Re: [Bug 1825587]
@Walter: I'm sure you don't need me to confirm, but, just to confirm, your instructions to "reload" the desktop folder does work to clean up the desktop of this non-existent file . . . easy enough to do. As I posted on the bug, I did try to run Alf's series of commands . . . and w/o something from "sources" the whole series of commands "E'd" out . . . . So perhaps some further work has to be done "upstream"??? He seems to be the guy who is part of the team that has responded to this bug . . . in a sense "non-critical" . . . but on the aesthetic level . . . "critical" . . . . [Bug 1826409] Re: [19.04] Input method (keyboard) not respected
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1826409/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1824430] Re: disco dist-upgrader tarball has a broken symlink in it
Hello Steve, or anyone else affected, Accepted ubuntu-release-upgrader into disco-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /ubuntu-release-upgrader/1:19.04.16.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from verification-needed-disco to verification-done-disco. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-disco. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping! N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days. ** Changed in: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu Disco) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed verification-needed-disco -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1824430 Title: disco dist-upgrader tarball has a broken symlink in it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1824430/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1826420] [NEW] Nautilus disk properties shows black circle
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 19.04 / Nautilus 3.32.0 stable (?) Mounting a disk (which does not show on the desktop may I add here as well) and asking for disk properties gives a black circle. Expected behaviour: different colours for used and unused parts, maybe gray for the unusable meta data. Current behaviour: a black disk telling me nothing. (I have no idea as to why a perfectly working file manager had to get crippled further, but someone managed). I do have a custom theme but it happens with the default theme as well. (Sorry my tone gets harsher every time but I really get tired being an alpha tester). [Bug 1825919] Re: Gedit right click context menu stops working
It just happened now... When this happened, I had right clicked on a misspelled work in a Firefox text area. I didn't get a popup context menu; I thought it was just Firefox acting up. So, I switched to my open Gedit window, to cut the correctly spelled word from my text document, and the context menu in Gedit wouldn't work either. It didn't work for a while. But as I started to research and copy logs in order to collect information to post here, the right click context menu magically started to work again, after some time. I'll post the journalctl out put here. The issue happened around 10:19 in the logs... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1825919 Title: Gedit right click context menu stops working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1825919/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1826416] [NEW] [Xenial] Customer can not SSH to Linux VM due to "VSC State Unhealthy"
Public bug reported: A mutual customer is reporting ssh is not working on a Xenial based VM. This VM is running the 4.4 based Xenial kernel and not a custom linux- azure kernel. After an investigation this is a known old signaling issue. The 4.4 based Xenial kernels require the following patch: vmbus: fix missing signaling in hv_signal_on_read() (https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=13c5e97701091f9b02ded0c68809f8a6b08c747a). The patch is not in the upstream stable 4.4 tree, because it’s not needed there. Compared to the upstream 4.4 tree, Ubuntu 4.4.0-124-generic integrated more hv patches from the mainline kernel, e.g. Drivers: hv: vmbus: finally fix hv_need_to_signal_on_read(), so it must pick up the above patch. We checked the latest Ubuntu 4.4 kernel (https://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/ubuntu- xenial.git/tree/?h=Ubuntu-4.4.0-146.172) and the patch is also absent there. The patch (13c5e97701091f9b02ded0c68809f8a6b08c747a) can be cleanly cherry-picked into Ubuntu-4.4.0-146.172. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: kernel-hyper-v ** Summary changed: - [Xenial] Customer could not SSH to Linux VM due to "VSC State Unhealthy" + [Xenial] Customer can not SSH to Linux VM due to "VSC State Unhealthy" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1826416 Title: [Xenial] Customer can not SSH to Linux VM due to "VSC State Unhealthy" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1826416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1826415] [NEW] Videos do not play in presentation mode
Public bug reported: It is not possible to play embedded videos in the presentation mode. This affects PDF slides created with the beamer/multimedia latex package. Initially, no controls are shown on the slide with the video. In the normal mode, video controls appear when the video is clicked with the mouse. However, in the presentation mode, evince goes to the next page when one clicks with the mouse so that the controls do not appear and the video can only be played by exiting the presentation mode. Playing videos works fine in presentation mode with the okular PDF- viewer. [Bug 1802944] Re: error: unsupported configuration: Target domain machine type
Hi Christian, (I posted to the Redhat list a while ago but it didn't seem to thread and was thus ignored.) Anyway I just upgraded to Disco yesterday and have run into a similar problem with broken snapshots on the first one I tried'Property .osxsave' not found. [SandyBridge CPU model] After using your PPA I was able to fix it removing this from snapshot. If Redhat won't I hope Ubuntu are at least able to carry this patch going forward, I can't believe no one else gets these sort of easily fixable problems with older snapshots. [Bug 1822993] Re: SRU: update Python 2.7 to 2.7.16, Python 3.7 to 3.7.3 and 3.6 to 3.6.8
Hello Matthias, or anyone else affected, Accepted python3-stdlib-extensions into bionic-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python3-stdlib- extensions/3.6.8-1~18.04 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from verification-needed-bionic to verification-done-bionic. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-bionic. ** Changed in: python3-stdlib-extensions (Ubuntu Bionic) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed-bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1822993 Title: SRU: update Python 2.7 to 2.7.16, Python 3.7 to 3.7.3 and 3.6 to 3.6.8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-stdlib-extensions/+bug/1822993/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I was able to verify that deleting ftrace/test.d/kprobe/multiple_kprobes.tc allows the remaining ftrace selftests (from the cosmic kernel tree) to pass. [Bug 1826410] [NEW] Please package libbpf (which is done out of the kernel src) in Debian
Public bug reported: Hi, Debian packages libbpf and so far does so out of the kernel source [1]. There is some movement to separate that from the kernel source [2] but this isn't ready yet. So far it is just a sync of the subtree out of the kernel sources. Since we do not share our kernel packaging we will not get this for-free without doing anything. If there will be an ITP about it in Debian I'll let you know and we can abort this, but unless that really happens I wanted to ask if you could as well build the libbpf* packages for 19.10 and onward? Note: this is not the same bpf lib as [3] despite the similarity in names.
