To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1824743/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1825402] Re: Regression. Recent updates to cosmic broke hybrid-sleep
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and help to improve Ubuntu. The most recent systemd update published to cosmic on 15Apr contains only changes to the network stack; this is unlikely to be the cause of a regression in systemctl hybrid-sleep. http://launchpadlibrarian.net/419387036/systemd_239-7ubuntu10.12_239-7ubuntu10.13.diff.gz When did you first experience this problem? With what version of systemd, and with what kernel version booted? Does downgrading to an earlier version of the systemd packages restore the previous behavior? Does booting to an earlier kernel restore the previous behavior? ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1825402 Title: Regression.
